The Cambridge Homes is an amazing assisted living residence that feels like an extended family! There are less than 50 residents and each day brings activities of all kinds, such as live music, exercise class, play readings, outings and discussion groups. The meals are healthy and delicious, the staff is caring and professional and the environment warm and welcoming. Anyone would be lucky to live here.

My mother has been a resident at The Cambridge Homes for four years, and I cannot say enough about the extraordinary level of care, dignity, and compassion she has received there. My mother is 84 years old, has physical limitations and cognitive decline, and also holds a doctorate in Education from Harvard. Finding a community where she would feel intellectually comfortable, emotionally supported, and genuinely respected was incredibly important to our family. The Cambridge Homes has exceeded every expectation. What makes this community truly special is the caliber of both the residents and the staff. Surrounded by fellow Harvard, MIT, and highly accomplished academic residents, my mother continues to feel stimulated, engaged, and at home among peers who share similar life experiences and intellectual curiosity. The care is deeply personalized. The staff knows her preferences, her routines, her challenges, and her strengths. They treat her with patience, warmth, and respect every single day. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness have brought enormous peace of mind to our family. She is also a very picky eater, and the food has been consistently excellent. The Cambridge Homes is like no other senior assisted living place. Cosy, deeply charming, intimate, and warm, it feels like a large gorgeous home and not at all like an institution. Every member of staff is friendly, attentive, and caring, from the dining room to those assisting with medicine, to the management. The entertainment, exercise options, and education is fantastic and so are the trips. Lots to stimulate and amuse. The food is great. If you are looking for your self or your loved one, this is a true home where you can be assured that the experience will be warm and caring and very fun. I’m delighted my mother is a resident.

Nearly four years ago my father moved into THC, and he couldn't be happier, better taken care of, or more supported. The staff at THC is remarkable - truly caring, warm, and smart. There isn't an ounce of the "condescending to the old people" garbage we found in many other places - they don't infantilize their residents, they appreciate them for their histories, creativity, humor, and place in the community. The group dining, education, and community offerings are really great, but not forced upon anyone. The residents themselves look out for each other as well, forming a warm and vibrant place on all fronts. I really can't recommend THC enough.

My mother was a resident of The Cambridge Homes for just over two years. She was extremely happy there. Both she and I found the team of caregivers and the rest of the staff extremely supportive and sympathetic. The building feels more like a grand hotel than a home for the elderly. The cultural activities are particularly wonderful. I think there can’t be a better facility in which to age. Finally, I found the leadership team extremely helpful to me as I navigated the shifting needs of my mother.

Beautiful building and amazing audience at our "Life and Times of Paul Revere" presentation yesterday. Special thanks to Margit for following up with info for the residents about the 2025 publication "The Ride" by Kostra Kennedy and what many historians consider the "Bible" of Paul Revere books - "Paul Revere's Ride" by David Hackett Fischer. Many other books and publications were used for research and verification of facts to support the presentation.

My mother has had the great fortune to have resided at The Cambridge Homes for the past 7 years. She and we, her family, have felt so deeply grateful this has been her home these many years. Mom has been so comfortable and at peace in her lovely apartment, as well as in the beautiful Home itself, surrounded by the most exemplary staff. The care she has received has been extraordinary! In the course of these 7 years, her care requirements have changed with the natural progression of age. The Cambridge homes has made seamless changes to accommodate her needs, personally, smoothly and with the utmost loving concern. I live far away, but have been able to visit Mom many times over the years, Staying as a guest in The Cambridge Homes. I feel almost like a family member there! Everyone welcomes me as such! This opportunity has given me a bird's eye view of what the foundation of The Cambridge Homes is built upon and how it operates. One can easily notice that it is a wonderful place to work because the entire staff, in every position from administration, CNAs , reception, cooks,, servers, housekeeping, maintenance and so on, appears to love their job! I feel that the foundation and operation of The Cambridge Homes is built upon genuine warmth, love, concern, and willingness to do everything in their power for their beloved residents. My uncle, age 90, has been living at The Cambridge Homes for more than a year, and it has made an amazing positive difference in his life. He speaks highly of everyone who works there, feels that it's very well run, and praises the food. Their programs go far beyond the usual bingo and games, and include lectures and concerts. Previously, he was at a different assisted living which he very much disliked, so he has something to compare it to -- and so do I. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.
