Our mom is so happy living here. They take great care of her, try their best to meet her wishes. Heritage Woods maintains a clean facility, and the staff are very friendly and always helpful and courteous, while always maintaining a safe environment. I can't say enough good things about this place. And how grateful we are that mom likes being here. She's made lots of friends and is always as busy as she wants to be.

I had to find a safe place to put my Father due to him falling and forgetting to eat or just did not feel like cooking so he would not eat and forget when or if he took his meds. So I talked to him about his safety and he said bring me to the woods I want to see what its about. Mind you I did go to other places like Heritage Woods to look at But right from the start the woods made us feel like family. The aids are very good with the residents even Housekeeping goes out of their way to help out. The kitchen staff they do a fantastic job and all the management of the woods well for how I feel they are the moms and dads who keep our love ones safe. Oh and maintenance they are the best my dad and called them the fixers. lol

Heritage Woods has been the best place Ive ever worked. The employees are very caring in every department and are always willing to help anyone. Residents, coworkers and visitors alike. The Woods has been amazing through COVID-19 and went above and beyond to get the residents and employees through this pandemic and continue to do so. I would recommend this facility 100%!

My family is so happy we came across Heritage Woods for my mother. She has lived there for a few years and graduated to full memory care last year. The care she gets couldnt be better! The nurses who assist her day and night are so kind and good at their jobs. They communicate with us regularly so we always know when my mom needs more clothing, shoes and other household items. My mom looks nicely dressed and groomed when we see her, is always smiling and says she is very happy. The hallways are cheerful, aides and staff are moving about making sure everything is running well and all the memory care residents are fully engaged. For the first time in her life my mother is doing social activities everyday, all day and loves it. She has always been artistic and somewhat introverted so this is a positive change, particularly now that she lives in her own room away from family. We like knowing that she is moving about and seeing neighbors. We never have to worry that she wont be safe either. Memory care is accessible to family and visitors but very securely locked. There is a nicely planted patio and garden where residents can sit outside and do projects from time to time. My mothers room is bright with comfortable carpeting and a pretty neutral paint color. Her bathroom is large and quite clean. The memory care facility on the whole is immaculate, cheerful and pleasantly decorated so it is enjoyable to visit and it appeals to my mother. She has actually said to me that her kids are so nice to set her up there; this has been a relief. Apparently she approves of the food too. She goes to meals three times a day and always remarks that she enjoys it. Heritage did an exceptional job during COVID, restricting visitation so we didnt worry our mother would be exposed. All the residents and staff wore masks and continued to do many activities, socially distanced. At one point we were allowed to meet mom outside on a veranda, and that was also very well orchestrated.It seems remarkable that staff could manage patients with little memory so well for such a long period and also regularly update all the families. I will add that the success of this memory care unit must be due to a large extent to the highly competent director (Nadine) who is also welcoming and very professional. My family truly appreciates the personal approach to care at Heritage and feels its the perfect place for our mother to live as long as possible.

My mom is so happy with her decision to move to Heritage Woods and so are we! The facility is beautiful and her apartment as she calls it is wonderful. The staff have been so supportive with her transition to living there. Such peace of mind knowing she is happy and safe at Heritage Woods.

My sister has been in Heritage Woods for several years. During this period of time I could not have been more happy with the care, services, and other activities provided to her . My sister started as a general assisted living resident but now resides in the dementia unit called the Birches at Heritage Woods. This was a great benefit to me when I found out regular assisted living could no longer meet my sisters needs and it was so nice to know the dementia unit was in the same building. The entire staff from hands-on personnel, to nursing , and even the director have helped me throughout my sisters stay. I will never forget , when my sister had to leave assisted. living for several months because of a severe health issue. I did not think my sister would make it back so I gave her furniture to the Salvation Army. Months later my sister was able to transition back. and they were very supportive . They knew of my furniture dilemma so they gave me some replacement furniture. The nursing department has also been extraordinarily helpful as they assisted me to work through some of my sisters most challenging healthcare needs. During the past year of Covid 19 , all families would have taken pause to wonder if assisted living was going to be suitable for their loved ones. I however, never had any doubt my sister was less than fully protected. Theresa Bollea, the director, took charge and Covid 19 was held to a bare minimum in the building. Her responsibly was great. Remember she had hundreds of people to be concerned about. The residents, their family members, and her staff. She set up rules which protected all. She also insured the families by almost daily email of how the residents were doing in regards to Covid 19 testing, vaccinations, and other concerns. Finally, as you know we rate most of our experiences these days. We use five forks to rate the best restaurant. We also use five stars to rate the best products.. But my experience with Heritage Woods is so good I am bumping my personal rating to a Ten!

SO GLAD we found Heritage Woods! My mother moved into Heritage Woods at the beginning of the Pandemic, a very stressful and uncertain time. Because of CDC guidelines at the time, we were unable to visit with her as closely and frequently as we would have liked to help her in the transition to her new home. But the staff and administration stepped in right away caring for her! They were attentive and sensitive to her specific needs. They anticipated what would be stressful new experiences for her and were by her side accompanying her and bringing her into the family. The past year and a half was difficult for all, but every effort was made by the administration to keep residents and family (weekly ZOOM meetings) informed of all their efforts to not only keep our loved ones safe, but also to keep their minds and bodies healthy and active, and their spirits positive and hopeful. Its a lively place, a happy place. A sense of being home is felt the moment you walk through the doors. I would not hesitate to recommend Heritage Woods; genuine care and concern, communication, and quality staff-administration are hallmarks of Heritage Woods.

The care for my mom has been exceptional here at Heritage Woods. Every staff member from Nursing to Admin has been amazing and outstanding in taking care of my mom and all the residents. My Mom has been at Heritage Woods memory care unit for 2 years. More than half of her time there has been during this Covid 19 lock down. The staff there are more than compassionate and caring-they have protected and cared for Mom during this most difficult time. I highly recommend the Birches unit to families looking for a safe and nurturing facility for their loved one. They were always in touch with me through phone calls and emails to let me know what was happening with my Mom and helped me to have piece of mind. I feel blessed that she is in such capable hands.

I started at Heritage Woods this past winter in the activities department and could not be happier. The care and compassion provided by our team is by far the best! Every day I witness acts of kindness to our residents. Covid was relentless, but the safety of our residents was made a top priority by our executive director Theresa Bollea. All departments, including nursing, activities, dietary, maintenance and laundry truly treat our residents as family. I am proud to say I am part of this dynamic and exciting team!

Our family is very pleased with our ongoing experience at Heritage Woods. We have a beloved family member living in the memory care wing of Heritage Woods for almost 2 years now. The facility is clean, attractive, warm and welcoming. The staff at Heritage is top notch - professional, kind and caring. Their stringent protocols during the Covid-19 epidemic kept everyone safe. The communication from all departments was excellent, and kept us apprised and up to date. Most importantly, the caring attitudes, and the real efforts to keep spirits up of both residents and their families was greatly appreciated. I'm a resident, I've been here over three years and this place is a superior place for seniors or assisted living residents. They are very reasonable and the care is excellent. They have an exceptional amount of dedicated aides and employees. I strongly recommend this place for all seniors!

Just recently my Mother became a resident at Heritage Woods. My Mom has adjusted nicely to her surrounding with much help from the staff. Initially it was hard but the staff checked on her through out each day and now she feels comfortable in her new home. Thank you all for your patience and kindness.

My mother moved to Heritage from a nearby care facility and has been there for half a year. I call her a few times each week and she consistently claims she is quite happy. The staff is very professional, courteous and helpful and overall my mother is very well cared for. Every time I am visiting nurses are present in the halls making sure everyone is doing well and chatting with residents which makes for a spirited atmosphere. The attitude is always upbeat and friendly. If my mother is walking down the hall, someone always asks if she needs assistance and offers to escort her. She is frequently reminded to go to meals in the dining room so we are never worried she may forget where or when to eat. The food staff is extremely accommodating and kind. My mother says the food is good, a compliment from a person who used to cook well. Every evening my mother has encouragement and help with personal care such as bathing, hair washing and medication. There is a salon on campus where she has a regular weekly cut and or wash and set. If my mother is appearing disheveled in any way and needs her hair fixed, the beautician takes her in without me having to ask. I feel assured that her grooming is always nice. My mothers room is immaculate, bright, cheerful and new, as are all the hallways and common rooms. There are many desirable common spaces for community gathering with interesting activities, and many residents are in them all day. I actually enjoy going to visit my mother now. I am not worried about showing up and finding her in a vulnerable state. This is a big relief for my family. We are all able to relax about her well being, contentment and safety as she ages.

Mom has lived here going on 2 years and we are all very happy with Heritage Woods. The staff is attentive and professional. The food is nutritious and good. There are many activities daily and they have day trips also. This is one of the nicest assisted living facilities in the area! Mom feels very safe and secure here.

My mom is in Heritage Woods now. They are very nice and attentive. She likes the food and the dining setup. Her apartment is big enough for her. She is comfortable there.

We know most of the people that work at Heritage Woods. The facility is very well laid out. There are activities all the time; there is a guy who plays piano once in a while, sing alongs, and trips. Mom took her dog, and she is having a very good time there. The room is an L-shape, 2-rooms, kitchenette, bathroom, and a bedroom with a walk-in shower with a holding bar. Mother has no complaints, and they required you to do home laundry.

I went to the Heritage Woods for a Craft fair. I have to say it's a beautiful place. The Staff is very friendly and the place is so clean that I would definitely go there if I had to. Cudos to you Heritage Woods!!

The time when we researched about a facility, we talked to a lot of different people and they said it was the best one. I like that the people are very nice. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others. Recent they were taking in a lot of Alzheimer's patients and it was really upsetting for most of the people because these Alzheimer's patients are lost all the time. They can't find their rooms.

Because Heritage Woods is cost effective for us, we decided on this community for my father. They seem effective for the cost that they were charging as opposed to some of the other possibilities. I didn't think any of the other facilities would have anything more to offer to warrant what they were charging. First off, I like best the fact that they gave us pretty much an open platform. They told us, 'Whatever you need, let me know and we'll make it happen,' and they have followed up with it. The staff there has been very, very gracious. I have not seen one person with a bad attitude yet. Right now my dad is in a shared room. There isn't another person in his room at the moment, but they may eventually be. However, not only does he have his own space for his bedroom and what-not, he's also got a little kitchenette. It is a shared kitchen area. He also has very spacious bedroom and bathroom. He can wheel his wheelchair directly into the bathroom and shower. My dad is also very pleased with the food. They also have some very fun activities like football for the guys, etc. Just recently, they had a concert there. My dad called me the other night and said, 'You know what? It doesn't get any better than this.' He is extremely happy with where he is right now.
