I am a Former Home health Nurse who has been to over 100 Senior Living Buildings Across the country . Story Point stands above all of them. From the second you pull into the parking lot the Building itself is Top Notch and Looks Amazing. As you enter the Building you are meet with By Victoria Montgomery The lead receptionist who always has a Big Smile, Friendly and makes you feel right at Home not only to Visitor's but also with the way she interacts with the resident's I watched her go out of her way to assist them with all there Needs. I also had the Pleasure to meet Summer Durham the Life Enrichment Director who the residents and Family Talk no stop about the unique and special Activities she is able to Create for them. Summer's smile and laugh warms the place and makes this place feel like Home .to both the residents and there Families. I highly recommend coming in and attending any Activity she has created because of the Unique Different things she has spent countless hours preparing . Top Notch Building The inside is just Beautiful, Clean and well Ran By Brooke Sistruck The Executive Director of the Building who has built a amazing Team who all Create a loving Feeling... 5 stars in not enough Stars For this Building I would Give them 10 Stars if possible.

The activities are amazing! This review is long over due for activities! From the music mocktail Mondays to Mardi gras activity. What really impressed me was the Valentine’s Day Dance. As a family member, seeing the love and joy at StoryPoint Louisville South this Valentine’s Day meant so much to us. The Sweetheart Dance was beautifully done ” the music by DJ Kelly brought so much energy, and the buffet dinner was wonderful. What truly stood out was how both the residents and staff participated together. You could feel the genuine care, laughter, and connection throughout the entire building. It was more than just an event ” it was a heartfelt celebration that made every resident feel special and loved. The Executive Director and team are doing a fantastic job.

I recently visited StoryPoint Louisville South with my mother, and I just have to say how wonderful the receptionist was. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with such kindness and professionalism. She made us feel completely welcome and comfortable, which means so much when you’re exploring options for a loved one. She was patient, knowledgeable, and happy to answer our questions. You can truly tell she cares about the residents and their families. First impressions matter, and she made ours a great one. Thank you for making our visit such a positive experience!

As a family member, I did notice that the dining experience was a bit inconsistent at first when my aunt first moved in. However, over the past couple of months there have been major improvements. The new F&B Director is great. It’s clear the management team has listened and taken action, and that effort is truly appreciated. Thank you for continuing to make positive changes for the residents. I also heard that the ED stayed several nights at the building with the residents during the snow storm weekend. That is true dedication and excellent leadership!

My relative moved in a few months ago, and I’ve been very impressed with the building. As a former business owner, the Executive Director stood out to me immediately. I intentionally waited before leaving a review to ensure the quality extended beyond the initial transition period, and it has. She demonstrates strong, principled leadership, is highly detailed and fair, and is genuinely invested in both the building’s success and her staff. Her hands-on leadership and high standards foster a culture of trust, accountability, and excellence throughout the community. What truly sets her apart is her unwavering commitment and genuine heart. She leads from the front, remains fully engaged when challenges arise, and consistently goes above and beyond her role.

I’ve been truly impressed with the Executive Director. She genuinely cares about the residents and holds her team to a high standard in the best way possible. Even on weekends and late weekday evenings, she’s still working from home to ensure everything remains safe, compliant, and running smoothly. Since she’s stepped into her role, employee and resident morale has noticeably improved day by day. You can see the positive changes she’s made throughout the community. If someone asked me for an example of what a great Executive Director looks like, I would choose her without hesitation. She is a HUGE blessing!

While my mother's experience in the community was excellent and the staff was supportive, I have encountered significant difficulty and zero follow-through from management regarding the final billing after her recent move to memory care. The apartment was vacated and cleaned out on October 30, 2025, following a formal move-out letter submitted on October 17, 2025, stating a vacating date of November 17, 2025 (we moved her earlier than anticipated). Despite moving out and giving notice, the full November rent was charged to my account on November 13, 2025. My subsequent attempts to receive a final bill have been unsuccessful. I was told on November 20, 2025, that a final bill would be emailed to me, but I have not received the document or any further communication since that time. I require an immediate final bill that resolves the November rent charge and a confirmed date for when the refund will be processed. The lack of communication and promptness regarding a financial matter is unacceptable

My care was pretty much top notch. Only a few issues. Had to remind them of a med I had to take with meals. My phosphorus blocker, but finally got them to give me the days meds all atone time so I could take them as needed. One nurse got a bit snippy, but I know how harassed they can get. My biggest problem was meals. Several meals were missing items, and had to asked to be changed from renal diet, because it was too extreme. Hoping my feedback helps future residents. But my mom had been several times, and I had been once before. So I knew I'd get good care.

The facility itself is beautiful and the rooms are nice. However, my father has been there for 2 years now and there are constant issues with the plumbing, having cold or hot water or none at all, and the inadequate meals. The dining staffing has been an issue the entire time. It seems as though there is a huge management issue with this location. The turnover rates have been astronomical. The inability to keep a kitchen staff and a head chef is mind-boggling. The lack of consistency with the quality of the meals is unacceptable and not reflective of their marketing and advertising. My dad complains frequently of the amount of time it takes for meal service. Several of the other tenants at his table complain about not getting what they have requested and when they question it they receive attitude from staffing. They have seen several staffing walkouts and terminations. Corporate needs to step in and hire people who are adequately trained and experienced for these higher paid/management type positions. They also need to pay what those positions are worth. Otherwise, there will be a constant revolving door. There seem to be improvements in the area of tenants who are independent versus borderline assisted living tenants. The laundry facilities are not consistent throughout the building. Activities and events are their plus. While I understand updates to the building take time, at what point do they finish?

My grandfather is a current resident, after many tours of multiple residency’s, this was the obvious choice. My grandfathers transition was made so seamless due to the helpful staff! He raves about the meals, and activities offered to him. We visit regularly and have lunches together, the food offered is absolutely delicious! I am at ease with him being a resident at Storypoint!

I live here and it's what I needed. The staff are extremely helpful and professional. Their Activities Director goes above and beyond. It's very relaxing everyone is a true character.

The staff here is very loving. And since Ponder Creek isn’t as big as some of the other retirement villages, it feels more like a family-environment. The activities for residents are great, the grounds are well-kept, and best of all, Ponder Creek is pet friendly, which helped one of our former adopters (of 2 shitzus) decide to move here!
