I would like to commend the Executive Director and staff for always going above and beyond for us residents. They do an outstanding job meeting each of our needs. The dining room and entertainment staff are helpful and make us feel at home. I was unsure of moving to a retirement facility, but I am so happy and pleased to be a resident here.

We are so happy with everything here. The residents and staff are kind and outgoing. The staff is willing to help us if we have any problems. We feel at home here, safe and secure in the building. It has been great getting to know the other residents and participating in the various activities offered.

We have no complaints and are very happy here. We found this place at the right time for us and love the location. Most of our kids live nearby, so we get to enjoy their company as well as the company of the residents here. There are plenty of activities to keep us busy. We love eating in the dining room and getting to eat and chat with different people each time.

The staff and residents at Shawnee Hills are always friendly. There is a large variety of activities for residents to keep us busy. I love the location because it is close to where I used to live, so I can keep in contact with friends and still attend my church.

I visited Shawnee Hills on a tour with my best friend & her mother. It was a Beautiful experience!! There is a true, genuine sense of Family, Care & LOVE at this community. The residents were all so very nice & stopped to talk with us & tell us she would love it there. Janet with the community gave us the tour & spent lots of time with us, but she was a God send & took her time & did above & BEYOND to accommodate us. Her genuine care & compassion for the community shows throughout the entire place! It was very obvious & apparent the residents LOVE her back! It was obvious with the other staff we came in contact with that they were happy & loved the residents. Beautiful grounds, beautiful interior. Lots of activities & KIND, happy residents. P.S. the food was AWESOME!!

Janet and Rita at Shawnee Hills are AMAZING!! If you are wanting to move a loved one you wouldn't regret it! All the residents love it there and they do an amazing job at making you feel at home. The rooms are so spacious and so much room. A studio doesn't even feel like a studio apartment!

I was given a tour of the entire community and was very impressed. Friendly, Happy, and fun informative staff. Liked the layout of the facility and clean, open atmosphere. So many amenities and residents all seemed so happy. I am very serious about making my move to Shawnee Hills.

I had a fantastic experience when I visited my aunt who raves about the community and the staff. She is extremely happy staying at this community because she loves each resident, staff, and food. I am happy to know that my aunt is at a great place after meeting some of the staff Rita, who is the Executive Director, and Marcy and Mary Lou who's at the front desk.

Shawnee Hills exceeded all of our expectations. The Staff, Accommodations, Activities, and Dining is all 5 star. I visited several senior living facilities and was not impressed. However, once we stepped foot into Shawnee Hills, it was love at first sight. It’s safe, fun and turn key for the next chapter in your love one’s lives who wants to continue enjoying their senior years. Totally recommend Shawnee Hills to anyone who is considering transitioning into independent living. My parents are so happy and that’s all the matters!

Shawnee Hills has proven to be a perfect place for our mom. She loves her spacious one bedroom apartment, balcony and provided meals. The staff and management were so helpful in our mom's transition to living at Shawnee Hills. In her words, she said moving to Shawnee Hills is like going to college and living in a dorm. There are so many nice people to meet, fun activities and people always stop by to invite you to lunch and dinner. Our family is so happy with the "community feel" at Shawnee Hills.

As a first step in considering downsizing from her home, my mom and I visited Shawnee Hills. It was a wonderful experience. Wendy was kind from the moment we planned the visit through the after-visit call. While we were there, she was welcoming and gracious as if giving us a tour her own home. The community spaces were clean and being updated in places (which I appreciated, showing they keep things up), the rooms were modern and offered outdoor space, and the hallways were homey. We ran into multiple residents who were all friendly and smiling, saying hello and nice to meet you. All seemed to be in good spirits which spoke volumes to me. I appreciated all of the amenities and programming available.

My 100 year old Father-In-Law, B-29 Aircraft Commander, Ben Nicks has resided in your facility for several years. Everytime we visit Ben we are impressed by the staff, the cleanliness, the cafeteria, and the entire organization! Thank you! Ben will be 101 years old in a few days and he is still going strong. Very impressed wth Shawnee Hills Senior Living. Wendy provided us with a great deal of information not only about independent livng, but also about assisted care living. We are not yet ready to take this next step to leave our home and move to an independent living facility, but when we are, we will be meeting again with Wendy to plan further. Go by and visit...nice lunch, a tour of the facility and lots of important information.

As the operator of an in home daycare, we look for opportunities to have the kids reach out to the community. We have been visiting Shawnee Hills for a year now, and always enjoy our time there. The activity director, Jordan, is a joy to work with, and the love of her job and the residents shines through each time we visit. The facility is clean and very nice, and the residents are such wonderful, caring people. I can only hope to find this sort of place when it comes time for me to do so. 5 stars

My name is Barbara and I have lived at Shawnee Hills for over 4 and 1, 2 years. Before I moved here I lived in a nice little apartment with lots of windows but for some reason got almost no sunlight. My brother and sister-in-law called it the cave and suggested I move into a senior community. That was the last thing I wanted to do but they pushed and pushed. Thank goodness they did! I love it here. I live on the third floor, have a nice view, a nice breeze, and lots of sunshine. The people who live here are all so nice and we are all at about the same stage in our lives. I have made some great friends and there is always something for us to do (if we so desire). There are games, card games, art classes, craft classes, trips to many interesting places, etc. The people who work here are special people. When I lost my son about six months ago, they were all right there for me. They were my family. I am so lucky to be here at this point in my life. I am happy! I would give this 5 stars except for the small problem in the dining room. There is a shortage of servers right now but they are addressing the problem and soon will have it solved.

My father lives here. Hes been there now for a year and a half and I wholly appreciate the careful care of the staff and all they do for him. It is so much better than a nursing home they have additional services for health care and it is impressive and comforting.

Wow. My mom was happy there her very first day. Shawnee Hills is like a really nice hotel with a personality all its own. She has now spent 2 weeks there and loves it. She loves the residents, facilities, staff and food. Mom now walks every day ... in the halls or outside depending on the weather. Everyone is so friendly. They put up my dads navy uniform in the veterans display ... which my mom totally loves. My aunts and uncles really appreciated it too. Family and friends all love her room and are really glad she is there.

During my journey to find a new home for my Mother, I called and spoke to Kevin Blom at Shawnee Hills Senior Living. The moment he answered the phone, I knew I had found her home. Kevin is awesome! He is informative - patient - and just a genuine, kind person. I am sure you know what an asset he is to your company... I later met Rita, who is without a doubt an incredible person - she is so caring and does a fantastic job. I have met David Russell, who is amazing - and Donny, the Activity Director is terrific...Mother loves her new home, and we all feel very blessed to have found such an unbelievable group of people...
