Looks are deceiving. Very pretty but in reality it all boils down to money with them will promise you all you want and will try to accommodate for about a month or two. Once they know they have your loved one in there facility your needs/concerns start being ignored or avoided. They will start not calling back are answer your calls which is unacceptable. Each is own but investigate before committing. Good luck and GOD Bless

Over the last year they’ve fired all the good nurses/CNAs and replaced them with bad ones (albeit lower salaries). My sister, who lives there, states she no longer feels safe.

Care of Mom, 93 years old, was very good at the facility. I am giving only a 2 star rating due to failure of discharge process and no vaccines she signed up to get. Meds and home healthcare was supposed to be setup for when we got her home, 110 miles away. NOTHING WAS SETUP. I have spent the last 2 days trying to get what she needs for her home. Someone is not doing their job!!!! Very frustrating and unprofessional,as I live in OP and Mom lives in SEKS. I needed the setups completed as I can only be off this week to help with getting things straightened out. Now we are at Thursday and still no home health setup. I go back to work on Monday!!! In addition she was supposed to get her COVID and RSV shots. She signed paperwork to get them and never did! Again someone dropped the ball here.

I had a wonderful experience here. I've been in the physical therapy section twice now for different reasons and will end up going again (my condition is an ongoing affliction). The nurses are kind and understanding. The CNAs were fast and friendly and didn't bat an eye about tending to my needs and didn't make me feel bad or humiliated when I couldn't do for myself. The physical therapy team worked with me to gain some independence with my latest surgery. The administrative people were efficient and went the extra mile to make sure I would have what I needed when I came home. My room was private (thank God) and was cleaned every day by the nicest of ladies. Even the snack lady was great. Did I have to wait? Sometimes, but I've done in-patient physical therapy in other establishments where the wait time was excruciating. I had to wait here too, but never to the point where it was unbearable. I just kept in mind that they are one or two people spread out over a number of patients and I am not their only patient nor are these people my servants. I hope to return to this facility after my next surgery.

My friend lived at Brookdale Rosehill... she recently passed away but I had to write a review to sing the praise of the staff in the assisted living Bldg B. The nursing director, KB, Tammy and Kelsey have been amazing. I could not recommend this facility more highly.

My mom has been a resident there about a month and she is liking it so far. The staff (especially the director - Amanda) is so very kind. She’s answered every question and request. The staff seems to love my mom which is reassuring and calming. It’s hard to see your parents have to move but having them somewhere you trust is number one priority. I am so thankful for the staff caring for her.

My mother was here for a month and then we moved her to another facility so she could ideally get more rehab hours in elsewhere. There were some positives: she liked the food, and there were a handful of staff that were really good to her. Their case manager was also very good to work with. The issue however came to their inconsistency of staffing. Sometimes pills were delivered hours late. She also required two aides to move her which meant she had to anticipate at least thirty minutes before she’d want out of bed. Her last few days there were very bad-waiting hours if certain staff wasn’t on shift to help. If they got admissions at night she’d also be waiting hours, often times in soiled undergarments. They also somehow damaged two of her toenails using a lift that I had to be notified of by a family member and not the facility. They are also short staffed on housekeeping. I’d see med cups or trash sitting on her floor for days. They do have some good staff here but you can tell they’re getting burnt out by the bad and/or leadership. On my mother’s last day an agency nurse working told her she should be glad she’s getting out of there. I couldn’t with a good conscious recommend this location.

My mom spent a month at Brookdale Rosehill for a month to recover from a stroke. She loved the therapy team (Billie, Mallory, Dawn), attending physician (Dr. Coffey), and a few very compassionate aides (Corinne and Aaliyah). She also thought the food was good, for a facility. The housekeeping was inconsistent, and some of agency staff were also not as stellar, especially overnight. Staff regularly called family if there were any concerns, and to support discharge planning. We had very little time to choose a rehabilitation facility to go from the hospital. I recommend looking at the Medicare Care Compare tool to look at the CMS rating system and inspections. We selected this facility because it was rated as a 5 star facility, and there are very few in the KC metro area. Staffing is especially challenging for nursing facilities, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the direct service staff, overall.

This place is one of the very best you could ask for, everyone is very caring, helpful and professional. Dr.Coffey is the best you could ask for along either all her assistant. The nurses were the best, Tom, Paul and Moraco plus all the aids.

Reasonably decent facility. Very good therapy. Food is good. Facility is clean, smells good and is well-maintained. Front desk reception is pleasant. Case Manager and Nurse Manager did respond to concerns that were relayed. Communication is provided when requested. Advocate for your family member and be proactive when in any facility. Do not assume anything. There were some very good staff. Some are probably stretched thin during the pandemic. We thank those who do care about their work.

My brother was in Brookdale Rosehill for 2 months as part of his rehabilitation after a stroke and he liked it very much.All nurses, Mabel,Lindsay and Sherry were the absolute BEST and Therapists Elisha,Alicia,and Marcy and aids were all wonderful. Food was very good which was important to him as he had been on pureed food prior to coming there and was trying to regain some lost weight . They worked with him and helped him regain alot of his strength and mobility. Case Manager Jill was great and coordinated his care and departure and everything was always handled with my brothers best interest at heart. Great place ! Highly recommend this facility!

My care was for the most part good. I was sent home with a prescription that I had quit taking 2 weeks earlier. I was overbilled on meds at first and no one told me I didn't have to take the meds home. Omnicare, their billing service, got with them and the bill dropped to $20.04 which I paid and was told that would clear my account. Then I got another bill???? I have a call into them now but think their business department leaves a lot to be desired.

My mother is currently residing at Brookdale Rosehill - (the skilled nursing side) Can't say enough nice things about the nurses, aides, PT's OT's etc. etc. My mother was sent to another facility directly from the hospital, and we had to move her out, because it was not safe nor suited for someone that was just released from the hospital. My mom stayed one night and then my dad picked her up and brought her home until we found another place. Brookdale Rosehill had the best reviews on multiple websites- and on medicare.gov. Anyway, she is completely happy here. She said that out of all the other rehab facilities that she has had to visit over the years, the physical therapy group here at Brookdale is the BEST! On top of the great staff, the amenities are wonderful too! From the moment you check in, the staff makes sure that your needs are met, and find out what their interests are. When your loved one is up to it, they have socials, meals in the dining room, crafts, games, spa days, and much much more! Mom is due to be released in the next week, and has improved so much since she has been there. (broken hip & pelvis) I would like to thank everyone at Brookdale for being so nice! I would also like to give a special shout out to Joyce, mom's very first nurse... who was AMAZING! We love her!! I would definitely recommend this place for skilled nursing or as a permanent residence down the road.

Our Grandma was here for a couple of weeks and they were absolutely wonderful! One of the workers we nicknamed ET was fabulous with her and all of our family! The staff is friendly! Our Social Worker Dawn was extremely helpful! They helped my Grandma learn to use her good leg, and prepared us to go home with her. They have great activities for the residents to do, including wine Wednesday! The facility is beautiful. If Grandma has to be in rehab again, we will definitely have her come back to Brookdale Rosehill.

I would especially like to recognize Lindsey, Mabel, Ruth, and Safari for excellence in nursing care. I had the privilege of being a student nurse here for clinical and can say that I had one of the best experiences I could have hoped for. All of the staff are incredibly kind and caring, and each person knows the resident's like the back of their hand providing care that meets each individual's needs. I would absolutely trust this facility with my loved one after being able to see first hand the type of care that is provided. Management is also very kind and supportive of everyone in the facility. It was a very pleasant, happy environment and I want to sincerely thank you for having us!

We recently moved my elder parents to Brookdale Rosehill in Shawnee. The Staff , and I mean everyone, went above and beyond to help us with all aspects of the move. They helped with paper work, insurance, durable power of attorney and still took care of my parents needs also. This is the best place and staff to work with. I am a retired nurse and understand how frustrating the medical and insurance can be. There was no problem or situation that someone at Brookdale Rosehill was unable to handle . The Nursing care and CNA are very attentive to my parents needs. This was a difficult time for my parents , moving after 30 years in same location, but the staff has made is much easier for everyone
