Family member rehabbed here after knee surgury. The entire staff was fabulous and attentive. Food was good and the remodeled Wallace wing was lovely. I would highly recommend Village Shalom for short term rehab.

I just want to say that this is by far the best facility I have ever been too! The staff including the management are absolutely phenomenal! I would trust my loved ones retiring here when that time comes! Please check this place out for work or for your loved one. They go above and beyond for all type of care!

We recently moved into the independent living section of the Village Shalom retirement community--and it is everything we hoped it would be. The established residents have been welcoming and have gone out of their way to get us oriented and included. Staff members (from housekeeping, building maintenance, food service, fitness, programming, etc) have been friendly, helpful, and committed to getting us acclimated, comfortable and involved. The restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh, high quality and healthy food—all served with a smile. We have been very pleased with our transition from home ownership to senior living at Village Shalom.

I know this retirement community is excellent. But I am writing about the driver of a van today march 12, 2024 at 12:52 pm heading north on 99th and Metcalf run through RED LIGHT. You have to retrain the driver or GET RID OF HIM.

It was a rough start, but once the CEO changed to a new person things have rapidly improved. My husband has been at Village Shalom since December 28 of last year and since March 1 has been in the assisted living and memory care. Many of the glitches have been worked out and things are going smoothly and I am very pleased with his care.

The place itself is terrific, as are most of the people...with that being said. Nate treats his employees like they're beneath him and is VERY rude to them. I made a mistake of taking my smoke break in the wrong spot...(I thought the street was not their property mistakenly, so that's where I smoked after being told not to on the property) I came back in and was reprimanded loudly. He proceeded to call me a "weasel" I was nothing but apologetic, he then called my temp service and sent me home and tried to do so without paying me for the time I was there. This was extremely embarrassing and I would NEVER recommend someone to work under him, many people there are unhappy with his leadership. I'm only disappointed because I loved working with them.

As an outside provider and hospice worker, I see a lot of facilities. I can easily say Village Shalom is one of the nicest facilities in the area. I was very impressed with the upkeep and cleanliness of their establishment. A special thank you to Nurse Steven in memory care. He was very warm and compassionate towards my patient, and extremely helpful and kind to me. Awesome job, guys! Keep up the good work!

Village Shalom gets 5 stars from our family. Most importantly, they have treated my mom with kindness & respect. The nurses are extremely capable, professional and do whatever they can to get the job done! Bonus points for a very well maintained, beautiful & clean facility. Can't say enough.

I moved into a villa at Village Shalom four days ago. Moving is always stressful but VS made it as comfortable as possible. I had a contract on my previous home the day it went on the market. I thus needed to move quickly, and my villa required considerable work. Every employee of VS and every vendor recommended by VS who helped me with the move performed competently, cheerfully, and timely. I could not be more pleased with my decision to live here. I am seventy-six, in good health, and delighted to be able to look forward to enjoying for many years the lifestyle that VS offers. Sharon Shoham, 1/7/14.
