They have friendly and engaging staff, beautiful grounds and there are always activites going on so the residents have plenty of options on how they want to spend their time. I would recommend Silverado to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones, they would be well taken care of here!

I visited the community and as you walk in it looks and smells great. Not like others! The staff was nice and the residents were happy dancing and singing. They even allow pets! I would for sure move a family member in to Silverado Overland Park!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Silverado Overland Park and was very impressed with the environment and overall atmosphere. The residents appeared engaged and joyful, with many participating in singing and other activities. The facility was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Additionally, the staff was friendly, attentive, and demonstrated a high level of professionalism and care.

This community is wonderful. From the moment you walk through the front door, you are greeted with welcoming smiles and abundant warmth. The entire staff goes above and beyond and they truly care about the residents and it shows. The nurses, aides, ambassador activities director and even the maintenance people are exceptional to work with and very accommodating. I would highly recommend Silverado and would trust them with my loved ones care.

I recently came in to see my grandma for the first time. Not knowing the building very well the staff was amazing with not only helping me find my way, but giving a little bit of information about the building as well thank you Aaron! My grandma is very happy with the staff and said they are very helpful, within the couple hours i was there visiting multiple staff members came by to make sure she was doing okay. Building was spotless and every staff member was doing their part. Thank you silverado for keeping my grandma and her cat safe and happy!!

I had been looking for a place for my family member and I passed Silverado every day and something told me I needed to stop and check it out. I walked in and felt like was a warm cozy home. After talking with staff and took a tour I knew in my heart this was the right fit for us. I am grateful for the staff that assists and I love our family pet could be there.

Every time I visit Silverado I see the residents engaging in different activities throughout the day. They always have wonderful music playing and they even have live musicians come and play! The residents and families I see there are very happy. The new families and new residents that come seem to immediately be one apart of this wonderful family! all staff is amazing! Everyone is willing to help each other out, great care, great communication. I can't say enough about all disciplines that work here! Thank you for building such a beautiful family!

You can tell how much thought goes into every aspect of everyday life for the residents. I especially love all of the many community pets that live there and find their forever homes. It's sad to give 2 stars to a place that is supposed to be giving your loved one the best care possible in their time of need. But that is not what we experienced. In less than 3 months, this facility went from fully staffed to having to hire (less than competent) agency/temp personnel. Once that happened, the care for and communication about my dad went completely downhill. If we asked about my dad we were told "I don't know, I'm from an agency". Sadly, we were most disappointed with the Director of Health Services (head RN) and other management. Their inability to properly train caretakers led to incorrect charting and documentation as well as administering medications that were supposed to be removed from my dad's chart. When I called corporate to resolve these issues, I was ignored and bounced back to the facility. The lack of care and true compassion from all of these individuals was beyond disappointing. If you want a qualified care facility for your loved one, look elsewhere.

I feel my loved one gets lots of love and hugs and conversation and care and respect and dignity. I have enjoyed many meals with her and the food is delicious. We moved our loved one to Silverado from another memory care facility and couldn’t be more pleased! The vibe is completely different--more joy, more energy, more hope! There’s a genuine community feel. The leadership is very professional, caring, and accessible. Most of all, I’m grateful for the attentive staff who discovered and corrected previously neglected care needs (i.e. a medication dosing error and an untreated wound). It’s truly the people, who are taking care of your loved ones, that make all the difference. Positive, compassionate, and competent leadership sets the right example and tone for everything that happens in a community. Silverado has the right people, who are passionate about what they do, and the difference is noticeable. Silverado has an amazing Activities Director and team. They provide meaningful and stimulating activities every day, including occasional field trips”wow! They truly have a gift for meeting the residents where they are and giving them purpose in their lives. The residents are engaged and lively, which is pretty extraordinary for memory care. I believe many families will find hope for their loved one at Silverado!

My Mother has been a resident since May 2021. While I was pleased with her care with the previous owners, Silverado has taken the care to a higher level. They are strong in every detail and have implemented wonderful programs for the residents. My Mother smiles with many of the staff when I visit and is very comfortable. I know she is safe and cared for. My experience with the communication between families and staff is effortless. I would highly recommend Silverado to any family who is looking for a safe and caring environment.

My father who lives at Silverado Overland Park has so enjoyed all the activities that the activity directors put on daily! He especially loves when the piano players come! It is so fun to see him singing along. It has been so good that the activity directors at Silverado have worked very hard to make great appropriate activities (art, floral and travel club) and so much more!! He receives great care and absolutely loves the food of course dessert is his favorite.

My 94-year-old Mother moved to Silverado from a small, locked memory unit in a nursing home a few months ago and has completely changed. She's happier, so much calmer and is enjoying being a part of a family again. When I get there the staff knows where she is, but it isn't sitting in her room moping, she is out participating, talking with other residents, watching old movies or sitting out in the sun - forever a California girl! The staff are very hands on, they always greet the residents by name, talk to them about how their day is going and take the time to get to know them - the pictures and their stories. Their interactions are always personal to her and help her hold on to memories that are slipping away from her. Before she moved to Silverado I got a lot of late-night phone calls with Mom getting on the phone angry, unreasonable, inconsolable. And it always sounded like the staff was exasperated which only escalated her tirades. I don't get those anymore. I did get one call in the evening a few weeks ago and the sweetest voice introduced herself and said she was sitting with Mom and Mom was feeling lost and tired and just wanted to talk to me. Mom got on the phone and we just had a conversation, the nurse was right there with her, calm, reassuring, letting her know she was at home and safe. We finally had a good laugh at her commenting on MY advanced age and then she said she was tired and going to bed. What a difference! To say that Silverado is a great place for those losing their memories, it's also a great place for their families. The staff are great at keeping in touch. They are always willing to help with appointments, scheduling, they keep me on top of Mom's needs and what they can do to make sure those needs are met. I don't feel like I have to remember to ask for things or juggle it all, the staff reaches out to me to see if it would be something Mom might like or need that I hadn't thought of. And then in the middle of my workday I'll get an email with a picture of her sitting out in the sun, content. My brother, who is out of state, and I always comment that we finally got it right; a place where Mom is safe, comfortable and most importantly, where the best of what's left of her can bloom and shine! We can't ask for more than that.

The staff here are the kindest and sweetest. Our mother has made a substantial turnaround in her depression and frustration since moving here from a nursing home. The director and social worker have been very responsive to our questions and suggestions and the activity staff and nurses have provided our mother with stimulating activities and loving care. My sister and I are so happy our mom can smile again and feel at home.
