My wife and I have been residents of University Place since its opening in May, 2003. It is a continuing-care facility with independent living, assisted living, memory support, and health care services all under one roof-- a convenient arrangement to provide for changing needs as one ages. It is small enough to enable a warm and friendly community spirit among residents and staff; yet it is owned and overseen by a service corporation with considerable experience and financial resources, providing a reassuring amount of stability. The building, attractive and well appointed, is situated in a pastoral location adjoining a municipal nature preserve, with many walking trails nearby through wooded areas. The staff, both managerial and hourly, is consistently well chosen: capable and dedicated. There are numerous enrichment activities provided, both religious and secular; hobbies are encouraged (e.g., there is a well-equipped woodworking shop), strong pastoral support is always available; and quality dining service is a continuing priority. A close relationship with nearby Purdue University provides access to expertise of many kinds, and the surrounding university town of West Lafayette--along with its sister city of Lafayette--offers many cultural, entertainment, and sports venues. We can unequivocally recommend University Place as an outstanding choice for quality retirement living.

University place is a friendly, family oriented senior citizen living community. Has all four areas in one building that any senior citizen could need. Independent living, assisted living, memory support, and healthcare we have lots of opportunities to interact with other residents on a daily basis. You are very welcome to come join Our family.

University Place in West Lafayette seems like a safe, friendly, and happy place for my mom. They have a lot of activities from which to choose, and bring in a lot of entertainment (I am involved in musical groups that play there) when possible. I like that residents can stay inside the same building through advancing, life-altering health issues.

Our mother is 97. She has been at UP for several years. Our experience with UP has been terrific. Their messaging during the pandemic has been great. As well as their safety methods - zero infections among staff and residents. The facility is very pleasant and well maintained.

Our Mom moved in to University Place ( UP ) Independent Living last year and its been such a wonderful change and welcoming community. We never worry about her and know that she has made lots of friends and has warm support from everyone. The staff and the administration are amazing and are very professional. I always look forward to a visit and feel the same warm welcomes when I arrive. Its a great place and I hope if I ever want to find a retirement community to move to, that this will be a model of living I will look for in my later years.

I walked in university place almost 4 years ago for a job interview I knew from the start I belonged here and at the time I had 4 job offers. But I knew that I wanted to call it my home. They ate the most kind caring people I've worked with. They are like family by choice. The benefits are very good also. You're always greeted with a smile no matter how you're days going. It is a beautiful facility and the residents seem very happy here. The care is good and we all work together as a team! I love my job at university place!

For so many places of Health Care facilities I work and bosss I work with. This place still on the top of my list as a recommendation to put your parents, family, or love ones in. (If you want them to live life safe, and well cared for.)Delivering comfort with joy in their daily lives is our top priority. I never feel or experience any places yet, that residents or patients voice is matters first far as a concerning their safety and personal care, etc.

University Place has created a wonderful independent living environment for my 92 year old Mother. The attention to detail from residential housekeeping, to the socialization of the dining hours, to the other benefits of transportation to medical appointments, voting machines on-site, pharmacy delivery, banking representatives having presence, physical therapy on site, all types of recreational activities, etc, etc. has extended my Mother's life by 10 years. My siblings and I rarely agree on everything but we all agree UP has given our Mom an excellent quality of life and given us a peace of mind we craved!! Thanks UP!

I was in rehab at University Place in December 2014. I was very impressed with the Staff, Facility and accommodations. They took excellent care of me and the rehab was amazingly professional.
