My Mom has a beautiful, spacious apartment. She loves the companionship of her neighbors. We love that she never has to cook if she doesn't feel like it. I'm so grateful for Pines Village!

My wife Joyce and I moved to the Pines Meridian Woods Campus a little over seven years ago. We can say with no reservation that this was a very good decision on our part. We have the privacy of living in our own home with no worries of having any maintenance expenses. The Pines handles all of that in a prompt manner. We enjoy living in an area with neighbors in our age bracket. We also have many planned activities by the Pines Organization to keep us occupied if we want to participate. We recommend any people in our age bracket to move here as you will enjoy your twilight years worry free.

My mom moved into Pines Village in October 2020, during COVID. They had all CDC recommended precautions in place and her transition to Independent living was seamless. Pines is a wonderful place for her to be and she absolutely loves her apartment and balcony! She's made new friends. The staff and services offered are wonderful.

Three years ago when I moved in, I didn't think of it as "home." Now we do. The people and the place !are wonderful. The residents are friendly and wonderful; the staff is friendly and helpful. It really is like a family and that makes it home. There is a quarter-mile walking path passing by beautifiul surrou blossoming gardens and bubbling pond filled with geese. The perfect place to sit and relax or meditate. Now and then, one can spot a deer in the woods behind the place Pines Village has a myriad of activities should one choose to participate. Through some of these activities I have rediscovered my creativity, something I never thought could happen. Also, I have developed an interest in art from viewing the Art Gallery on a regular basis. My scheduled is filled with people and things I like to do. Sometimes, however, I just want a day off to read (Pines Village has a small but very current library). When those moods come, I simply get a book and turn on the music. My desire for quietness is honored. We must say a word about the food. There may be an entre or a soup that we don't like on occasion, but overall the food is very good. Better, I hear, than in other retirement centers nearby. And I should mention the freedom I have from cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking. It is all done for me. Go back to my 3,000 sq. foot house? As much as I loved it, I will stay right here. Pines Village is my happy home. Make it yours!

There is no one perfect place, but Pines Village offers two campuses with active lifestyles for seniors. My husband and I moved to Meridian Woods 16 years ago to a home that perfectly suited the needs of aging adults. What attracted us was the maintenance free housing and a neighborhood of friendly people. I now remain in our house feeling safe and comfortable and having my needs met. It's not for everyone, but for those of us fortunate to live here, it's home.

This is a wonderful organization filled with people who really care about the residents. My parents lived in their community for over 10 years and they always felt valued. The staff was always caring, helpful, and responsive. The leadership takes a genuine interest in getting to know residents and ensuring their well being. I know the prior and current CEO's personally, and I have been involved in the senior care industry nationwide for 20+ years. This is an organization that is truly focused on creating a great quality of life for their residents. -Mike Mutka

One of the hard parts of life? People whom we really love age. The good part of life? There are places like Pines Village where they can go and live when they need a little extra love and care. This place is amazing. I volunteered there to put up some of the worst Christmas decorations this side of WalMart? And the residents there couldn't get over what a great job I did (and no, their vision was fine). The staff doesn't have to go out of its way to be great, because -- well, they are great. All you have to do is walk through the place, meet the people, and enjoy the warmth that you find around every corner. Finding a perfect place for an aging loved one is so hard. This is the one you're looking for.

This is a wonderful place to retire. The homes are comfortable, well built, and well maintained. The neighbors are friendly and enjoyable company at activities often held in the Campbell Street Cafe where one can find good food and good fellowship. You'll have plenty of time to experience those as most of the chores of maintaining a home are taken care of by the staff who even replace the batteries in your smoke detectors.

This is a very nice independent living facility. The description here says "assisted-living" and that is NOT what they have. It is a lovely place for seniors to live who are independent and require minimal care. Lot's of social activities, bus and car service and good food.

I toured a number of places while looking at options for a loved one. I was struck by the overall positivity of Pines Village. I spoke with (and was introduced to) staff at all levels, with respect between staff members and residents being clear. My observations have been of residents being treated with dignity, their life experiences valued, and their abilities encouraged. The grounds are peaceful and scenic, with a landscaped walking trail. The dining options are varied; the main facility (with a pond view) feeling much like a nice restaurant, a small cafe, and an outdoor patio with large tables for socializing and events. There is an exercise room with another nice view, many quiet areas for reading and games, and an art gallery with rotating exhibits. Trips to local attractions and grocery have been possible through their transportation services. The planned relocation of the city's senior center nearby is a bonus. I hoped for a situation that would allow for continuing an enriched way of living despite physical limitations, and Pines Village has allowed for this.

My Mom, who recently turned 90, is in independent living at Pines Village. It has been wonderful for her....provides social events . She plays cards usually 3 nights a week, bingo once a week and works out a few days a week in the exercise room. She also attends many of the planned events..ie...car show, musical events. They also have vesper services on Sunday evening. They have safety pulls in all rooms and residents are required to push a button twice a day or someone will check up on them. So that has allowed me to be free to do more myself without worrying about Mom. I felt they did as well as they could during the covid period. They closed outside entry at times except for caregivers. They did allow me to pick her up for medical appointments or come in masked to do a virtual medical appointment. They delivered meals and groceries, did laundry, etc... to keep residents in their apartments. The staff really worked hard to keep the residents safe. They provided robo calls for families about covid counts. Also, sent letters to family and updated their covid information on their website. For awhile now residents have been able to resume activities but have to wear masks in public areas. Visitors need to sign in, answer some questions, and wear masks. The Pines arrange an on site clinic annually for the flu shot and Jan/Feb 2021 for the covid vaccinations. The residents are around 98% covid vaccinated! I would definitely recommend the Pines for independent living.

My Mother has lived here for 10 years now and it was a saving grace. She enjoys the activities, the food and her apartment.

My grandparents lived at Pines Village and loved it. Everyone there was very caring and took time out to know the residents and their families. I am a registered nurse and can say that they got wonderful care while they lived there. The staff even took time out to attend my grandmothers memorial service and say a few words about her. It might not be the newest in town but beautiful and great care.
