My mom was at Rittenhouse/Aviva for almost 5 years . The staff was wonderful. Everyone - nurses, aides, housekeeping, social workers, maintenance, and front staff - always treated her with respect and kindness. We were there almost every day and saw compassion and respect given to the residents . Thank you for helping us care for our mother and through the difficult time of saying goodbye.

Great facility. The people are amazing. The facility is very clean. Cindy at the front desk is amazing, always there to help, staying patient through my numerous phone calls. She's a true professional. Tricia was there to help my Mom get acclimated which was a bit of a struggle at first. All the nurses and aides went above and beyond, as well. There was always fun activities to do for the residents. Very caring staff. Highly recommend this facility.

The staff, facilities, food, nursing, activities and janitorial services at Aviva are second to none. I researched a great many assisted living facilities for over a year before choosing Aviva for my 88 year old mother. She has been at Aviva for a year and a half now and loves living there. Before moving to Aviva she was sickly and underweight, ready to give up on life. Now Mom is happy and healthy. She looks and feels 20 years younger. She eats 3 balanced meals every day and participates in many of the scheduled activities. Mom has made a lot of friends, gets along with the staff and all the residents. We couldn’t be more pleased and are so grateful with all aspects of Aviva. I visit this place at least a couple times a month and I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know a number of the supervisors and directors here personally. In doing these visits I get to meet and talk to some of the residents too and they are very happy there. I highly recommend Aviva of Valparaiso.

After researching Memory Care & Assisted Living in the Valparaiso area, I toured several facilities. I attended a few seminars at AVIVA and met with Tricia Catlin, Marketing Director, on a couple of visits. I needed a 3 week stay for my wife while I was on a trip. We met with the nursing director who evaluated my wife for a stay in Assisted Living. I found the staff very caring, the facility was well maintained, and the food menus appeared good. My wife stayed there 3 weeks and was very pleased with the staff, her apartment, and the food. AVIVA is in a good location and provides optional activities for residents to participate in. Tricia Catlin, was excellent to work with and followed up on every inquiry I made. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of Assisted Living or Memory Care.

This is a bright cheerful facility with a cozy fireplace area for residents to gather. My mom loves playing bingo and any type of musical entertainment they have. Our family loves that we can come in and out without having to stand out in the freezing cold waiting for someone to let us in (this was at a previous facility). There is also a front desk person that is always on duty to greet you and help out if you have any questions.

The nurses and CNA's are phenomenal. They truly care about the patients and remarked many times that they loved my husband. The reason for only 3 stars is because of the Memory Care director, Liz. I won't go into a lot of detail because it's too long. Suffice it to say, if her lips are moving, she's speaking a lie. She's so good at it. You actually believe what she's saying.

While searching for my mil to find a place to live, I encountered many different kinds of Senior Living. While she needed full rehab, I determined that Aviva Senior Living would be a great place for me to work. Based on the staff I met, the atmosphere, and the residents. I always think the food is pretty crucial to seniors when considering a place where they depend on the cooking and I enjoy meals there several times a week. I love that we offer happy hours and activities, the apartments are beautiful and bright and spacious. There's a wide variety of entertainment and activities from live music, games, crafts, outings for shopping and or dining and all ages and abilities are considered. While many Senior living facilities can feel dark and sad, even my kids love to come with me to work and volunteer!

I have visited a friend of mine at Aviva a few times and was very impressed with the staff and the care that he gets. I was there on veterans Day and they made them a great lunch that was catered in. Honored them with a program, and just really made them feel special. I was there again this past weekend. Sat with him during breakfast and amazed at the quality of his food and how friendly he was treated like he was the grandfather of the staff there. Good job Aviva, thank you for caring for such a great friend.

Mom lives in the memory care wing. Liz Summers there worked with her when she was having anxiety issues. She got her calmed down and then continued over the next few days to make her feel she was where she belonged. I visited in January and she was in good spirits. She says she likes it there. None of the memory care residents tested positive for covid till omicron came along. But by then they were all vaccinated. I thought the staff did a great job taking precautions to keep everyone safe before the vaccines were available. Covid has been hard on staff there and they've had to go extra mile more than once. Hope it passes soon.

The staff is amazing and beyond friendly, they take the time to get to know all of the residents as well as the families. They do a lot of fun activities to keep the residents busy. The building is beautiful and well kept. You could not find a better place!!

My mom and her husband are in the memory care facility and the staff is always their to answer any of my questions. I live out of state and this gives me peace of mind that my mom is looked after as she can't be alone. Upon us looking at the facility and talking with Susan on staff their she was a blessing to me and guided us thru the process. I call weekly and my sister lives there locally and is always going in and checking on things and she is happy with the care they are receiving and again the staff on memory care side are always willing to answer any questions we have.

Peace of mind! I no longer need to worry about Dad when I am at work. His single apartment with bedroom, walk-in closet, large bath and kitchenette area for his coffee pot and microwave are perfect for his needs. Lovely dinning room for his 3 meals a day means he no longer has to cook for himself. Staff is great! He loves it and so do I!
