Our mom is at Traditions at Hunters Station Memory Care area and has been since 2/2026. The place is fantastic. The staff is great. The entertainment/interaction/games the staff has with the residents are fun and also a form of exercise. The meals are good and plentiful. She is very well cared for every day, and we are very happy that we were able to get her placed here.

This is my first time with a loved one in a memory care unit. I have been quite happy with the care my mother has received. As a nurse myself, l know that everyone looks good when things are going well but the most important thing is how you address an issue. That is what I've been most happy about, when something comes up, they address it with me!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this assisted living facility. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. The staff genuinely care about the residents and go above and beyond to ensure they are comfortable, safe, and treated with dignity and respect. This is a wonderful place where the staff treats the residents as family not just people. They are communicative and provide a lot of entertainment. They encourage participation and social engagement among the residents and their families. Negative times happens daily, however the staff attempts to provide positive vibes among the saddest and eventful moments.

Opting to move our grandparents from Louisville, KY to Sellersburg, IN at the age of 93 was not an easy decision, but it truly was the right one to have them closer to family. Kathy and her team made the entire process so much easier and put our minds at ease every step of the way. Traditions at Hunter Station is a beautiful community with a wide variety of activities that keep residents engaged and active. The patio homes are incredibly spacious and absolutely beautiful. One of the biggest highlights for our family has been the restaurant-style dining experience; a wonderful change from cafeteria-style dining where residents are required to carry trays. The dining room staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, especially Cam, who always goes above and beyond. We are so grateful for the care, environment, and peace of mind this community has provided our family.

While making the transition itself was difficult, I love having my grandparents close by. Traditions helped with that process immensely. The staff are amazing; they are always very helpful and sincere. They show genuine care and compassion for their residents and their loved ones. I love how clean and lively things are, every time we go to visit there is something new going on. I love that my grandparents now have a community to grow with as they age, that still allows them a great amount of flexibility and independence.

We are so very happy with Traditions. One of my favorite things is the staff knows EVERY SINGLE resident! Every time you pass a staff member in the hallway, they stop and speak with you. They take the time to help if you need it, or chat with you. My parents especially enjoy the staff in the dining hall. They joke around and laugh with the residents. Mealtime is a pleasure. They are attentive to the wishes of my parents and to the visitors as well. Traditions is safe, reliable, clean, beautiful, and helpful at this stage of my parents’ lives. We are so thankful for all the staff has done for our family.

The staff at Traditions at Hunter Station is amazing! The staff calls everyone by their first name, they are very friendly, helpful, kind, caring, etc. My mom has lived there over a month and loves it there. She has made so many new friends. The food is good. The staff takes them different places, has different activities for them to do and is very active with those who live at the facility. This location at Hunters Station is literally like being at home!!!! EVERY individual here treats us as family. We have given Traditions Hunter Station recommended to our Friends and other family members. Friends of us have already used this location for their family beginning this month. My Mother moved in in June, she adapted quickly with the full assistance of the staff at every level. Staff keeps residence engaged and Traditions provides constant activities to keep residents active and involved. It’s a community concept.

My mom has lived here for a full year now. It took a few visits to the facility to convince her that Traditions at Hunter station would better suit her than sitting at home in front of the tv all day. It took about a month for her to get used to living here, but as she made a few friends and joined in on the activities she was hooked. She has told friends, family, strangers and her doctor that this was the best decision to live here that she has ever made. The food is good and the Chef includes ideas from the residents for a bigger variety in the menu. Traditions has a large garden area, library, movie theater and several other areas to enjoy activities for the residents and families. Come and check it out, you will be glad you did! I almost forgot, but each apartment has their own little area that can be decorated. It’s fun to walk around and see how everyone has their space decorated.

My dad has been leaving at Traditions for over 3 years at the beginning it was rough and a struggle all around but now with Kathy as the Executive Director things have turned around for the better. The communication has improved so much. I feel more comfortable having dad leaving there now. Kathy is always available when I need something or just to talk about dad. Our mother has resided in assisted living at Traditions at Hunter Station since July 2021. My sister and I selected Traditions after visiting six other assisted living facilities in the area. Traditions was the clear choice. It was clean, spacious, modern and had a friendly staff. Since that time our mother has thrived in this caring environment. The quality of care combined with the many opportunities for her to get involved and develop friendships have been a key part of her continuing to be active. By the way she will be 98 years old this October. Since Kathy Jones became the Executive Director, she has made a very good assisted living facility even better. She along with her team have added to the quality and the enjoyment of those choosing Traditions at Hunter Station. In fact, mom now refers to Traditions as home.

Traditions is the best possible facility for a loved one with mild dementia progressing to severe. The director, nurses and general staff guided him through mental crises none of which were insignificant with compassion, empathy patience and technical skill. The director and nurse always knew the correct approach for making him feel safe and valued. When family care is no longer viable, I highly recommend Traditions. . A family can have complete peace of mind.

My Mother-in-Law moved in almost 2 weeks ago and they made the transition easy. The nurses are great, they are compassionate, patient and friendly. A special shout out to Wendy, Lexie, and Carrissa. They have been so helpful in answering all our questions and taking care of our loved one. You always feel welcome when you walk through the door from the receptionist and the residents. A special thank you to Kathy Jones and Anita Culver for going above and beyond to get us a room in a short period of time. I would highly recommend this facility.

We moved our bonus dad there about 1 month ago from another A.L. center in Jeffersonville. His apartment is a bit smaller and expensive than the other place, but everything else 100% better. The management team is competent and easy to work with. They are understanding and helpful. Cathy and Anita made the transition easy. Jordan, in the business office, has been easy to work with. The activities director, Lacosta, provides a full activities schedule, encourages residents to participate, and her cheerful personality is felt when you walk in the door. The food is good and available all day. Residents are not forced into a meal schedule. Therapy services are available in-house. We appreciate the care team, with special recognition of Charissa and Dee who work hard to meet the needs of each resident. So far, I highly recommend!

Traditons at Hunter Station is a beautiful modern building whose staff members from management to nursing and aides to kitchen and maintenance staff really strive to take care of their residents as top priority. There is always so many activities going on the keep their residents engaged and from what I hear the food is wonderful!

UPDATED REVIEW! The new director, Kathy, is doing a great job. Things are so much better! She has made herself available for any and all concerns. The communication has improved and I never feel ignored now. She took it upon herself to put my dad in memory care and he is in a better place. We can actually just go and visit now and I don’t feel like I have to clean up after him. Great job Kathy and team!! Jordan has been very helpful as well. Thanks to everyone there who is trying to turn that place into the best assisted living in the area!! Beautiful facility! We struggle with communication. The staff is very friendly but they do not call back when they promise they will. The executive director seems to be out quite often. I know AT LEAST one of the 5 STAR reviews is a staff member and that fact is not stated in the review. We really want things to work at this facility but at the moment, we're not sure. I'm losing faith in the ability of the management to care for my loved ones. I have 5 family members at Hunter Station.

Best decision I made 3 years ago was to move into the Traditions Senior Community . I live in one of the beautiful garden homes and have access to all activities and meals in the assisted living building . I’ve made so many great friends ! It is a great place to live !!!

From the very first visit, Anita and Kathy went above and beyond to ensure that we felt comfortable and well-informed. They took the time to listen to our concerns, answered every question with patience and compassion, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. It was clear that they genuinely cared about the well-being of the residents, and the peace of mind of their families. The personalized approach taken by each team person”whether it was the caregivers, nurses, or administrative staff”was remarkable. They have a deep respect for each resident's dignity and individual needs, creating an environment that feels warm, supportive, and, most importantly, like home. This sense of care was evident throughout the entire move-in process, where the staff helped with everything from paperwork to making sure our loved one felt welcomed and settled. Thanks to the incredible team at Traditions, what began as a daunting and difficult decision has turned into a relief. My mother has been in Memory Care at Traditions for 4 years. Our experience wasn't ideal; however, changes in management and staffing have resulted in a complete turnaround! Shout-outs to Nala and Carrissa! They have made such a difference!!!!

During our mom's time at Traditions, the staff has been very attentive and immediately responds to questions or concerns. When our mom had problems w/her TV, the maintenance staff helped right away and gave her a simpler remote to use. When there were telephone problems, the Director ensured the issue was resolved right away as she understood the importance of our mom being able to call her family. Other standouts are the dining room staff who always engages w/our mom & provides cheerful conversation. The nursing staff is wonderful too and provides caring conversation while administering our mom's meds. The ladies at the reception desk are always pleasant and helpful too. The housekeeping staff is great and spends time conversing w/our mom. We've been happy with the care our mom has received at Traditions.

My mother has been at Traditions for 3 1/2 years. The staff has treated her nothing short of family! They have so many fun activities to keep them involved and healthy. The cleaning staff and cooking staff both do an amazing job. The nursing staff is overwhelming with the level of care that they give. The administration certainly hires the right people . The environment is kept very clean. I would recommend it to anyone looking to place a loved one. After being at other facilities, I’m so glad we landed At Traditions Hunter Station!

This place is great. Mom and Dad moved to the assisted living in March. They are doing better than they have been in years. The staff is caring and attentive. The activities are wonderful and the meals are delicious. Mom and Dad are happy and so are we. We have peace of mind that they are being cared for and are able to maintain their independence!

If you are looking for a memory care place for your loved one be aware of what u see inside. Hunter Station is pretty from the outside. I was thinking when I put my husband there it would be a wonderful place for him. I was very disappointed in the care he received. They lose their things, and you tell them, and they don't find them. My husband's shoes were misplaced and to this day they never were found. They don't take them to their meals and say they do. I had a camera in his room I knew when he was in his room or not. They sent him for a behavioral test which he did ok on and though he was a sweet guy, but they would not let him return. he went to be JESUS 5 days later. This was my experience with them. You base your opinion on your own thought, and I wish you all the luck in the world for your loved one.

For a Memory Care Unit, Traditions is clean, the staff is attentive and there are a lot of activities the patients are encouraged to join. For the area, it's one of the nicer, more affordable MCU's in the area. We believe our relative was well taken care of during Covid when we were unable to visit. What left a bad taste was when all of his belongings were stolen, including a vintage class ring, we were told that the television and shower curtain were "attached to the wall" so they belonged to Traditions (note that when residents move in there are no televisions, so the staff steals them once the resident has passed away) and an entire unopened bottle of oxycodone disappeared. The nurses who run the MCU then become rude and belligerent and then just refuse refuse to answer the phone. The only regret we have is that we didn't report the theft of the Oxy to the police. Update: The reply from Natalie is a lie. At no point would anyone talk to or return phonecalls, we have a receipt of delivery for the Oxy, so it did exist, and she didn't address the thefts by the staff at all. Not changing the review.

I looked at several facilities before choosing a place for my grandmother and nothing came close to what Traditions offered. The staff is so nice and always available when I have questions or concerns. The facility itself is very clean and well maintained. They offer a variety of activities for the residents and their families to interact. I am so glad I found this place!! Grandma is very happy.

My mother in law and father in law were and are well cared for at Traditions. We are kept informed of concerns as well as needs. It’s great to know that your loved ones are in good hands on a daily basis which ultimately is less stress on the family. They have activities that are great it you choose to take advantage of them, special musical guests, transportation to social events, and family dinners on holidays! If you are considering a place for your loved one, I highly recommend Traditions at Hunter Station!

Everyone was so kind to my mother. They treated her like she was their mother. All employees were kind, helpful, caring, and friendly! The environment was clean and the food was good. I ate with my mom several times. I would highly recommend this assisted living community.

Traditions seems like a well kept and clean facility. I visited the facility once with my then 90 year old Grandmother who was searching for assisted living care. The personnel who greeted us were not friendly and the person who was in charge was pushy, so much so that she made an unannounced visit to my Grandmothers home to try to get her to sign a lease. My Grandmother has since passed away, age 92, and yet I still received a phone call from Hunter Station letting me know there was a place for her. I called HS suggesting that they go through their files and do some filtering based on age and perhaps research as well before making untentiont but upsetting phone calls. I realize it is important to fill beds and meet the bottom line but it is also important to show your patient and their families that they are more important.
