Sycamore Reserve is excellent all of the way around. It is owned and operated by a family and they treat their residents and guests like family. I doubt you can find somewhere with a more personal feel. There is a community feel to relationships here. Residents sit in the common areas to play games, talk, and even have a sing-along. It is remarkable compared to other places that I am familiar with. Rooms are comfortable. All areas are clean. The dining room food is delicious and has good variety. I highly recommend it for your senior family member.

I have lived here only since October 2022. Long enough to know what Alan tells you on the video is true. Very friendly residents, food is good, a real variety of apartments and friendly helpful staff. Having free transportation to appointments is a blessing. If you have a vehicle there is plenty of parking space. Laundry facilities are also included in your rent or you can have your own. Come visit us and you just might be my neighbor.

04/06/21 - This facility is home and yet you feel as if you are on vacation 52 weeks a year. The Owner is directly involved and is very concerned with our intellectual, emotional/spiritual and physical health. This is reflected through activities that stimulate our minds; a sacred space for meditating and personal quiet time; yoga and exercise programs; and, last but not least, exceptional and nutritious food selections. The entire staff is friendly and caring and will always go over and above to create a comfortable family atmosphere. I have never been happier. (Oh, the pool isn’t too shabby either.) I don’t know what else to say except: If you are active, like to have fun and are young at heart, look no further for retirement living. Sycamore should be your next home!

My mom has lived at Sycamore for over a year. She and my family have been very pleased with the accommodations and the staff has been wonderful. My mother is so proud living at Sycamore. She invites us over for meals whenever possible. I feel like the Sycamore staff has become family to her.

I provide rehab services at Sycamore Reserve and can attest to commitment to the residents here. When you pull up to this little gem in Castleton, its in a lovely park-like setting and once you walk through the front doors-WOW! Professionally decorated and while the finishes are high end, it also feels very warm and inviting. The staff are very active with the residents and there are constantly stimulating and age-appropriate activities at all hours of the day. You would want your parents to be in this place! The residents that I have interacted with speak very highly of the staff, food, other residents and generally have great pride in where they live.

Such a beautiful new Independent building, it has a heated pool!!! No other Independent Living building in the city has a pool. Leadership in the building is wonderful and attentive to residents needs. The food is absolutely amazing as well. A super gem on the North Side of Indy, close to the Mall and many local events.

Sycamore Reserve My name is Gary Chandler. I became a resident of Sycamore Reserve since February 1, 2021. I wanted to express my thoughts and feelings I have experienced since I became a resident at this beautiful community. To begin, I should share my life experience in the three months prior to my making Sycamore Reserve my home. My dear wife, Cindy and I had been married 40 years. We both had been experiencing serious health problems and had been in the hospital together for about two weeks. My wifes health took a turn for the worse and she died on November 3, 2020. My health took a turn for the better even though I was diagnosed with cancer and early stages of dementia. I was released from the hospital and returned home. Due to depression from my wifes death and a poor diet, I thought seriously about selling my home. My dear friend, Richard Mack, who has always had my best interest at heart, encouraged me, with nothing to gain for selling my home and moving to Sycamore Reserve. On February 1, 2021, I moved into Sycamore Reserve. I found, in a very short time that this was far more than a place to live but, a home. The staff has been truly genuine in the kindness and care they have shown to me as well as the other residents interest in my happiness. I have never found change to come easy in my life, but, this move that I made to Sycamore Reserve has been a positive one. I have had my spirit lifted and I once again found joy and happiness returning to my life. Let me give you some of the positives of this change. Sycamore Reserve is a brand new community which opened in January of 2020. Due to Covid -19 the community remained lockdown for much of 2020. Upon my arrival in February 2021, I came to a new apartment of 875 sq. ft. with a very large bedroom, living room, kitchen, den, a beautiful bath with a marble floor and a huge walk-in closet. There are only 25 residents at this time, many having experienced independent living in other communities . Everyone here says, Sycamore Reserve Senior Living is the very best! The staff makes sure that ever residents are expertly taken care and they experience their every need and desire. We have on staffed chefs who provide a wonderful menu selection. For example the lobster bisque soup is as good as any 5 star restaurant, I have ever experienced. The entire selection never has disappointed me. I can plan my day with a choice of many games, exercise, field trips, even planned excursions to international destinations or we may prefer the peace and quiet of being in your suite with a good book or by the heated salt water pool. If, you desire or in need of Independent Living, I recommend you visit Sycamore Reserve. I cannot speak highly enough of the amenities offered. When you visit, I would be happy to talk to you and give you the opportunity to see my apartment. Gary Chandler

Sycamore Reserve is an incredible facility for quality senior living. They make it possible to be engaged, healthy, happy, and energized and the staff seems to be 100% focused on providing a quality standard of living for those lucky enough to live there. Food is available, on order, from 7 in the morning to 7 at night, and that food is just wonderful. Floor plans from a small studio to a large 2-bedroom and living room. Truly there is something for everybody at Sycamore Reserve Senior Living! I cant remember being greeted and welcomed so graciously as when I visited them.

I had lunch at Sycamore this past Monday and was so impressed with the food I was served,. The beautiful lobby and dining area was filled with residents laughing and sharing friendship and fellowship. I sat down with strangers and was welcomed . What an engaging group of seniors enjoying living life to its fullest.

My mother-in-law moved to Sycamore in December. Shawn, Michelle, and the whole staff, from the chef, to the maintenance crew have exceeded expectations. Everyone at Sycamore is so kind, you get the feeling of being pampered! My mother-in-law broke her hip a few months ago and had surgery. My wife, Debbie, has reached out to staff many times in just a few short weeks to deal with PT, OT, Covid shots, etc. All have been so helpful and sincere in helping us through this period of rehab. The services and activities for the residents are awesome. We really feel welcome when we walk into Sycamore Reserve!

While Sycamore Reserve is a senior community, at age 55 and still employed, I qualify to live here. I am finding it a very good place to be. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The owners are here frequently to ensure we get the quality of accommodations we expect.

My Client moved into Sycamore Reserve a couple weeks ago.. Im so happy we found this hidden gem. The staff is very attentive and display genuine compassion for each member of this newly found family community setting, Its just a priceless experience every time I visit... I had the honor to dine in there beautiful dinning room. Im a Professional Chef so I was extremely excited to taste and critique the cuisine served this particular evening . I must say I was amazed at the service given to the residents and how the severs called the residents by name and explained the specials and was able to make recommendations The menu has a great variety to choose from although the icing on the cake was every bite of my meal was delicious .. I ate very slowly because it was just that Yummerish a word I use as a Chef meaning I score my meal 10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I look forward to being invited for Lunch or Dinner again. I highly recommend Sycamore Reserve Senior Living you will love it as much as I do... My Client has settled in with anticipation everyday to mingle and enjoy activities and socials on the premises.. Im so thankful for this amazing concept.. Treat yourself and stop in!!!!!

Living at Sycamore Reserve is one of the BEST decisions my wife and I have ever made. The minute you walk in the front door you can feel the warm welcome. The suites are just what we needed, food is delicious and many activities daily for you to enjoy and socialize with others living in our community is more like extended family. I have given a copy of a letter from my wifes IU Health Geriatrician to the Sycamore Reserve Office. That letter attests to the improvements in our quality of life since we moved here in June of 2020. Our Geriatrician states The change in Mrs McNamara was apparent within 5 minutes of talking to her. She is well cared for, happy, empowered and social. I am very pleased with how well both are doing and am thrilled with their progress. If you are currently looking for a superior independent living residence that is enhanced with amenities, including great meals, housekeeping, laundry and transportation stop in and have a look around. I stopped in to tour the Senior Resort and was so impressed with the feeling of warmth and friendliness. It is a beautiful place inside and outside. I felt so at home there I spent the afternoon playing cards with some of the residents.

As a favor to a friend, my husband and I recently took tours of a few senior living facilities in the Northern Indianapolis area. One place we stopped was Sycamore. Hands down, this place is the most beautifully furnished, with apartments having a warm, cozy feel. The staff is simply lovely individuals. As we watched them interact with the residents, I could feel the caring attitude they have towards them. After speaking to a few of the residents myself, I understand the food is phenomenal!

It seems like Sycamore Reserve was made just for us. I feel like I should thank my daughter every day for suggesting we might be happy here! We are! A Follow Up: Its Tuesday at Sycamore Reserve Senior Community. Its a beautiful day in a very nice place. Our home can be considered a Resort Lifestyle. For Barbara McNamara and me it is more a Retreat Lifestyle. We have time to read, write, and reflect. There are several retired ministers living here, a retired Firefighter Chaplain, two fine pianists. There are others with a wealth of life experience, including success in professions and business. We enjoy conversations with people who have lived exceptional lives. We have exercise classes, a heated salt-water pool, Chair Yoga, healthy food, a weekly Bible Study, and on-site Sunday Worship Services. We also enjoy Happy Hour on Friday, we just had a 500 Race Party and are planning a KY Derby Party. There are times and places for discussion and reflection. Living here helps us with the organization and integration of our lifetimes of experience and learning. So is Sycamore Reserve a Resort or Retreat? The bottom line: The management and staff here provide us with great choices each day to live the life that works for us that day. We love having choices.
