We toured the community and were treated with compassion, understanding, and the utmost respect. The residents were wonderfully taken care and the staff were very kind and generous with smiles. We’ve had a great experience with StoryPoint Fort Wayne West. The community has gone through many recent upgrades and improvements, and it really shows in the overall atmosphere and care being put into the property. The maintenance team, especially the maintenance director, deserves a lot of recognition for the hard work, responsiveness, and pride they take in keeping everything running smoothly and looking great. It’s clear they truly care about the residents and the community as a whole. First time visiting StoryPoint and had a great experience. The community is clean, well-maintained, and has a very welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about the residents, which makes a big difference. The activities and amenities offered are well thought out and provide plenty of opportunities for residents to stay engaged and social. Overall, it’s clear that a lot of effort goes into creating a comfortable and supportive environment. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a senior living community in the Fort Wayne area.

Tracy gave me the tour, and she was outstanding ” kind, informative, and truly passionate about the care they provide. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel completely at ease. They also have a wonderful memory care program that is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of each resident. It’s clear the staff are highly trained, compassionate, and dedicated to helping residents with memory challenges feel safe, respected, and engaged. I really love StoryPoint Fort Wayne West. I am so glad we chose this community for my dad. The staff has been nothing short of sweet ,kind and very caring. I am forever grateful for their knowledgeable and kind staff. They have this thing called 1440 and they really do care for their residents in that manner. Our mother has been a resident in memory care for two years. Our number one goal was for her to be safe and taken care of. She is that, here at Story Point. If there is/has been any bumps in the road or concerns, the staff has always listened and have done the best they could to resolve them. No where is perfect but we believe we found the perfect place for our mother to receive all the needs we believe she deserves. She is happy and comfortable. That says it all.

The Memory Care Neighborhood is exceptional. I encourage you to look past the age of the community and really take in your surroundings. Do the residents look well cared for? Yes. There is things within their environment they are interacting with and the care team is engaging, too! Is the environment clean? Yes! There is actually a designated housekeeper specifically for Memory Care that engaged the residents in the cleaning process”how amazing! Do the caregivers seem friendly? YES. They are such a wonderful group of people that really support the mission of safety, dignity and care. I would definitely recommend StoryPoint Fort Wayne West.

PLEASE DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE BEFORE YOU COMMIT... My mom lived at The Hearth and during her stay there we experienced MANY issues. In the span of a few months they lost their Director of Nursing, their bookkeeper, several nurses, the cafeteria manager AND their Executive Director! Those who were left were good and tried hard but they were understaffed for a long time and communication was not ideal. Just be sure to check on all aspects before you make the decision.

My Dad has lived at the Hearth two and a half years. The Hearth has gone through several directors in that time. Now they have Tyler and things are improving under his direction and the return of nurse Amy. Tyler keeps the familys informed as to changes that are happening and has an open door policy. My Dad said Tyler and other staff members were serving breakfast on Monday morning when others were not able to get in following our 12" of snow. It was reported that he did a great job! My father has been at The Hearth for two plus years. There have been several staffing changes which seem to be working out well. My father said the food has improved greatly with the new dietitian. The new head nurse Amy has gotten back with me to answer health questions about my Dad. Yes there are new faces, but there are many staff members that were there when Dad moved in and are still there doing an excellent job keeping the residents Covid free. Change is never easy when our love ones must leave their homes, but I do believe The Hearth does a good job making the residents comfortable in their new homes. Thank you for protecting my Dad during this trying time with Covid. I'm looking forward to better times when I can visit with him in his apartment.
