Our family entrusted Saint Anne’s with the care of my 92‑year‑old father following a brief rehabilitation stay, and the experience was deeply disappointing. Despite clearly communicating upon admission that he should not receive tramadol due to a known history of confusion, he was administered the medication. When he subsequently became disoriented, he was deemed “not appropriate” for the assisted living unit and was transferred to the locked memory care unit. This decision was not only avoidable but profoundly distressing for him, particularly because his 102‑year‑old sister resided in the regular assisted living area, where he was no longer permitted to visit her. Throughout his stay, basic resident‑centered practices were lacking. Staff repeatedly insisted he shower at 6:30 a.m. rather than the requested 8:00 a.m. for their convenience. When he was unable to sleep at night, he was told to return to his room rather than being offered support or reassurance. Communication among staff, residents, and families was consistently poor, and critical admission information provided by our family was never conveyed to those responsible for his care. The overall environment felt rigid, unapproachable, and inattentive to individual needs. As a former Director of Nursing with ten years of leadership experience in a high‑quality facility, I am profoundly disappointed that Saint Anne’s continues to operate with such disregard for best practices and resident dignity. My father has since moved to another community—outside of memory care—and frequently expresses how relieved he is to no longer be at Saint Anne’s.

My mother is an Alzheimer's patient she was there for 6 years but my family moved her to Indianapolis she was taken better care with you then where she is now I highly recommend this place the staff was great and my mom was happy there to I miss this place. I. Wish she was still with you and the staff

I came to the facility as a vendor. I was greeted by the staff and assisted with the screening process. Very easy and the receptionist was super helpful. The building was very clean and clutter free. The residents appeared well kept and clean. I observed several staff members interacting with the residents. I was there in a hospice capacity. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Good visit from top to bottom.

Staff is unfailingly helpful and kind as well as efficient and professional. Facility is very clean: nice restrooms are much appreciated. In many, many years of visiting my mother and then my sister, I have never been offended by any situation. The Chapel had a very nice update in the past decade or so. The rest of the facility is well-kept, (if a bit unimaginative.) Most important though, my sister is 100% in the Courtyard apartments, and really considers SAH to be her cherished home and family, and daily Mass is her joy.

Visited my uncle and the entire staff was wonderful. Took him to the coffee bar and he lobbed the coffee and brownie and sandwich! Nice experience. There was an incredibly nice sweet nurse or orderly on the 3ed floor who stopped while my uncle and I were looking at some of the old pics of fort wayne buildings. She stopped to join us, and that was really nice. I regret I didnt ask her name but will next time. She was very sweet and had just a really fun look about her! Also, I visit regularly, as does my other uncle and Mom. We have never had a bad experience and my uncle who is there consistently says this is a nice place. Someone in my family is there at least once per week and always nice.

The best place for your loved one. The staff are wonderful, caring, respectful and loving. Having my mother there is comforting and gives her and us peace. Cannot say enough about Saint Anne's.

My mother spent her final weeks at St Anne's. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. They were quick to respond when my Mom needed anything. They were very gentle when moving her and always told her what they were going to do before they did it. They checked on her like clockwork. They also checked on us to see if we needed any support. They even brought a snack cart into the room as we were there everyday all day. It gave us great comfort to know she was in the best place with the best care. When we left at night to go home, we knew she was in good hands. They made her very comfortable in her final days and that gave us great peace and comfort.

An absolutely wonderful place. They actually put the patients first and make sure everything is neat and organized. The patients are happy and there are so many things they can do. On nice days they can go outside to one of the many courtyards that they have. They put pictures of patients on the wall, and there are always decorations up so there is plenty to look at. I recommend this place to everybody. This is so much better than any other place. You will not be disappointed, I promise.
