My Dad has lived there for a year and a half. He moved there after a hip fracture. The staff was wonderful after his surgery. He was in a wheelchair and needed help with everything including toileting, dressing and transporting to meals and activities. He has recovered now and lives there without any special services. He has returned to a level of basic independence, and they are a wonderful safety net. I love that he has a social group, yummy food and activites. He has a personal relationship with almost all of the staff members. They all really step-up when needed. Korina at the front desk and Rochelle head of housekeeping make him feel extra special. He goes to them for any issue he is having. With his dementia, they help him sort things out. We even value their in-house therapy team so much that he has continued to pay out-of-pocket for services after his insurance ran out.The only negative is the building is older, and with that comes a few outdated amenities. But they still get 5 stars because they have the caring staff to take wonderful care of what my Dad needs.

I am so impressed with the available communication with the staff and to find a place that FINALLY can give medications on time. My mom has Parkinson's and as her needs changed they were able to provide everything she needed. It's so hard to have to send a loved one into a facility when you can't provide the care they need. I feel much better knowing she is being properly cared for and given the attention she deserves. I highly recommend Independence Village for piece of mind and the best care for your loved one.

Everyone is so friendly and they go above and beyond for the residents and their families. It feels like home to anyone and everyone when you walk in. They definitely make it a priority to personally know every resident and their families.

This is an amazing place to work. The staff is amazing and supportive. The work environment is up beat and outgoing. Everyone in the building cares about the residents as if they were there own family. I am very excited to continue working here.

This is definitely a 5 star facility. The staff was beyond kind and giving to my mother. When u walk in the door, U know u have found someplace special. There is no unpleasant smell, no indication u r in a health facility. More like u r in an upscale hotel. We found this to b a very clean place with really good food...But most importantly, we found the staff to really care about my Mother's needs. They went way beyond their duties to c she had what she needed. I would highly recommend this facility to all my friends. With Mothers, that need more care .

So impressed with this community! It is beautiful and reminiscent of a cozy home, but the staff are what really make it feel like a family. Immediate feeling of being welcomed when you walk through the doors. The Executive Director is very involved with, and available to residents and families, and I really enjoyed seeing how actively engaged she is with each one and the time she spends with them. Can’t say enough about the staff at this community! Truly a great place to call home.

My mom loves the social aspect and the food. They have many activities scheduled daily and their chef is outstanding. My mom enjoys the restaurant style dining and says the dining staff are always friendly and patient. The only area they are struggling in right now is consistent nursing and caregiving help. But, it's an industry wide problem. Staff is very responsive, friendly and helpful. Good lines of communication and respond promptly to concerns.

Looks like theyve cleaned house on the inept ED. As long as they can get a new ED in there that cares and can manage to jump through the politics of the company it can actually grow. CSL isnt the company it used to be and that isnt a good thing. They have about the best DON possible so thats most of the battle. Too bad and ED whos done their research wouldnt take this job if it were the last job on earth.

I love this place. I have been looking for an assisted living for my father and fell in love with this place. It is clean and bright. I was their once for a celebration (I believe it was during the holidays), and we (including my father and 5 yr old son) had a blast. Their was music and residents were dancing, singing. They even provided food. I love this place.Also staff amazing, including May Eheresman-the Director I think. they were all kind, helpful and answered all my questions. i Love this Place!

I recently returned work at the Hearth after a 4 years absence to find many of the same staff still here and it was beautifully remodeled. What a wonderful surprise. The consistent staff helps assure quality care. I would place my family here and believe in the staff and the company. The best way to check out this community is to come in and visit the dining room during a meal and ask the residents how they like living at the Hearth. A review is can be helpful but the actual view of the current residents is the best picture of the quality of life at the Hearth!

I have worked at The Hearth at Windermere for 14 years now, Im always delighted to create and fulfill menu items for the residents from my kitchen. One of the things in my life that brings me joy is to come to work and cook for these residents all these years.

My mom was struggling with her health so with some coaxing I help her moved into the Hearth Senior Living about 2 years ago after my father passed. We live close by and have heard many good things about the Hearth. She resisted at first, however after a few days there she thanked me for helping her. She was very active in the community. I miss my mom very much now. I know she enjoyed her last years at the Hearth with new friends. After her passing I still go to the Hearth to volunteer every so often.

I made the difficult decision of placing my Mom when she needed more care than I could provide. The staff worked with me and Mom and it has been a great experience. Many staff have worked there for many years. Mom loves it and wishes she had done it sooner.
