Staff is very skilled, professional, friendly, and attentive to the needs of both residents and family members. The personal attention given the residents is superb. The campus is exceptionally clean and well furnished, as are the resident quarters. Outdoor spaces are great for residents and family to visit. A strong effort is put forth to provide not just care, but quality of life for the residents. Activities, outings, and in-house entertainment are the norm, not the exception. Both of my parents are currently residing at West River, and this location was, and remains, our first choice for them.

My dad stayed at west river after having two massive stomach surgeries and was in the hospital for months, he did physical therapy and got back on his feet again thanks to the staff at west river ! They helped me so much get things accomplished and get him on the right track because to living a normal life again !! I cannot recommend them enough !

The West River Health Campus Memory Care unit is a very good facility, attractive and clean, and the unit is well managed by Megan Caswell. Megan has an excellent staff of competent people who are dedicated to caring for their residents. They do a good job of helping their residents through some difficult times.

West River Health Campus “ Evansville, Indiana Choosing a long-term care facility for a loved one is one of the hardest decisions you may ever have to make. As an only child, I never imagined having to make this decision for my mother, but after she spent 17 nights as an inpatient in the hospital, it was evident that it was time, I needed to find a permanent place where she could be transferred and truly cared for. My very supportive husband and I visited 17 facilities in just four days, and from the moment we walked into a Trilogy facility, including West River Health Campus, we could feel the difference. There is something special about their homes”you sense it immediately. My mother was transferred to Memory Care Assisted Living at West River in a private room, and from day one my heart has been overflowing with blessings upon blessings. The staff at West River are phenomenal, loving, and genuinely invested in the residents. Megan Caswell, Director of Legacy’s Memory Care Assisted Living unit, is truly an angel in disguise. She went above and beyond in every way imaginable”professionally and personally. She was incredible with my mom and just as compassionate and supportive with me during a very emotional time. Every staff member we’ve encountered”from leadership, to Jenna, Betsy and the other Daily Rhythms activity leaders, to laundry, housekeeping, dietary, and medical staff”has been outstanding. They are warm, personable, attentive, and truly care about the residents as individuals. The food deserves special recognition as well”the cook is phenomenal!! I could NEVER get my mom to eat anything green for me, yet she ate her green beans on her very first day there! I’ve even seen her eat asparagus! The best part? Not once has my mom ever asked to leave with me when I visit. She appears content, happy, and at peace. She is always out in the commons area when I come to visit“not isolated in her room. That alone speaks volumes. One of my favorite features of West River is the two beautiful outdoor courtyard areas”one with rocking chairs and another with a lovely bench swing and seating”perfect for spending quality time together in a peaceful, secure setting. West River’s Memory Care program is thoughtfully designed and truly centered around dignity, love, and engagement. From private personalized suites, 24-hour assistance, Daily Rhythms programming, their Best Friends Approach, fulfilling activities, and safe, secure courtyards”it is clear they treat residents as they would their own loved ones. I could go on and on, but there truly are not enough words to describe how wonderful this facility and staff are. The most important thing to me was finding a place where my mom would feel loved, safe, secure, happy, and no longer lonely”and West River has exceeded every expectation. My grandmother has lived here for over a year now. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. When you have a problem they fix it to the best of their ability. The foods great and the matience team is prompt with anything that's has broken. 10/10 would send grandma here again.

It's been a couple of weeks since my Mom passed and I want to repay the kindness of the Staff at West River. I consider myself a darn good writer, I was an English/Marketing Major at Indiana State University. I even tested out of 1st year English, as I could recite the Alphabet without Cue Cards. Yet I know that my words cannot truly express my appreciation for the level of care my Mom received while she was a resident at West River. Your warm smiles and patient interactions with my Mom and other residents in your facility are not forgotten. I want you to know that you are remarkable people. As a resident of West River for over 6 years, I have been able to experience first hand the kindness and patience of the staff here. From the nurses and aides to the therapy team, everyone works hard to make sure we are safe and well cared for. The facility is inviting, clean, and well maintained. I have been deemed the head of the Welcoming Committee’. This allows me to make sure each new resident feels accepted and comfortable. I am truly grateful for the quality care and compassion I’ve received and would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for nursing care for their loved one.

It is never easy when the time comes to move your loved one(s) into a nursing home. No one can ever care for them like you can. No one can ever love them like you love them. But when you come across a place like West River, those fears and worries start to fade away. My Papaw was a resident of the Legacy Unit at West River for close to three years. And in those three years, never did we feel like he wasn’t being taken care of, never did we feel like he was alone, never did we feel like he wasn’t a priority and the list could go on. The staff in the Legacy Unit from day one, went above and beyond for my Papaw like they do for every single resident there. They genuinely loved and cared for him! They became his family when we couldn’t be there everyday like we would have liked. They gave my Papaw a loving home which gave us all the comfort in the world knowing he was so well taken care of. It will be challenging to find a better nursing home than West River when you begin the search for your loved one. I wouldn’t write these words if I didn’t truly believe them. Thank you will never be enough for the love, care, kindness, compassion and patience they showed my Papaw every single day he was there. And to add, they showed that to us every time we were in there visiting! Thank you to every single person whoever crossed paths with my Papaw and made him feel seen and so very loved during his time at West River.

I have been a resident of West River Health Campus Legacy unit(memory care) for 8 months. Although moving to legacy was quite an adjustment, I have found it to be a most helpful, loving, and caring home. The staff treat you with courtesy, sincere interest in your problems and make you feel One of the Family. Activities include exercise, art, cooking, book readings and reviews, word games, paddle pong, and pool ball soccer. The food is healthy, colorful and plentiful. Megan the Director plans interesting Friday bus tours and eat outs. We have own private courtyard with flowers,plants, and vegetables. A great place to call home!!

Was at West River in April 2025 for physical therapy for a leg injury. My one and only goal was to get back home and to my normal daily routine as fast as possible. The therapists that worked with me at West River made that their goal for me as well. They worked me hard daily and I was able to meet my goal in less than 2 weeks. From the nurses to the housekeepers to the dietary department I have nothing but positive things to say. I would highly recommend West River to anyone needing inpatient therapy. I would also highly recommend their cheeseburgers to anyone as well”

Great workers in the Memory Care Unit! My mother-in-law thinks she’s at home. All the staff is so sweet with her! We had moved her to another facility and she did not like it there, nor did we. So glad we were able to move her back to West River!

My grandmother just recently stayed here and absolutely loved it. The staff was very compassionate, knowledgeable, friendly and took care of all of her needs in a timely manner. The physical therapy team did an amazing job getting her rehabilitated and on her way to a speedy recovery. Her case manager made sure she was sent home with everything she needed to be successful and safe after rehabilitation.

"I have been to West River Health Campus twice now, and West River will always be my go-to for all my rehab needs. Their comradery, professionalism and friendliness are unmatched. The extracurricular activities are so entertaining. The food is so good that my wife would eat all her meals here with me too. The therapy most of all is phenomenal. Other places will sit you on a piece of exercise equipment and walk away. The therapy team at West River is personable. They make your time in the gym a 1:1 session. The therapists know their stuff! Nothing compares to West River, and I continue to come back for outpatient therapy twice a week. Anyone that asks, I will always tell them that West River is the only place to go. "

I was able to attend an Open House event at West River. The staff was friendly as I entered, and guided me to meet my tour guide Reily. She was very easy to talk to along with Alyssa, whom I have met with as well. They have a lot of opportunities for those who may need their facility, but also work well with other facilities if they are better suited for your needs. They take the time to listen to what your needs may be.

My family had an excellent experience at West River Health Campus. We visited my mother daily, and when we left each day, we knew she was is good hands. The nurses and staff are very well-trained and they genuinely care about the residents and their families. An unexpected health crisis led to my need for OT/PT .Through Alyssa Bredemeier,West River was recommended and rehab was established.Kendal and Staff (Alexis,Sarah and Susan) efforts were very bullishly professional , pleasant and effective. My mother needed therapy after a hospital stay. Our family had heard good reviews about the West River facility. Mother’s stay at West River was about 20 days. There, she received the care and therapy needed to regain her strength to be able to return home. Mother is now home and is stronger than she has been in a very long time. Thank you to everyone at West River for the love and care given to my mother during her stay. Every department was willing to assist her no matter the situation. I highly recommend the West River Health Campus facility.

One of the nicest facilities in our area. Beautiful and not the typical nursing home feel. Staff is friendly and there is always plenty of activities going on, including outings for the residents. They gave great care to my grandma and were always supportive and communicative with my family.

When I arrived there I couldn’t even walk or sit up after very serious back surgery. With their kindness, patience and encouragement I am home and doing so much better, stronger every day. The Nurses, CNA’s and of course the PT and OT people were wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable and food was great. I recommend highly if you need rehab it’s the place to go. Thank you all at West River!!
