The Director of Assisted Living, Angela, has been fantastic. She has been a genuine partner in the care of my mother in law who is not an easy case. Can’t say enough positive about the assistance, support and encouragement she has provided.
June 2026
Wellbrooke of Carmel has been a real blessing for my family in their care for my mother. The Wellbrooke staff members are excellent. They are responsive and caring. No question I have asked has gone unanswered and each inquiry has been answered quickly! I would single out specific individuals for special comment but every single person I have dealt with at Welllbrooke of Carmel has been professional, positive and kind. There seems to be a relaxed collegiality among the staff and a calm sense of well-being from the residents. The facility is bright, positive and always active in a purposeful way. Our previous and often negative experiences with another facility has given me a deep sense of appreciation for Wellbrooke of Carmel. I am confident my mother is being well-cared for ©

The Director of AL, Angela, she’s #1 in our book! Whether my folks ask her questions or us family members, she truly hears and listens. And always is smiling! My mom calls her Angel and whenever Angel asks her something, mom will listen and do! Angela is truly special and amazing! I have watched her with other residents and family members, and she's the same with each of us no matter what, which means she REALLY DOES listen to ALL of us! Kind of blows my mind how perfectly suited for that job she is. Good job, Wellbrooke! We sincerely appreciate all she does for residents AND us family members!!!

The nursing staff were great too. Shout out to Yvette for her kindness!I am thankful for my time there.

This campus is truly amazing. The entire staff work tirelessly to ensure residents and families have the best experience possible. Just like anywhere else, they’re not perfect but if you let the leadership team know, they will do everything they can to find a solution. Customer service is one of their main core values and starts with the executive director, Kylie, setting a great example for her team. I would absolutely recommend this campus to anyone!

Mom moved in to Wellbrooke Carmel, Legacy Lane (Memory Care / AL), end of August 2025. Mom had been living on her own just two months prior but was now entering stage 7 of dementia. The Wellbrooke team was very supportive, and kind. It was an overwhelming time as her needs continued to change quickly. Wellbrooke came alongside to answer our hundred plus questions without being pushy or reverting to trite sales pitches. Once Mom moved in, it took her only a week or two to become acclimated and comfortable in her new surroundings. We saw her Legacy caregivers consistently treat her with patience and kindness, and witnessed the proactive attention to her needs. The team quickly gained our confidence. When Mom sees her caregivers, she smiles real big at them (sometimes seems happier to see them than me “ which is a beautiful thing). We sit down as a group and go thru her care plan, talk thru revisions, address any concerns with the ultimate goal being to maximize her comfort and care. We are thankful for Mom’s home at Legacy Lane and the care and love they daily demonstrate.

My father entered Wellbrook after a hospitalization with the hope for rehab and return to independent living. However as it became appear this was not realistic, the staff at Wellbrook helped us transition to assisted living. We transitioned again to hospice with Paradigm a month later. They and all at the faculty made the end of life safe, comfortable and loving for my dad. We are forever grateful!

Cannot say enough good things about the dietary department here. They are unseen heroes. Willing and eager to listen to and address concerns, and then make it a point to follow up! The entire team is very professional and courteous!

Post surgery I was transferred to Wellbrook Carmel with an in-house stay June 3-15 2024. I was happy to have been in the care of Wellbrook. I had great care by skilled and friendly staff. Loved Christine Katie and Lisa for their friendly conversations and fun entertainment. It was special to choose the menu for my meals. Rehab outpatient was wonderful June 15 to 27 November 2024. Thank you Nathan and Kammeron and Dennie for your professional care and attention. Nathan you always concentrated on what I needed to heal. The surgeon was happily surprised with how far I had progressed with walking in just 5 months. I am so happy to be walking now. Yes, I am still on the bike at the gym to warm up for 10 minutes. I still miss you all. Patti Wright

I don't feel the nurses give the best care or attention to residents in need. Have to call numerous times to get care for our mom and still nothing!! Very disappointed, especially for the BIG bucks she pays!!

Kind friendly caring place to be. This includes staff on all levels. The atmosphere is very inviting and changes every week in the main area it is quite festive and cheerful.. February 2025
My 90 year old dad needed Wellbrooke for rehab. He was there for 2 or 3 weeks. First of all the environment is nice and not depressing like many places. The lobby area is so comfortable and pleasant . Staff was attentive and so nice. The smell of the facility was so much better than other places where I have had family members. I am grateful to all the staff as they were great to dad and helpful to me and my sister.
February 2025
We had my gramma at multiple places over her last few years of life, and Wellbrooke was by far our favorite. They treated her so well, the rooms were updated and beautiful, and the staff is kind and friendly. I also loved the amenities for families as well. We had the game room to play dominoes in, free Diet Coke on tap, snacks when we wanted them, and they did fun activities for my gramma all the time. She loved bingo!!! Highly recommend Wellbrooke to anyone!!!
January 2025
The staff at Wellbrooke of Carmel are very attentive and willing to help with any question or concern. Katie, Kaylee, and Julie are beacons of light that brighten up your day. They are so easy to work with and very helpful. When I walked into the building, it smelled like fresh baked cookies and many of the residents were playing games or sitting and talking with each other. Very home-like environment! Beautiful place!

Yvette noticed I did not have my glasses on. I was sitting at a table waiting for my lunch. I told her that I forgot them and they were probably in the bathroom. She volunteered to go get them for me. minutes she had them back to me. I didn’t ask her to, it was such a kind thing for her to help me. this is just one example of people helping me. Thank you, Yvette.’–
December 2024
I entrusted my beloved family member's care with Wellbrooke and I am glad I did. They were kind, compassionate and most importantly, provided excellent care to my family member. The facility is clean. The staff is kind, cheerful and cares about a good resident experience. The food is good. In particular, I appreciated the professionalism of the front desk and office staff; and also, the quality of care that the nurses and aides in the Keystone unit provided. Nurse Patricia is an angel among us who provided my loved one with exceptional care and compassion to us when we needed it most. She is an exemplary nurse and person. Thank you, Wellbrooke, for making a difficult time less stressful and caring for our family member.
November 2024
Oh my goodness, this facility is great. Our relative was there and was so very pleased with how well they were taken care of. Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
November 2024
We had a relative in this nursing home and she was so well taken care of. The Administration was very receptive and made sure all of the residents were happy and well taken care of. We thank them so much for their genuine kindness and care of families.

My 84 yr old mother was admitted a week ago for rehab for her broken hip after a fall. While she was in the hospital she contracted a severe UTI that could only be treated through an IV. Wellbrooke was given explicit instructions to NOT remove the IV by the hospital, my dad and myself. The very night she was admitted into the rehab, they removed the IV and gave her a shot of antibiotic. No doctor approved this. So, they had to hire an IV specialist to come in the next day and re-insert an IV. I then noticed when mom was checked in that her bed lacked any bed railings. There are no safety measures in place for fall risk patients. In fact, the director, repeatedly told me when I asked could we have bed railings installed, "your mother has the right to fall." She repeated this mantra 5 times like a senseless robot. She literally had no ability to speak common sense or reasoning. I then asked how frequent do the staff check-in on their rehab patients. She replied, 'frequently'. So I said, define frequent. Every two hours. Maybe in bizzaro world this would be considered frequent. Six days later my mom fell in the bathroom. No one there to help her. It was the one morning I couldn't get to the rehab until 9:30a. It took this place 6 hours to do xrays on my mother's hips and knees and get the results the next day. A new patient came in next to my mother's room. That woman sat in her wheelchair for hours with a tray of cold food in front of her yelling for help. She wanted to go to bed; it was bedtime after all. I went in to check on this poor woman several times and help with things for her but I couldn't get her out of her chair for legality reasons. I finally pulled the 'rip' cord in the bathroom that turns on a light but still no one came for quite some time. I felt horrible for her. After mom's UTI was cleared and we received the xrays of no re fractures, we contacted my mother's doctor told him what we were encountering at this place and he agreed that mom would do better with in-home therapy. We notified one of the directors that we were going to discharge mom. They waited till after 3p. (so they bill another day I'm sure) to give us the paperwork and then let us know that we were discharging her too soon against their doctor's recommendation. What doctor? We never saw a doctor one time my mother was there. Nurses, PT and PA yes but never doctors. Plus, my mother fell under their care! She was super snarky with me and when I said, 'look our doctor told us that in-home therapy was best for mom.' She quipped back, "I'm not arguing with you." What the? She just had threatened me for taking my mom out of this place and I merely responded. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Now this being said, the actual nursing staff, kitchen staff, front desk, and other helpers were friendly/kind to mom. There was one CNA who was quite rude, snarky, and always looked angry and annoyed if ever she was asked for help. This place will always let patients fall, check patients every two hours if you're lucky or follow the hospital instructions.Such negligence on this facility's part. They never even gave us an incident report for taking my mom's IV out (couldn't seem to figure out what staff person did this.yeah right) or her fall in the bathroom.I found out my mother fell from MY mom. BTW, the week my mother was there, no one cleaned the bathroom at all. No one even swept the floor where mom's bed was. They took the trash out every day and several times a day but no cleaning in the room at all. The bathroom was so gross. If you have no other options, then I would urge you not to leave your loved one alone. Now, they have the most uncomfortable chairs in their rooms. I believe they do this because they don't want family members hanging in their loved one's room, so they can do whatever they want or whenever they want. So bring your own comforts from home. But, do not leave your loved alone in this place if at possible.

I really love how Management loves on their staff. Go Wellbrooke Carmel's finest

We moved our mom to the memory care floor at Wellbrooke a month and a half ago, after Robin Run unexpectedly closed their Assisted Living Memory Care floor with less than 30 days notice to families, and I can’t say enough how wonderful the staff have been to our mom and us. Shanika is amazing - sending extra photos and updates and taking my mom under her wing as a new resident in memory care. Lisa is amazing - suggesting specific things to make my mom more comfortable like bringing in a purse since mom looks for her lost purse. Paula is amazing- making sure to let me know as soon as mom was running low on supplies and suggesting a low cost option that works well for other families. Marnie is amazing - dancing with my mom to engage her and keep her smiling. Darian is amazing- helping to get my mom moved in and her meds setup with very little notice. Mercy is amazing- patient and kind with memory care residents who can be challenging. Literally every staff member we’ve interacted with, from Wendy in sales, to Hannah at the front desk, to the nurses and aids in memory care and outside the memory care floor- they have all gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and that my mom is safe and well looked after. The food is great and the activities have been so thoughtful and fun- Friday happy hours with music, bbq’s with veggies the memory care residents help to tend, and monthly family meals provided by Wellbrooke. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming at any hour we’ve stopped by to see our mom. Thank you very very much- we feel extremely lucky to have found this place for our mom.

Top notch rehabilitation
July 2024
My mother is a current resident and my father in law was a former resident. Their care has been outstanding. The facility is kept very clean. The food is great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating! There are plenty of activities to choose from and keep them active! The PT staff are also friendly and helpful! We are very fortunate to have found Wellbrooke of Carmel and would recommend to anyone who wants their loved one to be well taken care of!

My 97 year old father moved into an assisted living apartment at Wellbrooke-Carmel in February 2024 and has benefited greatly from the social interactions had good care he has received. There was an initial period of adjustment for him after living independently in his condo as he wasn’t initially convinced that he couldn’t continue living by himself. His good experience at Wellbrooke has changed his mind snd he knows he is in the place best for him at this stage of his life. It’s been great for our family as well knowing that he can receive help as soon as needs it.
July 2024
My family was extremely pleased with the level of care my father received during his short stay at Wellbrooke of Carmel. After a steep Alzheimer's decline left him unable to stand or walk, we had to move from Memory Care to a Skilled Nursing facility. We were disappointed by the SNF offered by his MC facility, and chose Wellbrooke for his final month on hospice. The attitude and care provided by the staff was top notch, and I would not hesitate to choose them again for the care of a family member.

I came for more rehabilitation and they treated me well. All the staff are friendly.

We could not be happier with the care my Mother received at Wellbrooke of Carmel. She went in for rehab but unfortunately her health deteriorated quickly and we lost her while she was there. In the beginning while she was able to participate in therapy the therapist were wonderful, kind and patient. The nursing staff was also was very kind and compassionate as Mom's health deteriorated. And everyone we encountered at the management/office staff level as well as the kitchen staff were very helpful and accomadating during this very difficult time for our family.

This is a very good place t rehabilitate. The medical staff are excellent and experienced. The physical made sure I knew what to do and the right way to do it. The rooms are spacious and the food is very good.
October 2023
Great location and very uplifting and modern facility. A new and impressive leadership team has been in place now for several months. They are experienced and excellent so earlier reviews are outdated and not really representative of how things are now! The care is awesome and the leadership staff is doing a wonderful job connecting with residents and families. The food is outstanding and I had the turkey manhattan and a side of ham and bean soup with cornbread today when I visited. A close friend of mine was the first resident in this campus with his wife and had nothing but great things to say. I would highly recommend this campus to anyone needing rehab, memory care or longer term care!
July 2023
This is the finest skilled nursing facility that we have been privileged to find. Outstanding and visible Leadership Team and positive, extraordinary culture of caring - for their patients, for their guests, for each other ! Food is some of the best we have had - at other high level local restaurants and at home ! Truly felt like we were on vacation at the Wellbrooke of Carmel !!

We took a tour of Wellbrooke of Carmel as a potential long-term care facility for a family member. Samone with the admissions team was PHENOMENAL! The entire facility is gorgeous and is a place I would love to spend my latter retirement years. The facility was clean the rooms were spacious and the amenities were plentiful. If you are considering Wellbrooke of Carmel for yourself or a loved one, call Samone. She is amazing. She even helped us with guidance on what to do.

A friend has her mother at this filcilty. The place is neat and clean. I have enjoyed being in the building and visiting with several other people. The staff seems to enjoy being able to help everyone out. I would consider this site as a possible for family members who would need this kind of help. Check them out and see if they can help you.

I have had the pleasure of attending many events at Wellbrooke of Carmel. In the short term rehab there is a wonderful camaraderie. You can tell that all the nurses care for their patients and want all recoveries to go smooth with the best possible outcome. In assisted living the residents are happy and interactive. They have wonderful social opportunities and beautiful common spaces to gather. The food is absolutely world class! You can tell that the chef loves to cook for others and he and his staff do an amazing job. Wellbrooke has a caring and knowledgeable community service rep in Wendy Carl. She takes the time to listen to the needs and concerns of all who encounter her. She has formed an advisory board to ensure that other professionals can work together to network to solve problems that impact seniors. Wellbrooke is an amazing and innovative facility.

Mom has been living in various facilities this past year and Wellbrooke of Carmel has been the best fit with wonderful compassionate care and cheerful and attentive staff. I am so thankful to have found this final home for my mother.
March 2021
On a secondhand recommendation, my 87-year-old mother insisted on this facility for rehab after breaking a hip. My brother and I tried to talk her into going elsewhere, but she kept saying that her friend’s friend said Wellbrooke of Carmel was really nice. So on the day she was to be released after 11 days, surgery, and cardiac events, my brother and I made calls to the facility, unable to reach a human. We’d been in contact during the week, but St.V needed confirmation from WB. We called and called. It was a Saturday, but daytime. The voicemail indicated that they return calls M-F. I kept trying, because I thought it safe to assume SOMEONE would eventually answer the phone, given that people have loved ones inside. Finally, after several attempts over an hour, a person answered. He told me her room was ready and waiting. She was discharged around 5pm; I pulled up to the curb and had her wait in the car while I went to find someone. The entry doors were locked; there was no doorbell. No one in sight. I waited a couple minutes hoping a staff member would appear and I could wave them down. I started knocking on the glass doors and noticed a wheelchair-bound person at a table in the corner working a puzzle or something. I saw people who appeared to be employees on the second floor, but they didn't react to my presence. (You know when people see you and you know they see you, but they act like they don’t? Like that.) After a few minutes the resident, who appeared to be in his 50s and recovering from a spinal cord injury or learning to live with a debilitating disease like ALS, wheeled over to me and through the glass was able to tell me he'd go try to find someone. [If you’re that person, or a loved one of that person, how mad would you be about this?] Anyway, it was very kind of him, because getting around didn't look too easy. He found someone in the dining area(?) and motioned over to me. She moseyed to find someone else. About 10-15 minutes after we arrived, a man came out. I told him I was dropping off my mom. He casually retrieved a wheelchair. I handed him my mom’s hospital discharge folder, a heart monitor that needed to be set up, and a bag, and he wheeled her away. Luckily my mom had her iPad with her, because she had no phone in her room and didn’t have a cell phone. She was able to email me to bring her phone, charger, and medications, and that they weren’t interested in setting up her heart monitor. There was some problem getting her medications that night, but I don’t know details. She was lucky she didn’t have to stay longer than 9 days. On the third day she finally found someone to set up her monitor, which was critical after cardiac events that kept postponing her discharge from the hospital. Today, two weeks home, she told me that she had a weird thing happen to her at that place: The man in charge of bringing her meds came in to weigh her. When he entered she asked if he could turn down her thermostat because it was hot in the room. He charged her, came at this tiny, vulnerable old woman, hands outstretched as if to grab her, and yelled at her for distracting him from his task. Well, you know I’m not a scaredy cat or a weeper, she said, but she was terrified, especially because she was supposed to trust this same person with her meds. She told me she wept to a nurse, saying That man scares me, and I want someone else to bring me my medicine. She never saw him again, so maybe he was let go or reassigned to other patients. In any case, my mom did survive (1 star). The place appears to be clean; it’s pretty sterile, not too homey, like a brand new budget hotel. I mean, the front of the downstairs looks JUST like the lobby of a Hampton Inn. Evidently the PT is good, so there’s that (1 star), and Mom said the food was better than at St V. But gosh, I wouldn’t want to go there, and neither would she, if there is a next time.

Wellbrooke of Carmel is a fantastic community. Denise and Jessica are very professional and empathetic when it comes to meeting the needs of their residents. They've been an absolute pleasure to work with and I always feel comfortable referring my residents to their rehab.
October 2019
My dad stayed here after he had a hemorrhagic stroke leaving him debilitated on his left side. He doesn’t speak much English and rarely trusts anyone outside of my mom. Wellbrooke worked with us to get him adjusted to the facility. They recognized he was more comfortable with certain caretakers and therapists so they scheduled accordingly. They assessed and made changes based on his needs. He fell multiple times during his first few days because he’s stubborn and refused help so they moved his room to be closer to the nurse. Eventually my dad really grew to like the staff and facility because they took the time to earn his trust. They also helped me by giving me great advice regarding his care and the process moving forward to ensure he had what he needed when he went home. They also follow up with me to see if he’s ok or may need to return there. I’d recommend this facility for a loved one any day.

I'm doing my rehabilitation here, and I find it to be a competent and professional place, treating each resident with the appropriate respect. I've been amazed by the skill of each individual who has worked with me, fundamentally recognizing my problems and making the effort to help me regain the mobility I once had.
