I first came to Countryside Meadows after extensive surgeries from mouth and jaw cancer. Soon after had to go to IU Hospital for emergency treatment. When I recovered I returned to Countryside and began talking and walking with the greatest team of 5 star therapists I’ve ever worked with. They pushed me when I almost gave up and were very patient when I needed them to be. My gratitude is so high for them all. Also speech therapy is a 5 star group! The whole staff was there for me in every way possible. I thank them all from my heart. I can’t say enough about Countryside Meadows. Thank you and God bless everyone.

Moving to a skilled nursing facility was very hard for me to think about. I was moving into a new chapter of my life and didn't know what to expect. But from day 1, the CNA's, Nurses, Therapist, Support Staff and Administration have been so helpful and supportive here at Countryside Meadows. Downsizing so dramatically from my 3 bedroom home to sharing a room was hard! I mean, I just want everything there, but that wasn't possible. Once I narrowed down what I wanted from my home and got it settled in, I felt like so much better. Then as time past and I was getting to know the staff more, I realized that I was able to be more social than I was at my home and before I knew it, I was growing a whole new group of family and friends! Now, not every place is a perfect fit for everyone, but Countryside Meadows is for me. The next question is not a reflection on the facility. My answer is a reflection of the ridiculous costs of Healthcare in our country.

I had the pleasure of visiting Countryside Meadows to see a loved one. The place was overall great but the one person who stuck out to me the most was Katie McCloud! She was absolutely amazing in all aspects of the word! She showed so much compassion for everyone she came in contact with. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and goes above and beyond for them as well as their loved ones visiting. Sometimes it's hard to see family go into nursing homes but I would trust Katie with any and all of my loved ones coming into a place like this. She was perfect!! Thank you Katie 🙂

We were so satisfied with the entire staff and her care, that when it was time to place her in long term care, there was no question where she would be. My father suffered a horrible stroke 2 1/2 years ago. Right into what we thought was going to be the highlight of his recovery he suffered another minor stroke. My family and I came together as his primary caregivers and needed help. We sent my father to a couple places for rehabilitation and it turned into a horror story. He was sent to countryside meadows a few months back & this center changed our outlook on what places like this could provide! The team was outstanding. My dad having trauma from past experiences, felt at home here. A huge shoutout to Katie Mccloud & her team for all their substantial help. I was able to come in and sing and entertain the residents during my dad’s stay. This gave my father and I sense of comfort (a piece of normal day/home) and helped me understand the lengths this team and center is willing to go to make a loved one feel safe and heard. These situations with a loved one can be tough but I would definitely recommend Countryside Meadows.

My grandmother [92 years young] Has been in the rehab for 3 weeks and there are a few that are very very helpful Lisa is a CNA and is wonderful on the 100 side will even help feed her when we are not there to do.. Jerry and Adrian are the physical therapist and occupational therapist that have helped her and they are amazing at what they do and very informative.. Carly is a CNA and does a wonderful job helping with not only feeding and changing of my grandma but she is around when needed.. We have the best house keeping chicky she always has our room smelling clean ( can't think of her name but starts with an A) yes thats bad of me .. From the front desk receptionist waiting with a smile, to the nursing staff caring for the residents, this is the best place in town. All of the nursing managers are always accessible to the staff, residents and their families. Grace greets everyone with a smile upon entering. Tiffany is unlike any other Nursing Director and is always on the floor teaching staff, assisting residents or answering questions for their family. Katie is always on rehab to answer questions for the admitting patients or help them prepare for their eagerly awaited discharge back home. Megan in Social Services works efficiently to make sure the patients are ready and have all the tools for success. The nursing staff are always anticipating what the residents need and maintaining a friendly and pleasant demeanor.

My Mother has had a great transition with Meadow Lakes, from rehab to Memory Care. She is adjusting well (Loves the Aides) made new friends (hates to eat _but always has) Loves to walk but now she's confined so to speak. She as well has lost personal clothing. I want to dress her well & I hate to see her name on someone else's back. Bring her favorites as far as clothing and she remembers when we do. Aides need to take "another" task to identify personal belongings. They're job is tough and on a time restraint I understand but keep their dignity and their stuff may help in the confusion ring

From the CNA’s to the therapists.everyone was so pleasant and helpful and professional. The community itself was very clean. My fianc© has been admitted here for almost two months after an unfortunate car accident that put him in a state where he’s having to learn how to walk. I’ve been seeing a lot of unfortunate negative reviews about Countryside and I’d like to speak my personal truth: My fianc© is 28. A nursing home isn’t the most ideal place for him to live full time, but I toured many places and Countryside really stuck out to me. The main staff is extremely polite, honest, and has been respectful throughout the entire process. He was unfortunately admitted on a Friday so the care he received starting out felt very rushed and uncoordinated, but after having a personal talk with the Director of Nursing Services, they accommodated every need he had and listened and addressed all of my concerns. They were very quick to make sure he had everything he needed. A large majority of the aides we have encountered have been amazing. They’ve been super sweet and helpful to him, some of them he’s made friends with. This is the first time I’ve personally had to experience a situation like this, and the staff has helped educate me through everything. They’re very honest about insurance blocks, medication blocks, and any troubles they run into, they’ll address them with us so we are aware ahead of time. I’ve seen a lot of reviews mentioning lack of baths, therapy, or feeling neglected when it comes to bed changes. In terms of the 100 hall, your main goal is to push yourself and get out. Physical and occupational therapy have to prove to your insurance that you are making progress ” if you don’t push yourself and go to therapy every day, you can’t stay. The therapists have been amazing for my fianc©. He’s also made friends with them, and they help encourage and push him to get better. Regarding baths and bed changes, it’s a simple ask. The aides and nurses have never once told my fianc© no if he’s asked for a bed change or a bath, and most of the time, they do it without him asking because that’s their policy. A lot of people also mention the food not being satisfying ” that’s valid. They have to accommodate to all restrictions that anybody may have, so the food can be bland. I’ve personally provided my fianc© with his own personal salt and pepper to help with that. But if he simply doesn’t like the food, again, it’s a simple ask, they will replace your food with something else. And if that doesn’t satisfy, you can order anything you want to your door. The visiting hours are 24 hours too so that’s been super helpful since I stay pretty late too. It’s unfortunate to have to be in a nursing home, for anyone for that matter. We have encountered rude aides and we have had struggles throughout this process of being admitted. But I can confidently say that I trust them to take care of my fianc©. This company has been incredibly accommodating and I’m grateful for the support they’ve given us. I would like to call out some names to show support in hopes they will personally get recognized: I strongly appreciate Sierra for helping accommodate and being her authentic self. I would like to thank Lisa, Mimi, and Carly for being so kind to my fianc© and making him feel at home. I would like to thank Peter for welcoming us with open arms the day he was admitted. I would like to thank our other lovely aides, Desi and Maria, thank you for being so sweet since day one. I would also like to thank Blessing for being a wonderful face to say goodnight to when I leave early in the morning. I’ve probably missed many names, but those people deserve to be recognized and deserve praise. I appreciate everyone so so much and I hope that they feel love from my words during these tough days. ™
