I came to Brookdale for a temporary stay to complete my recovery from physical injuries. My stay at Brookdale has been an excellent experience. The facility is first-rate and the staff is even better. From management to nursing care to maintenance to dining services, the staff is unsurpassed in their ability and willingness to serve the senior community. I recommend Brookdale Urbana to anyone looking for senior housing and, who knows, I may return some day to live here again!

At my recent visit to Brookdale it was obvious that they are very attentive and caring to their residents. It is also a very nice looking and well designed facility. All of the staff were very accommodating. I definitely recommend people check it out when searching for a new senior residence.

This building feels like home rather than a clinical space or some stuffy hotel where you dont matter. The residents go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Our COVID-19 policies were stringent but it was all for the betterment of the community. We have had our challenges yes, but we can only go up from here. The residents and staff members who remain positive continue to build up our home.

I have somewhat committed in working here for at least 5 years. I have seen lots of changes saying we need stay at benchmark hours. I havent seen it can get better. But when we hire people which is majority would be working the 40 hrs work week. Cuz is what you call full-time status But than again they call you in cuz they become understaffed w staff they have hired to replace the extra hours. Cant Urbana problem. But we do have great turnover rate. I think it goes w people finding better paying jobs,here pay is not worth time,

While my father was a resident there he and my family were treated with the utmost respect and care. The entire staff was responsive to our needs, and were always professional and "human" at the same time. From a financial standpoint, we particularly appreciated the "a la carte" pricing structure at Brookdale, which allowed us to tailor a monthly care schedule which both met my dad's physical needs and his budget as well. We would recommend Brookdale to anyone, and in fact have done so on several occasions. Kudos!

I am a big fan of the team over at Brookdale. They have worked very hard to remodel the building and make it such a friendly and welcoming environment for all of their residents. I am especially impressed by their memory care unit, which has a modern "homey" feeling to it, and some amazing amenities such as their spa.

My Aunt has been here about a year and a half and I visit weekly. They just finished a complete remodel of common areas so all the flooring, paint and furniture is new. Convenient location close to groceries, banks and 3 pharmacies. Receptionist and staff seem friendly. She's never happy with the dinners, but says breakfast and lunch is good. Sometimes they seem to be short wait staff at meal time.

Brookdale is a beautiful place for my mom. She is very happy and comfortable. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. They are very welcoming when friends and family come in to visit. The staff is very friendly and take good care of her. They respond quickly if she needs any help. We wish the food was better, we are not alone with this thought. Most of the residents send the food back. and the food was a selling point when we toured this community. Management said they were looking into the matter. There are a lot of activities provided that my mom participates in, she really enjoys the exercise classes. They have nice front patios with rockers and chairs to enjoy the outdoors and socialize. She recently went with a group of resident out to dine at the Cracker Barrel. She seems very content and happy. I would recommend this community to friends and family.

The carpet in the foyer and first foor hallways are absolutely filthy. No receptionist at the front desk. I ate lunch with someone there and my grilled cheese sandwich was two pieces of grilled bread with cold cheese between. The nursing staff seems attentive. Resident room smelled very damp and musty.
