I have nothing but good things to say about River Glen! My father currently has an assisted living apartment in the community. I love the structured and friendly environment. When dad is not out of the building I like the options that he has...lovely environment both inside and outside the grounds. Lots of places to sit and visit or walk around. River Glen is always brightly lit and the residents very friendly. I love knowing my dad can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily with a side menu option. It is also great knowing dad has some choices and I always see the staff smiling too. I highly recommend River Glen for your loved one.

Claudine at River Glen is a caring and dedicated professional. The facility is truly the Cadillac of Assisted Living. My parents live out of state and are pursuing options closer to home, but I will measure my visits by my experience at River Glen.

We recently visited River Glen assisted living facility. This facility exceeds expectations. The atmosphere was homey and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. It is obvious that they care deeply for the residents. Claudine went above and beyond to answer our questions and concerns and to put everyone at ease. The residents we met were friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Amy Pedone at River Glen has been AWESOME for my family as we work with our aging father to move into an assisted living community. The staff is beyond friendly, the home is beautiful and clean, the activity options and the medical care options bring comfort. Seeing how well Dad would be taken care of upon moving into River Glen is comforting for his family as well. I remain hopeful Dad will join this community within the next few months as we are all confident his quality of life and happiness will immediately improve!!!

Never before have I felt so strongly about leaving a review. I've visited countless homes in the area through volunteerism and being with relatives, and I feel River Glen is the premier assisted living facility in the area and by far the best-kept secret in the Fox Valley. It is truly a hidden gem among all assisted living facilities and one you absolutely must visit. The excellent and professional care you'll find here from the dedicated staff members and the medical team is second to none. Amy Pedone and the rest of the quality staff members will move mountains to ensure your loved one feels right at home from the moment they move in. How do I know? Amy and fellow staffer, Vanessa, literally helped my husband and I move my dear friend Mary into River Glen last August during the pandemic. Without family around to help her move, Amy went above and beyond to deliver a comfortable and cozy apartment, even personally driving a truck to Mary's house and loading it full of her belongings. Not only was this an unbelievably kind gesture, due to Mary experiencing a sudden and unexpected injury, somehow Amy managed to get Mary moved in immediately...on a single day's notice! This outpouring of care and compassion has continued throughout Mary's entire residency at River Glen, with the ultimate goal to be an extension of her family. Amy and the entire staff have made it their mission to create a caring home where it is easy for residents like Mary to build connections, develop relationships, and be happy. This scaled-down, comfortable community in a picturesque setting delivers on all counts, including its amazing food! Through my friend, Mary, I personally have experienced tenderness and love from this entire River Glen staff. Like Mary, I am happy to say I've developed friendships here that will last a lifetime.

My mother in law went here in September 2020.Its an absolutely amazing place.It really is special.From the directors,staff,nurses,aides,caregivers,maintanence-they are all top of the line.They also offer hospice which she used.Hospice was fabulous also.Her level of care and the attention she received was incredible.We would absolutely recommend this facility big time.We were so lucky to find them and be able to get in.Their communication and responsiveness is examplry.Thanks to all at River Glen for her stay and care.

My father had been in another assisted living facility for 2 years but was declining over the last 6 months. COVID isolation and turning 92 took a toll on him. After two hospital stays then rehabilitation and skilled nursing, I took the advice of a friend and looked into River Glen. After only a month, my wife and I are amazed at how good he looks now. During a recent video call, he actually said, I like this place. He has never said that before. The care and attention he receives has made all the difference in the world. I am incredibly happy with the decision to move him to River Glen in St Charles, IL.

I helped move my elderly friend into assisted living at River Glen just two weeks ago as she was no longer able to live in her home alone. From the moment Amy and her exceptional staff knew of her needs she was cared for in a way I didnt know possible and the attention far exceeded all expectations. They have supported my friend in all ways including medical, emotional, social, and financial; even directly assisting her in making the move happen. Every interaction with River Glen has been loving, compassionate, and professional. Take it from my friend, the proud new River Glen resident, who has proclaimed, I feel like Im home., The food is marvelous, and Everyone here radiates love. I could not be more positive about my experiences with River Glen and my friend feels the same way. This truly is an extraordinary place.

Note: Writing a review is something that I dont often do; in fact, I cannot remember the last time or even if there was a last time. With that being said, writing a review is something to be taken seriously and the fact I have been inspired to write a review is special for me. Having my mother living at River Glen of St Charles has given me something worthy to write about. Walking through the front door of River Glen of St Charles feels like walking into someones house, a comfortable and friendly space that is a clean, warm environment. The dining room is comfortable with a flare of elegance which provides a perfect atmosphere for residents to enjoy delicious food that is selected by the resident and served to them at their table. The living space is nice but what makes the living arrangements a step above is the high level of care that is given from the very competent staff, the administration, caregivers, maintenance, housekeeping, dining, and everyone else that contributes to a residents care. The staff treat the residents as family and treats the residents family with respect. The staff communicates regularly and meets with you when necessary to discuss your loved ones care needs. Our mother lived in assisted living until she needed to transition to the memory care unit. It was a difficult emotional decision that was supported by the staff that helped us to make the transition in the most positive way. We knew our mother was well cared for and that is a tremendous comfort for us. Then Covid-19 presented the upmost challenge to all of us especially facilities like River Glen. No one knows for sure how you will react to a crisis such as Covid-19 but what we have experienced with River Glen is the staff has gone above and beyond to implement CDC practices and procedures for both the residents and the staff. Maintaining the residents health is surely most important but the staff also consistently uses creative ways to keep the residents happy, by providing activities, opportunities to exercise, and communicate with family via, phone, FaceTime and window visits. For family members, periodically emails are sent to keep families updated which allows transparency and gives us comfort knowing our families are being well taken care of. I would love to mention by name the staff that have been so helpful; but I would need to mention every single person who works there because at River Glen each position is a part of the whole team that provides excellent care and provides a healthy environment.

I highly recommend River Glen. It is a lovely facility. All of the staff are kind, caring and take the time to get to know the residents. My mom moved into assisted living when she was 90, but it was clear after a few months that she needed to move into the dementia unit. The staff was very helpful with that transition. They made sure that she got the PT that she needed. They facilitated doctor appointments and monitored her medications. When my mom needed to go to the hospital they made sure that happened and communicated well with me which was important since I live out of state. Jena the head nurse was especially helpful to me, calling me, and promptly answering emails, often late at night after her work hours. Jena always showed genuine care and concern for my mom, and for me. River Glen is like a family where residents and staff know each other, care about each other, get along with each other and have fun together. All assisted living facilities are expensive but River Glen was worth every penny that we paid. I am so happy that I found such a wonderful place for my mom.

As a healthcare provider I visit this facility weekly and monthly with a Physician. This facility provides a home like atmosphere that instantaneously invites you in. The staff is not only bright and engaging but knowledgable. It is a rarity in my line of work to see the same faces, but the longevity of employment here is astounding. I find myself being drawn into the activites upon every visit. Be it painting, exercise, music or just coffee clutch by the fire there is always something going on and friends to be had. The rooms are quaint and homie and offer the privacy of your own apartment. Fully staffed nursing, aids, therapy staff and physicians aid in a wide variety of healthcare needs. The hair salon is uniquily designed to accomidate physical limitations. The private memory care is a secure area that is uniquely designed to provide a safe enviroment for residents while maintaining their dignity and autonomy. The residents are engaged in activties to maintain cognition and promote overall physical wellness. As a Nurse for 25 years who has worked in many Assisted Livings its a privilege to visit this facility and I often refer families to visit when looking for advance care for their loved one.

We recently settled a family member in assisted living at River Glen. From the moment we walked in, the environment was peaceful and felt like walking into a large country home. Very different from the large hotel type hallways of other places we visited. The staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. It was immediately apparent that they care about their work and their residents. Residents are offered numerous activities and opportunities for outings. Our family member has settled in nicely and enjoys the opportunities to socialize and interact with others. I would recommend checking out River Glen and its peaceful community.

My mom has been a resident for six months so far she likes it and so does my family. The place is clean and nice the food is good the staff is great the nurses are excellent the monthly payment is comparable to any other assisted living facility but I would recommend this place.
