My mother had been at Halina’s Home Care for several months and the she was so well taken care of and happy there. Initially she resisted the idea of leaving her home and didn’t believe that anywhere could be as comfortable and homey as her own home The caretakers were so genuinely kind and caring towards her and all of our family and friends who visit. My Mom’s personal needs were met and she had assistance with dressing,bathing, hair care and really anything that my mom used to be able to do and it was handled a compassionate and dignified way. The quality of the food was unbelievable, homemade, fresh and delicious. I have personally had samples of their meals and it’s wonderful. The home is so clean and yet not institutional like. It truly is a cozy home and the best place I could have imagined for my Mom.

Was very fortunate to find Halina's Home for the last 4 months of my husband's life. He had battled Lewy Body Dementia for 18yrs. His health had stayed stable until this April, when he stopped walking and continued a steady decline. I wish I had moved him sooner. He was always clean and loved the meals. I was fortunate to have his caregivers to be very attentive. When you already feel concerned about a loved one's condition, worrying about their care is stressful. His care partners as well as the owner took away much of the stress. No place is home but Halina's comes close. The fact that they have no more than 6 residents at one time is beneficial. Unlike over populated, not enough staff, at corporate nursing facilities.

My husband has recently been hospitalized twice with congestive heart failure and most recently with a broken hip. The doctors and staff recommended that he have 24 hour care after he was in rehab. The nursing homes were understaffed and depressing. My family researched and found Halina’s Home Care online. This place is similar to living in a home. The caretakers are experienced, kind, and caring. He gets home cooked meals, help with dressing, bathing and personal needs. There is camaraderie with the residents. I prepare his medications in a weekly pill box and they make sure he takes them each day. My stress level has been greatly reduced, knowing he is getting the attention and care that he needs in a wonderful environment. So blessed to have discovered this alternative to a nursing home.

My Mom came to Halinas after a very traumatic stay at an area nursing home. The care and attention that my mom has been getting at Halinas is excellent. Our mom being at Halinas has been a wonderful experience. After several trips back-and-forth from the hospital and rehab centers we knew it was time for her to have full-time care. We have been to some nursing home facilities and found that most of the time she was sitting at the nurses station in her wheelchair and was not happy. When we heard about Halinas we went out to visit the different homes and what a difference. A residential home with a limited number of residents per facility gives her a lot of personalized care and attention. Two full-time caregivers a beautiful dining room to go together for dinner a sitting room to watch TV together and a nice open area to visit. The natural lighting throughout the house really makes it fresh and open. Communication between our family and Halinas has always been very prompt and informative. We have spent the last few holidays having dinner with mom the residents and their family. Wouldnt have her anywhere else she has great caregivers peaceful atmosphere and we can visit whenever we want.

Our sons caregiver is a CNA who is well trained, caring, and focused on creating a stimulating environment. Halinas offers a home-like setting and makes every effort to create opportunities for residents to participate in community activities. The owner, Dan, is accessible and is very willing to address concerns and questions raised by family members. We recommend Halinas as a welcome alternative to a nursing home setting for young adults with physical disabilities who need 24-7 support, as well as seniors who require supervision and continuous care.

My mother was at Halinas for 3 1-2 years. My family and I were very happy with the excellent care my mother received. She was always clean, hair brushed, and dressed in clean clothes. When she was able, someone would come and play trivia games and other times a woman would come and lead the residents in song. The food was always nutritious. The staff always remembered birthdays and celebrated. Its a wonderful place!

My mom fell and broke her neck. We needed 24 hour care fast and Helinas was there when we needed them, literally at a moments notice. They bent over backwards, providing my mom with a large, private room, her own bathroom, the bed she wanted and the location of the bed in her room. We were able to visit whenever we wanted and take her out when we wanted. They helped her with showering, provided meals and snacks, made her bed and did her laundry daily. Wonderful, caring owners and staff! Highly recommend!

I have been working at Halinas Home Care for almost five years since 2009. I left my job in 2014 when I moved away to different state. Today, after all this time I can definitely say that Halinas was the best place I worked. Ms. Halina always puts clients needs first, she is very dedicated and caring person. After working in many different assisted living homes and nursing homes I can tell for sure that there is no better place than Halinas Residential Home, trust me! The care we used to provide 24-7 ; the food is cooked fresh at home everyday; all doctors and nurses who can visit your parents right there; volunteers with dogs; talented mucisians and artists... everyone who comes are the same people all the time- same doctors, same nurses, same caregivers.... Yours parents dont have to struggle to get to know knew person... That place was really actual HOME for many people... Everybody loved Halinas Home! I think you should definitely consider this place for your parents! This place will give you piece in your mind and great home for your loved ones!Thank you, Ms. Halina for all the years I worked for you!

As a health professional that frequently visits elderly care homes I rate this particular care home on 555 Marion ave Excellent. Our father lived here for a year before we moved back to Texas . The staff is so caring and worked to aide our dad in dealing with his dementia and emotional ups and down.As a hospice nurse my belief is that the elderly function BEST in a small loving environment .A consistent routine and familiar staff is vital to there comfort and adjustment......you will find it here at Halinas ! The owner is fabulous at listening to your concerns and truly works to apply your suggestions .We miss you ....and thank you for all you did for Mr Percy !

It took my family a while before deciding where our grandmother would feel like shes at home. After searching and looking for a Home, we have found Halinas Residential Home Care. After having seen the Home we felt this is the place. As we entered the Home we were very impressed with how everyone welcomed us with such love. You could just feel its there. It was a great experience for all of us. The people that work there, from Cooks to Nurses, are amazing. They all take care of everyone with love, patience, passion. It made us as family very comfortable knowing our grandmother is in very good hands. Also, having home cooked meals, which by the way are very delicious, was also important to us.The rooms are very clean, spacious, furnished and beautifully decorated. The Home itself is filled with love for everyone that lives there.I highly recommend who is thinking of having their loved once at a Home, Halinas Residential Home Care is a place to be.

Halinas is a very special place, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about its owners (who are kind, caring, dedicated people) or its caregiver staff, who provide emotional and physical support, not to mention a very loving atmosphere for the residents in their homes. We moved my 91-year old mother there in May, 2014 because she needed more care than could be provided to her on a consistent basis at the supportive living facility shed been living at. Her memory was deteriorating, and so was her ability to assist in self-care. But a nursing home placement was NOT what we wanted for her. And then we were referred to Halinas. The home is immaculately clean, comfortable, home-like. My mom is treated with such kindness and respect by the caregivers, who attend to her every need with a great, positive attitude and sense of humor. My mom LOVES the home-made meals they cook for the residents. She has a bright, spacious bedroom filled with her personal items and clothing. The caregivers help her to dress and even to apply makeup. And when my mom needed some dental care, the owner PERSONALLY drove her to his family dentist for treatment, after checking with me to see if it would be ok. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make sure the residents enjoy a good quality of life. And they have SUCH PATIENCE! The review only lets you give 5 stars, but I would gladly give 100 stars to this care facility.

My Mom has been cared for at Halinas since April, 2011. We have found the owners to be considerate, thoughtful and responsible people who work effectively and with a caring attitude, with our family. My Moms current caregiver, Ceasar, has been an excellent person to work with. He takes very good care of our Mom and coordinates her care and ensures a quality of living that gives us peace of mind. He emails pictures of Mom with other residents and keeps us up to date on her daily living. When health challenges have come up, everyone at Halinas, particularly Ceasar, have responded with urgency and efficiency.Mom enjoys seeing Zoe, a therapy dog that visits plus the art class and exercise group. Halinas owners are always open to considering new experiences for their residents. The house is always neat and clean, and the atmosphere is uplifting and pleasant. Families feel comfortable spending as much time as they want with their loved ones. Ceasar keeps the pace going, and always has a smile for everyone. I would recommend Halinas to any family that is looking for a family-based alternative to nursing homes or excessively priced assisted living choices.

The care my dad has received has been excellent. He is in a wheelchair and needs care on a 24 hour basis and the staff is there to provide that care and concern. Since I live out of state, the owner, Dan, always keeps me up to date on dads doctor visits and his day-to-day.What I like so much is that without Halinas, my dad would likely be in a nursing home. This is a true home which is a comfort to my dad and to me.

I would highly recommend Halinas to anyone whose parent is no longer able to care for themselves. My Mother has been a resident since May 2014 and she is receiving excellent 24-hour care. We investigated many facilities prior to moving Mom and none compared to the level of personalized care Halinas provides. We are confident Mom is in very capable, caring hands and the entire family has felt a great sense of relief since moving her to Halinas.
