My mother is a resident at Bickford of St. Charles and is currently under Hospice care. The ENTIRE staff has shown so much love and care to my mom, myself, and my family. The staff deserves 10 Stars for the most wonderful personalized care I have ever experienced. Bickford truly depicts a warm, cozy home environment in every respect. The dining room offers homemade (cooked on sight) meals that are very tasty and served restaurant style. Bickford is immaculately clean. Resident apartments are modern, roomy, and well equipped for a comfy transition from home to assisted living. Although I don't remember all the names of the staff assisting my mother, I want to say THANK YOU for your expert care, professionalism, and kindness! *To Sharon, Rhonda, & Alisa......you are a true asset to Bickford. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your care and compassion. *To The Bickford Nursing Staff.....Your attentiveness is outstanding! My mother never had to wait for assistance. You never let her down. *To The Hospice Team....Thank you for you care and compassion. All my mother's needs were met in a very timely manner. I am so pleased with the care my mom receives at Bickford. It hasn't been easy since her dementia diagnosis, so knowing that she is being well cared for is a relief. Bickford has many activities for the residents in memory care to participate in, and I love seeing photos of mom painting, playing piano, and spending time with her caregivers. The director and RN coordinator have exceeded my expectations and it is clear that each staff member is dedicated to the residents' wellness and safety. Not to mention, the chef makes a mean chocolate cake!

My dad moved into the memory care section of Bickford of St. Charles at the end of December. Beginning with our very welcoming interview with Colleen the director, my family and I have been very pleased with the care they have provided for my dad. He is clean, content, well fed, and active. There are plenty of interactions he has with the staff as well as activities to enhance his mental and physical capacity. We are new to the dementia world and how it affects people. The staff and Colleen the director have been incredibly patient and kind to my family. Colleen spent an hour on the phone with my mom reassuring my mom about my dads condition...giving her time outside of normal work hours (the phone call was on a Sunday). The staff, from top to bottom, have given my family and I peace of mind knowing that Dad is getting the best care around. Thank you seems too easy to say for what you have given to my dad and us. May God reward you!

Facility director Colleen did an amazing job trying to get a respite room ready for my father on short notice. Even with all the new challenges she faces every day with Covid-19, she was tireless in making sure every detail was arranged, including all the paperwork. Can't thank her enough for all she did.

I wish I could give Bickford of St. Charles more stars!! My father-in-law needed a place to go urgently when leaving another facility. I was in a panic!! I called Bickford of St. Charles and reached a gal named Colleen. SHE WAS AN ANGEL! ! Colleen is very caring and helped to put my mind at ease immediately. In the middle of my panic Collen said, please dont worry, I will take care of this. Colleen gave me her weekend number and said, call my cell if you need anything! She truly cares!!! Long story short, my father-in-law passed away (that very weekend) and we did not have a chance to place my father-in-law with Bickford of St. Charles. I know he would have been in the best of hands at Bickford. I could tell how great they are just by my few conversations with Colleen. Thank you, Colleen!

This was one of our favorite retirement homes that we visited. The staff seemed super friendly and very accommodating. They spent a lot of time with us going over all our questions. We have set up an appointment next week to take my husbands mother to see the facility and be assessed. They are not pressuring us but trying to make it special for her. We are going for happy hour and they offered to get her favorite wine. They have a lot of fun activities every day.

Toured at 2PM. Difficulty entering the facility as there is no receptionist and a code is required to enter and exit. [Removed] gave has a complete tour and a good overview. She also recommended a good mover. Very nice facility. Members of the staff were recreating an [Removed] Sisters tune - impressive. Maybe it was the hour of the day, but we did not see many folks in the common areas, as most must have been in their rooms. Dinning and choice of foods looked excellent.

We moved our family member with memory issues into Bickford about 1-1/2 months ago. His health has already greatly improved. He moved in there when we realized we could no longer meet his needs in our home. He moved in to Bickford after a hospital and long rehab stay and he was so week that he had become wheelchair bound. He is already up with his walker & looks years younger. They are diligent with meeting his needs (regular toileting, doctor ordered water restriction enforced, social interaction, even physical kind & appropriate touch). The nurses, CNA's & administrative staff are all very aware of him and his specific needs - well trained, knowledgeable & friendly. They are very loving & consistent with all that they do for him. He normally would complain about food - but he is happy with the food provided there. We are thrilled with the level of care. Great team caring for our loved one.

I toured this community for my mother and her needs. Everything went very well, and this is a pleasant community. The staff I met was friendly and kind. It was a very good experience. There were many factors that played into where to move my mother too. This wasn't the place for us, but it is a good community with kind people.

I just stopped in there and they gave me a tour. Very nice. The problem is they are a private pay. If my dad runs out of money, I don't want to have to move him. No medicaid.
