I have been very happy with the care that my mom receives at Mill Creek. I have been impressed with the patience and empathy that the caregivers show to my mom, but also to all the residents. She’s very well cared for. The nursing staff do an amazing job of keeping track of my moms medical needs and communicating with me and the physician. My mom has been eating more than was typical for her due to the quality of the food and she likes the way that the dining room is set up. Maintenance issues were handled very quickly and he was incredibly helpful. I have been very happy with the care that my mom has received.

Mill Creek is a very special community. Nurses and caregivers truly care about the residents. The warm atmosphere feels like home. If your loved one has dementia and needs a more supportive environment, Mill Creek is the BEST option in Springfield.

When it was time for my husband to move into a memory care facility, I visited all of the facilities in this area. I chose Mill Creek and have never regretted my decision. The cheerful staff has always fulfilled my requests and attended to my husband's needs. I admire their dedication and attention toward the residents. The facility is clean and the staff goes out of their way to create daily activities/events for all to enjoy.

When John went to live at Mill Creek, I was greatly concerned that he would not adjust to his new environment. With the help of friendly staff and other residents, his adjustment was smooth. The activities they offer have kept John alert and vital. His behavior and outlook improved at Mill Creek. They keep the family involved and in the know -- sharing his activities each day via e-mail. The staff answers my questions and will investigate any concerns. So thankful for Mill Creek.

I have visited this facility as a healthcare professional for several years. The building is always clean and odor free, residents are well taken care of by staff and engaged in activities. Staff are knowledgeable to the disease and appear to be very genuine to the residents and family members. . Great place in my opinion!

Mill creek is person centered care 24/7, their dementia residents know staff by name....you will find that over 50% of the staff have been here for many years....they are caring, loving, and dedicated to treating the patients not the disease....they are a community, not facility....

There's a fairly regular turnover amongst the aides, but the are a competent bunch. It's no picnic to supervise a bunch of old folks with memory loss, incontinence, mobility challenges, etc. The more mobile residents are prone to pick up items from one room and take them to another, so don't decorate with irreplaceable photos and knick knacks.
