This is a community for anyone who is interested know getting great care for their loved ones. The compassion I was shown gave me reassurance that my mom would be in great hands. I also really appreciate the individualized approach to care Story Point clearly takes. The community was clean and welcoming and the staff I encountered were all very nice and seemed to love what they do. We haven’t moved in yet but we intend to soon.

My father’s health was failing but he wanted to live with my mom, his wife of 63 years. StoryPointe has the option of independent living with ala carte services for daily care. This was exactly what my family wanted for them. The staff has been kind and caring toward my mother and the care my dad received was compassionate and respectful

Our tour with Crystal was very helpful and we received all the information we needed and more. StoryPoint looks like a lovely community. It was very clean, well cared for, bright and cheerful. They seem to truly care about their residents.

Story Point Romeoville is an upbeat, social environment. The staff is caring and professional. The staff is very interested in the needs of the residents. Suggestions are acted onname tags, chef demonstrations, rooms for model trainsand quickly. Residents should not feel trapped, as there are many outings, shopping trips, excursions offered, if residents choose to engage. Story Point has given me, the daughter, a huge blessing, reducing stress, knowing my parents are well cared for 24 hours each day!

My mom and dad were planning on moving into StoryPoint, but unfortunately my dad passed away before the move occurred. My mom decided to stick with their plan and she moved in 2 weeks after my dad's death. All staff have been absolutely incredible to my mom! They welcomed her with open arms and she immediately jumped right in with all that is offered at StoryPoint! My mom loves it there and I am at peace knowing she is well taken care of!

My husband was at Storypoint, he has vascular dementia. He was there from the end of July until the beginning of January. While he was there he fell so many times. They blamed it on his weight. He was taken to St. Joseph hospital in Joliet in October. The ER recognized that he must have had a stroke. They did an MRI and yes, he had stroke FIVE recently. I should have realized then he was in the wrong spot. It wasn't until he went to the Behavioral unit that I realized he needed to be moved. He had obviously had another stroke that went undetected. Storypoint's director of nursing an uncaring worthless person. The care staff was good. The admiration was always in a meeting and took days to get a response. Don't send your loved ones here.

I met with Megan Riebel last week to learn more about StoryPoint Retirement Community and see if we could partner together on a program I offer. I was so impressed with Megan! She is the kind of person I love to do business with.....why? She was precise, detailed, took me for a tour BUT most of all she was so caring and made me feel like I was someone important. She is genuinely interested in making people feel comfortable and so easy to connect. Beside that she took me for a tour of a fabulous retirement community, everyone I met was so friendly I did not want to leave! Oh and it was lunch time and the food smelled delicious. My mother Marylee Gilliam, is a resident here at Story Point. She has lived here for 14 years. The staff are polite, knows her name,, and meets her needs. She has many friends. The bus is available to take her shopping. The rooms are spacious & comfortable. The food is delicious.

As a full time musician/entertainer, I've been very impressed with the high level of professionalism and friendliness at StoryPoint Romeoville, IL. With any successful organization the overall focus has to be 100 percent on the needs of the residents. I have witnessed how the residents respond positively to being treated first class which makes them & their families happier and results in the adjustment so much easier. On a personal note, I'd like to applaud the management team led by hands on Executive Director Hope Boyd and her life enrichment team of Nia Dickerson & Rhishard Wilson on their efforts to create an environment where I enjoy entertaining the residents with the support & of the management.

StoryPoint is an amazing facility!!! Megan Riebel is such an advocate for her residents -and takes such pride in helping family make the best choice for their loved one. Hope, Pam and the entire team treat every resident like family . The building feels like a luxury hotel with amazing food, creative and exciting activities and the clinical team is dedicated to the best care for each individual that walks through the door. Storypoint & their staff are second to NONE! BY FAR, the best assisted living facility in the Joliet/Chicago Area. Their focus on the details for your loved one’s needs are exceptional! They listen, they work with you to plan your lives one’s care, THEN they execute! You can tell, each department works seamlessly with other departments as a fine oiled machine to make their residents feel well taken care of & cater, individually to any change necessary. Moving my mom from her home to an assisted living facility was not only emotional but also a very difficult decision. From the first moment I entered StoryPoint and met with Sarah....I knew this was the place for her. It was the BEST decision I made for my mom. Every time I speak with my mom, she is telling me what she did that day, the food, the residents and not to mention the wonderful staff. She loves it at StoryPoint!

Best decision my mother made was moving to Senior Star at Weber Place. After my father passed away we wanted to find a spot that was closer to me but where my mom could still live independently. They offer many activities for seniors to socialize and stay busy. The staff has been phenomenal.

Both mom and dad spent time at Senior Star, first in independent living together and then in assisted living together.. Ultimately, we moved mom to the Memory Care housing at Senior Star, and she lived the balance of her life there. We found the staff across the board to be tremendously caring. There were occasional challenges with response team but, ultimately, we were grateful for the staff - they eased worried minds. This wasn't an inexpensive venture but worth the investment in the well-being of our parents.

My dad lived her for 5 years and he thrived at Senior Star. The management and staff were the best. From the first day he moved in to the day he passed, they treated him like family. I just wanted to take a moment to share in memory of my dad and to say thank you for all the wonderful years!

They go out of their way for their associates and I love hearing people say that they love where they work. My mom lived at Senior Star at Weber Place for 1 year and 2 months before her death. She had a lovely room set up similar to her home prior to moving in. She made many new friends at Senior Star. To her surprise she also knew many of the residents when she first moved in. She was very well taken care of by the staff from the moment of first looking at Senior Star, to the layout of her rooms, to her move in, during her living there until we moved her belongings out as she had passed there with a Senior Star nurse at her side. In the beginning and until she started to fail and started passing from this life; she was very social, enjoyed conversing with her new friends. enjoyed the social activities, and enjoyed her new home. It allowed myself to know someone was always around my mom in case she needed assistance with anything as opposed to living by herself and the constant worry about her. It is really a lovely place to live.

Senior Star at Weber Place is probably a very nice place to be if you are in independent living. If you need help and have a bit of demenia, you will not be satisfied with them. My mother died as a result of poor care in their memory care facility. I had to continuous watch over my mother's care. When I was told a doctor was attending her, that doctor, who was sponsored by Senior Star, did not treat her condidtion correctly. She suffered unnecessarily and eventually died because of all she suffered.

Senior Star is a One of a Kind place, George Vera walked us thru the facility with such Great passion and has such a servants heart for each of the people who call Senior Star Home away from Home . The Staff is clearly why it bears the name STAR, their attention to detail for each one is AMAZING! The facility is spotless and the atmosphere alone is so welcoming! My father and mother moved in a few years ago. My mother was transferred to the Memory Care and eventually paid for a private care giver to care for her the last four months until she passed. She gave her one on one Care that the facility couldn’t do. Dad is very happy in Assisted Living. The staff is very kind and takes great care of him. We visit him often and at different hours throughout the day/week, just to make certain.
