You’ll find more space here than most places in the North Shore. It’s the most Independent-Living-feeling assisted living community you’ll find in the area! Absolutely love this community.

Look, I perform at hundreds of senior communities, and North Shore Place is creme de la creme. It's immaculate, but it looks and feels like a homey resort, not like an institution. I notice the little things that the staff does for the residents, always respectful, never condescending. Looking at their activity calendar, it feels like these folks live inside a cruise ship. Getting old can be depressing, but North Shore Place makes it as fun and stimulating as possible. My contact there is Tyler Carlborg, the director of resident programming. He always treats me like a rock star when I go to North Shore Place. Once I arrived there to do a performance, and I discovered that I'd accidentally left all of my equipment at my previous gig in Hyde Park! Tyler was so sympathetic, and he rescheduled me. I'm eternally grateful. I won't be able to afford to live there. I tell the seniors I invested in TV dinners, and all my assets are frozen. But if I win the little lotto, guess who's moving in?

As I walk in by the front door, I’m always greeted with a smile from the front desk personnel and the people that are residing their always are involved with so many activities sing-along, etc. the environment looks absolutely wonderful! Tire of the activities director does a great job making sure that the residents have fun entertainers week in and week out!

We had a short time to find a welcoming, residential community for the matriarch of our family. As soon as we walked through the doors of N.S.P. our decision was made. The staff continues to impress us with the care and kindness they provide. They work as a team, with the resident being the captain. The variety of activities reminds us of summer camp; from current events, knitting, word games, art, movies to musical sing along. Learn a new skill and make new friends at the same time. The dining staff and meals are 5-Star. My husband summed it up perfectly when he said...MOM DESERVES THE BEST.

My parents moved back up to the midwest from Florida earlier this year, and we were looking for a place that not only fulfilled their daily requirements, but also had high quality food and a welcoming and warm environment. North Shore Place stood out versus the other options we considered with an ambiance that immediately made it feel comfortable and familiar, relative to the facility my mother had been living in, down in Boca Raton. We definitely made the right choice, and my parents are very pleased overall with their new home and community - highly recommend!

I’ve visited several assisted living places and NSP definitely stood out in a positive way. It was very clean, residents seemed happy, and they have a constant line up of fun activities and outings for the residents.

I provide monthly musical entertainment at North Shore Place. During each visit, I have been impressed with the quality of interactions between the team members and the residents. Tyler Carlborg (the Director of Resident Programs), Nelson, and various other team members treat the residents with friendliness, respect, and concern for their wellbeing. The environment is beautiful, cozy and clean. I have had conversations with numerous residents who have expressed to me that they are very satisfied with living there. All in all, North Shore Place seems to be a really nice place for senior living.

I have had stellar experiences with NorthShore Place - both as someone who had a loved one in memory care, and as a fitness instructor. The facility has a warm, compassionate staff and the accommodations and common areas are pristine. There are unlimited activities for the mind, body and soul. I give NSP five stars

My mother-in-law is doing very well since moving to North Shore Place over a year and a half ago. She has had some challenges and the staff has been great about tending to basic needs through a couple of crisis. We have every confidence that our loved one is cared for, as are all of the other residents from what we observe. North Shore Place does a fine job of helping the residents feel cared about, from a social standpoint, dining services, cleanliness and keeping the facility bright and clean. Staff is courteous and caring. We’re glad our loved one selected North Shore Place for all the above reasons.

One year ago, our father passed away. It’s taken me a while to wrap my arms around the fact that he is no longer with us and to write this. Dad was such a wonderful man and a blessing to have as a role model and patriarch to our family. He was my hero. Shortly after my mother passed away, my father decided to move to North Shore Place. My siblings and I considered another place that culturally would have been a good fit for him, but in the end, we felt North Shore Place had the appropriate level of care (nurse on every floor), was close to my brother and to me and was aesthetically beautiful. Of course we were not sure what the care would be like, so made it a point to be present as much as possible. In the end, I can say, that my father was well taken care of. The staff was responsive and our father acclimated nicely. One night, his nurse called me to let me know my father was cold and asked if I could bring another blanket the next day. It was 10:00pm and I lived close by so I hopped in my car and brought him the blanket that night. When I walked into his apartment and opened his bedroom door, I saw that he was already under two blankets and his winter coat (as an aside, it was not cold in the room). The nurses could not have been more kind and found a temporary fix for him. He was so cute when I opened the door and he called to me: Ifi? (my nickname). Hi Dad, I just wanted to bring you a blanket and say I love you. How I miss him and wish I could bring him a blanket again. But I can honestly say that we were blessed to have the wonderful care at NSP. They made our father feel safe and happy.

Top notch assisted-living community with friendly and dedicated staff! If you have a family member with special behavioral needs, though, you might find that they are not equipped for that. They kicked one of my clients out with one day’s notice!

Our father has been living at North Shore Place for a little over a year now, and he and our family couldn’t be happier. At age 92, he’s enjoying delicious meals, various activities including movies, singalongs, and chair volleyball, along with the additional healthcare needs he has at his age. He’s even made some new friends. Their staff, led by Executive Director Josh Anderson, Director of Hospitality Jeff Walls and Health & Wellness Director Ally Garner have been so attentive with our family’s various questions and proactive in identifying what our dad needs to stay healthy and fit and get the most out of his time there. This past year has posed tremendous challenges for the entire staff. Through it all, they’ve taken great precautions to keep the residents safe and well while maintaining a warm sense of community for everyone who lives there. We feel so fortunate knowing our father is in the perfect place with such devoted support to enjoy his golden years.

After 2 1/2 years of our Mom living there, my husband and I can truly give NSP a 5-star rating. They go above and beyond, immediately, to satisfy any issue you might have. As other reviews report, everyone working at NSP is kind, friendly, always helpful, competent, respectful, and outwardly happy to be working there. My more than 20 years of involvement with nursing homes, assisted and independent living facilities has given me a wide platform from which to compare. This facility is FABULOUS!! Thank you NSP..

The professional and friendly staff at North Shore Place reflects a commitment to making this assisted-living community a place you can trust. I'm very impressed with the care our mom received here and the range of activities that were available. The people who work there are so kind including the valet, the people at the front desk, the food staff, the maintenance team, physical therapists, occupational therapists, the activities team, and of course the nursing staff. As they say, it takes a village!
