As a beginner searching for a memory care unit for my dad, Kristyn Durre went over and above educating me and providing me with names of additional facilities to try. Even though Sugar Creek may not work out for my dad it sounds like a good place, especially if all the staff are like Kristyn.

Hello, I toured your facility several months ago . Christine met me at the door with a smile to warm us and chocolate chip cookies. She answered all of my questions, was kind and professional. I met all the managers and they gave me helpful information, more than any of the other facility had offered. The facility was clean and the workers were very friendly and could tell they worked hard. When it becomes time to place my loved one, Sugar Creek is where I would select. Thank you for your blessings to care for the residents.

If you are looking for a wonderful place for your loved ones you have found it. My grandmother was at Sugar Creek from fall-2024 until she passed away on August 7th of this year. During her time here she was cared for better than any of the places she had been previously. You could see that they truly valued and cared for their residents. The staff were so wonderful to my grandmother and it showed in the way she trusted and valued them during her most vulnerable moments as well. They were also so kind to our family while we visited her on hospice care. Letting us be there during such difficult time was so special to us. They provided us with resources, snacks to get us through, and always were beyond helpful with any questions or concerns we had. The facility is also very clean, well kept, and monitored very closely which we always appreciated. They also had fun events for residents and families as well. We are so thankful to have found Sugar Creek.

The staff there is wonderful my stepmom Eileen Carter just passed away last week. She’s been there for a year. They took great care of her and so did transitions hospice but not only taking care of her. They looked after my dad who was there almost every day and they were there at the end for him too. I got to witness it and I was there several times that is the place. I would totally recommend I was so glad he found that place the stuff there are so loving and kind. It’s like a family there and they treat you as their family.

Mom has been cared for by Sugar Creek staff for about a year now... Caring staff members, team work, positive attitudes, and communication have been my experience. They listen to my every suggestion or request and have never failed to follow up, usually above and beyond. The closed courtyard is coming along and quite the enjoyable space. I was there this afternoon and chef Bobby Ng had the whole place smelling like Sunday dinner! Mom seems comfortable and cheerful every time I visit. That's good peace of mind, especially considering I am an hour away. Thanks everyone at Sugar Creek!

Sugar Creek is an All-Inclusive Memory Care Center. Memory Care is all they do and the staff is trained to assist residents at all levels. Our family was able to meet with the Director and tour the center. The facility is modern, clean, bright and cheerful. They offer many activities every day for the residents. While our loved one was not able to move into Sugar Creek, our family had a very good experience working with Kristyn. Kristyn is very caring and professional. She is very knowledgeable about dementia and the disease process. Kristyn always followed-up with me when she said she would and always returned my calls. She worked well with our family and loved one to make the best decision for our loved one. If you have a loved one with dementia and are looking for places of residency, I recommend you call and speak with Kristyn at Sugar Creek in Normal, IL. She can be very helpful!

Sugar Creek Alzheimers Center is such a beautiful set up. It is so clean and well cared for. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable,friendly and truly caring of all the residents there and treat them like family. The staff is a phenomenal resource and it is so comforting to know how well tapped into their community they are. They truly care about your loved one and want what is best for them just like you do. My mom has been at sugar creek for 4 years now. This has been the best and safest place for mom. She participates in activities, has many friends, and gets all the care she needs. I love the friendly staff and the warm welcome I get when I go see mom.i couldn’t ask better place in a very hard time. The management team has high expectations for the care of their residents and you can tell by the care they receive.

Visited with Kristyn at sugar creek and even though we didn’t end up using their services because my father became bedridden and required other services, I was very impressed with the facility and she was extremely helpful, caring and answered all my questions.

We were so impressed after touring Sugar Creek. It has everything we could ask for in a care center. Clean rooms and good food. I have had several opportunities to visit Sugar Creek. Each time I'm there I am very impressed with the staff and their interactions with the residents. The team and the food are outstanding! They are very experienced with memory care and focus only on care for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients.

Both parents in here. They are safe, clean, have lots of activities, and staff is wonderful. Before I placed my parents there I played piano weekly for them and NEVER heard staff be nasty. Often they have no idea I’m listening or paying attention-it’s not a put-on. I drop by, my family drops by, unannounced, and we’ve never had any kind of problem. Great staff, really nice facility, wonderful rec director, and the staff are so nice. And, the price was excellent, especially compared to those in Oklahoma where parents moved from to live here. If there’s any issue-they call. And my parents can be a handful!!!!!
