My mom has been a resident at the cottages of new lenox for almost three years.. She has dementia and is in memory care. I am thankful for everyone at the cottages and the care that my mom receives. As she declines they are constantly finding ways to help her adjust. They are like family and I know they treat her as if she is part of their family. I rest easy knowing she is clean, fed, entertained, safe and most important loved there.

I want to tell EVERYONE about a great place for your loved one that may need a little help. The staff at Cottages of New Lenox are so kind and really look out for their residents. My mother in law struggled at two other facilities before she moved to the Cottages. She was very depressed and had given up on life. Now she is happy and her health and mobility have improved beyond what we hoped for.Thank you Scot for taking such wonderful care of our elders.

Hands down there is no better place for your loved one to be. The cottages of new lenox provides a loving family atmosphere. As a nurse myself, I hold care given to a very high degree and I would highly recommend the cottages to anyone who finds themselves in the situation of having to make the hard decision of putting someone you love into a facility. From Scot, the director of nursing to the nurses and CNAs who become like family, you will not find a better place to trust with your loved ones. It wasnt until I found the cottages of new lenox that I could be at peace with this difficult decision.

My name is Betty and my family placed my loved one at the Cottages of New Lenox recently. I live out of state now and I cannot be involved in their care, but the Cottages keep me up to date on their Facebook page. I have spoke with Scot, who is the Director of Nursing several times and he is very professional and truly cares about his job and the residents who live at the Cottages. Kallie who is the Marketing lady was our first impression. She did a phone conversation with our entire family the week before moving our loved one to the Cottages. She did an excellent job with our needy family. We recommend the cottages because they have kept her safe and comfortable during this crazy time.

The Cottages of New Lenox has so many dedicated staff members who work tirelessly to not just protect their residents from the virus, but to care for the emotional needs of both residents and families who are so stressed by the difficult but necessary restrictions. This Thanksgiving, I am thankful that my dear 96 yr-old aunt made the move to The Cottages of New Lenox in March, 2020. I have some loving partners there as along with other family members, I do my best to help her navigate this period of her life.

I live out of state and I am responsible for my elderly fathers well being; a very challenging role at times. I urgently needed to find a new home my father and was fortuneately referred to the cottages of New Lenox. The representatives I spoke with were extremely professional and understood my fathers needs and my concerns. They were able to immediately begin the transition of care of my father and his dog from his original facility to the Cottages of New Lenox with me being thousands of miles away.He has been in the care of the Cottages for several months now and I am very impressed with the care he is receiving and the staff at the Cottages of New Lenox. His past facilities were slow to respond to issues and were late with his medications or never dispensed them. At the cottages the staff to patient ratio is excellent and I am confidant he is given his medications on time. Communication with the RN and the Executive Director are phenomenal. I am very happy with the staff, the facility and the positive energy they bring to their work. Thank you all for what you do!

We could not be more comfortable with the decision we made for moms new home at The Cottages! As all nursing care facilities were challenged during this pandemic we were in need of a home quickly! We asked people for their recommendations and The Cottages kept coming up! What really stands out is their accessibility to the family during a time when we can not be with our mom! Alda the director reached out to me on a Sunday to answer some questions i had! Lainie the activity director-PR is the most caring human! Through this challenging process of finding a new home for our mom, The Cottages have done a remarkable job of taking care of her! We were very concerned about this transition. However everything went so smoothly. We were able to bring all her own furnishing and pictures for the walls. They have an amazing cook-chef that makes homemade meals. He just requested a meat smoker for the residents! They regularly have doggie visits! I can go on and on. Lets just say our mom loves it and so do we!

The Cottages of New Lenox has been very kind, caring and compassionate towards our loved one. They have kept us abreast of anything going on, brought us up to date on any issue. The staff treat everyone like family. I like the individual small buildings vs a big complex. Navigating the COVID health crisis has been an adjustment for all. They have always thought of the health and safety of the residents first.

Really enjoyed the time we spent at The Cottages. Tim O'Neil (The Director) was a pleasure to work with. In most cases, the care of your loved one is only as good as the day the caregiver is having. However, I see Tim's management, of The Cottages, as definitely raising the standards in the level of care and attention given to those we care about so deeply. I took my commitment to Jim seriously and was daily, very involved in his care. Through this, the staff became much like family. I have great respect for them and for the jobs they do. I wish I could name each one of them but I'm afraid I'll leave someone out so you know who you are when I say Thank you for your kindness and gentleness. When your time comes, to need the level of care that The Cottages offers, may you be met with the same care that you extended to Jim and I.

The Cottages of New Lenox helped us to make the transition for my MIL a positive experience. Tim ONeil and his staff celebrate all facets of senior life and make sure each and every resident has a multitude of opportunities to celebrate their life with engaging appropriate activities (thank you Michelle and Lainie). Not only is it wonderful to see our loved one come out of her shell and enjoy what time she has left, but also to see her anxiety greatly reduced about the drastic change in her lifestyle. The nursing staff is conscientious, compassionate and caring and makes sure each resident gets quality care. The care they exhibit is unmatched. We have found The Cottages to be unlike any other facility we visited and are glad to have this caliber of care close to our home. Thank you doesnt even do it justice.

I am so happy with the cottages. The culture is warm, inviting and welcoming. Plenty of great activities and staff really care. Culture always starts at the top. Tim Oneil does a tremendous job appreciating and celebrating the staff and it shows!

The Cottages of New Lenox is very interesting. They have cottages and each one has 10 residents. They do assisted living and memory care. They also have levels of memory care, so if a person is a slighter level of memory care, they'll put them in with an assisted living person who is kind of borderline too, so they have a mixing in some areas to see if one can help the other. I thought it was an interesting concept. The rooms are nice, and the facilities are very cozy. They have meals and activities.

My mom was at The Cottages of New Lenox for 10 days, and it was very expensive. The staff was excellent. The food smelled good. Her room was small with a window with a view of the bars from the fence. We had given them a little over $9,000, and she was only there for 10 days. They would not refund any money. They would not discuss anything about deposit in the future and told me that it was a community fee that we paid. I'm not very happy with the management, but it's a beautiful place, new, and clean, and the staff and personnel were very nice and helpful.

We chose The Cottages of New Lenox, and so far, its great for my grandmother. The size is perfect for her because its a small facility. The caregivers are wonderful. Any minor problems they have, they notify us immediately.

The Cottages was a lovely facility, and the people were great. The staff took a lot of time with us, answered all of our questions, and gave us references to go to other places if we needed to. It was a great place, but it just wasnt what my husband needed at that time. The staff was professional and caring, and it was a great place for the residents. It had a lot of activities.

My father is at The Cottages. There's five cottages, one is the regular care and not gated, the others were gated and for memory care. My father is in memory care. The room is an adequate and decent-sized room. They post the activities in the day room. The memory care is a secure area. They can improve on the food. My father had a hard time adjusting to the food. He's used to spicy foods. The facilities are very nice. It's got a big courtyard surrounded by the cottages, and they have the freedom to go outside and enjoy the outdoors. It's very clean. They don't seem like they're in a hospital and don't have elevators. It's all on one level. It's all-inclusive senior living. You don't get nickeled-and-dimed. They have an all-inclusive buffet where one price gets you everything. It's more open living.

Enjoyed visiting my Mum Amy Harris. She's been a resident since December. Very nice place and I think she's looking forward to the warmer weather so she can venture outside. They take good care of her.

We went to The Cottages of New Lenox. They were nice, but the price was a little bit too high for us. It was nice. Actually they had small groupings like one person for every six people; it was very small and hands-on. We like it, but it was a little bit too pricey for us. They keep them active everyday. They make them interact. Actually, they let them do whatever they were doing in their lives, so if they were cooking before, they let them cook. They really do well over there as well. Overall, it is a great place.

My mother is in The Cottages of New Lenox. The staffs are angels. They are above and beyond. She has been there for three weeks. The rooms are really nice. She has her own bedroom and her own bathroom. She has a little kitchenette type thing where there is a refrigerator, a microwave, and a kitchen sink. You bring your own furniture so it looks like your own room. The food is cooked right there on the premises. There are five cottages, and the cottage she lives in is where the cooking is done. They have a cook that does all the cooking for all the five cottages. Everything is fresh every day. They don't bring it in from a catering service. The dining room has little tables of six. They put two tables of four together. They have table cloths, and they serve with china and silverware. They also have a little centerpiece on the table. They play bingo, and they have arts and crafts. They were making their own Valentines cards while I was there. There are activities that keep them busy. It is all fenced in, and you need to know the code to get in to the outside gate. Each one of us has a little necklace that you wear, you touch it on the pad, and the door opens for you to get in and get out. If anybody in pushes the door to get out, the whole alarm system goes on, and everything locks down. It is very secure.

My mother-in-law is at Encore Senior Village, so everything is fine. She moved in there last November. It is just five minutes from our house. We could almost walk to it if we wanted to. They are small cottages and I like that. It is a new facility, only a couple years old. It is very well-organized and we like the people there. The residents are very nice. The staff is fabulous. We really like this place. My mother-in-law has her own room and her room is very nice. She has her own bathroom with a shower, a sink and toilet and they're all handicapped accessible. She can adjust the temperature in her room and it has a big window so that she can look outside. We were able to bring her own bed and her furniture, so that it looks like home to her.
