Bridle Brook is a beautiful facility to look at. The AL activity director is extremely diligent. Maintenance and dining were responsive to our resident's requests. Unfortunately, we experienced missing items, med errors and our resident found with dried vomit on her (in a state of medical emergency & I was told "it's shower day we were going to take care of that later") Then that particular staff member was given an assistant leadership position. The mngmnt (ED) is reactively diligent. Unfortunately, the lack of attention to detail (regarding a variety of differing situations) left us in a position where we could not trust we were getting what was promised. Corporate is trying to put things in place, in the best interest of the residents. Their 18 month pace has proven too slow. The nonworking/taping cameras is a huge concern. Led to several discrepancies, that could've been resolved, between upper level staff and family/our resident, if the cameras taped.

Bridlebrook is such a beautiful welcoming place that many call home; staff and residents alike. There are many rooms here designed with the thought of residents in mind to encourage engagement in socialization amongst other residents or family gatherings while being beautifully decorated to really capture its elegance. The food is absolutely amazing (come to a monthly social and see for yourself!). The staff are thoughtful and compassionate; truly taking the time to understand each person by their individuality developing a bond with each. Being here is my home away from home & I love it.

Mahomet is home to a beautiful facility not only for Assisted Living residents but also those needing Memory Care. The staff is caring, compassionate, and kind. The residents have 2 activity directors (one for Memory Care and one for Assisted Living) that provides engaging and fun activities and events. This facility has great meal options three times a day, a full library ( including many large print books), a hair salon, laundry and shuttle. We had a loved one there and had a great experience until God called her home. Thanks to the BridleBrook family. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I am the assisted living Activity Director here at Bridle Brook, and I absolutely love coming to work every day! We are lucky to have a phenomenal group of both residents and staff. I see so much love for our residents from staff members in every department, it’s truly heart warming. I also see a strong sense of community among the residents themselves. They welcome newcomers with open arms and are always excited to make new friends. They’re such an incredibly special group of people who care deeply about others. Everyone here is like a second family and I truly couldn’t imagine a better place to be ❤️

Taija is the Executive Director and I cannot express how amazing she is at providing the families clear communication and compassion, especially during the hospice conversation process. As a hospice provider it is reassuring to hear families tell me how prepared Taija made them prior to our consultation. She follows up with them and keeps us all on the same page of any changes or concerns. I am so happy there is someone like her advocating for the residents!

My Dad moved in two weeks ago. We looked at 6 different assisted living places and this was number 1 on our list. The staff has been very friendly and helpful, making the whole process smooth and easy. He commented the other day that the apartment feels like home now. As others have commented, the food is excellent. That's why I plan all my visits around lunchtime 🙂

Moving my mother-in-law from her home in Naperville to an assisted living unit was an incredible challenge in the midst of this pandemic. The Waterford people were absolutely wonderful (especially Allison in the front office) and worked with us every step of the way. She has now been in the facility for 4 weeks and has nothing but nice things to say about the staff and how friendly and helpful they all have been. Highly recommend the Waterford to anyone with assisted living or memory care needs. Update: Since the above was written Bridle Brook's parent company has gone into bankruptcy. Last we knew the facility was being run by a court appointed managemt agency, which is never good. Our mother-in-law is now in another place and all the people who originally helped us are gone. I would ask lots and lots of questions, especially about their ownship situation.

I recently visited a loved one at Bridle Brook. It was clean, the people that live there were friendly and smiling. I ran into a few employees that take care of my Great Aunt and they were so nice to her and very nice to me too! She keeps very busy there, so I had to fit in my time with her which I loved. I stayed for lunch and the food is really good. I highly recommend Bridle Brook; I am so happy my family decided to help my Great Aunt find such a wonderful place.

My Dad calls his apartment his "home" and is very happy there. He enjoys the food, the activities, the staff, and his fellow residents. My sister and I enjoy the fact that someone is there 24 hours a day should a need arise. There are a lot of choices for assisted living in the area. We think we made the right choice by choosing Bridle Brook.

I truly can not say enough superlative things about our experience, and I say this as someone with 10 years as a consultant in geriatric care. From administration to sales to nursing and on, everybody has been communicative, empathic, and clearly dedicated to the important task(s) of their positions. All facilities will have a few bumps & hiccups and it is important for family members to be involved in the lives of their loved ones and care decisions. The staff at Bridlebrook has been very receptive to suggestions and provide a warm, safe & caring home environment. Our experience with Bridle Brook has been amazing thus far. Looking for a safe community with happy, encouraging staff was our number one priority when choosing a new home for our parents. The decor is cheerful and soothing, activities and amenities were in align with what we knew our parents would enjoy (billiards room, good food, courtyard areas and ice cream!) and what would help them feel like this is their new home. From start to finish, Ashlie and the entire team at BB have been MORE than accommodating as well as understanding that not everyone involved was on board to make a change (even though medically necessary) when this decision needed to be made. We are grateful for their teamwork and vision as we start this new chapter.

It is a warm welcome, walking in the front lobby and throughout the community from the Billiards Room, Ice Cream Parlor (a popular room), 3 Courtyards (2-Assisted Living and 1-Memory Care), the food is delicious and a variety of different activities. I worked at bridle brook as a CNA from 2009-2014 and absolutely loved it! Everyone is so friendly and treats the residents like one of their own. I went to work at the hospital to get more experience and i came back to bridle brook as a nurse 2021 and still feel like its my home. The staff is so kind and so supportive. We all come together as a team and work through anything and have fun while doing so. Bridlebrook has been the perfect home for my dad. Although he is in perfect health and needs no assistance, it's great to know that he's amongst friends, has activities, good meals and treats. He gets his bed made and trash emptied daily, his apartment cleaned and laundry done weekly. What a blessing to know he's cared for. This way when I visit, I can be his daughter rather than caregiver. I love helping him, but would rather work a puzzle and visit, than do his laundry and clean! They have also kept all the residents free and clear, thus far, from COVID while we still get to visit every now and then (of course masked and at a safe distance, but at least we get to see each other). EXCELLENT PLACE!!!!

My mother moved into Bridle Brook nine months ago, and she just loves it! She wishes she had made the move sooner! The facility is clean and beautifully decorated, but more importantly, everyone is so friendly! The staff are all so caring and always happy to help with anything, whether it is to help get the VCR working in the movie room or to do some touch-up painting in her apartment. The monthly calendar is always filled with activities for the residents. Each week the residents have the option to take the bus to a restaurant for lunch. One week it might be Baxters, the next week Monicals or OCharleys, followed by a shopping trip to Walgreens. They play Bingo, Pinochle, Dominoes, and other board and card games. Guest speakers come in and talk to them as well. There are exercise classes, and some enjoy Wii bowling. There are church services and singing groups. They also do some crafts and baking. They even do wine and cheese before dinner on Fridays along with some trivia questions. My mother loves this! Some of the residents enjoy gardening in the courtyards; and if you visit, you will see pumpkins growing out there! There is something for everyone, and the wonderful activity director is always changing it up to see what piques the residents interests. My favorite is the once-a-month Family Social Night. Each month there is a theme (Circus, Mobster, etc.), and the food reflects the theme. They put up fun decorations, and some staff even dress the part! There is always live music on these nights. Family and friends are encouraged to attend, and its always an enjoyable evening for all! The residents themselves are just a joy! My mother moved in not knowing anyone as she moved down here from her home three hours north of here. The other residents were so welcoming, inviting her to play card games and just taking the time to talk with her. The facility itself has so much to offer. Besides the movie theater that anyone can use, there is a billiards table, an exercise room, a piano for the residents to play, a library with two computers the residents may use, and an ice cream shop open every afternoon. They also have a hairdresser on site. Cleaning of the apartment and laundry is included in the price. Furthermore, residents are given a life alert button in case they need help, and a podiatrist makes regular visits to the facility. And finally...the food! Yes, the food is great! My personal favorite is the lasagna; but if you dont like that or whatever it is they are serving that day, you can always order something else. I feel very fortunate that my mother is able to live at Bridle Brook as I know she is in a safe place with people that care about her, and she has plenty of activities to keep her mentally stimulated and engaged with others. We love Bridle Brook!!!❤

There are many opportunities I have to enjoy meals with my dad who is a resident at Bridle Brook. We really appreciate the wait staff in the dining room. They call each diner by name and are courteous and respectful. They have good interaction with the residents as they serve. They also remember the "regulars"; regularly ordered drinks, breakfasts, etc. Most are young people who appear to have been well trained and they sincerely seem to enjoy the people they are serving. It makes for a wonderful, personal experience. Thank you Bridle Brook!
