Find another facility this location is poorly managed. Don’t be confused many of the good ratings are from when this location was ARBORIA. IT HAS BEEN SOLD. They just lost another cook now there is no one. They can’t keep their billing correct. No Social Activities director any longer. The Temporary one is now working serving food. This location looses employees constantly and when we came to see our mother the front doors were open completely unsecured. Keep this place in your rear bite mirror.

Keep this place in your Rearview mirror. The new mentality here is less than desirable. Employees change line normal people change their socks. Now the Chef is leaving for numerous reasons on that’s to good quality and no help as needed. The Chef was the single longest person at this facility. Employees seem to leave on a CONSISTENT basis and assisted people are complaining about things they need to. This place has gone way down since it was Arboria. Some assisted people have already left and others are talking about leaving as well. They can’t even keep the dishwasher. Fruit is not juicy especially the oranges. This facility gets quantity not quality. I have been involved with this facility since when it was Arboria and it’s a shame what it has turned into. Find another place for your loved ones.

The facility is ok but the communication is poor. Changes are not always communicated clearly and when you have a question it takes days to weeks to receive a reply back which is very frustrating.

Keep this facility in your rear view mirror. When the prior stockholders were involved in this facility it was much better. In a recent meeting I advised management that if the front doors were left open past hours we would contact the local police to do a premises inspection. NO ONE was at the front desk. Employees leave and change at this facility like normal people change their socks. There is NO activities manager as they left Cleaning service personnel left and the new on site manager had created an atmosphere of NO communication and NO cooperation. This operation cannot still come close to near full occupancy and now another resident has given notice that they are leaving and going to another living facility. No operation is perfect but this operation is no where near tolerable. Now we were told the board of health had been called and came in notifying this business that they will be back with no prior notice. Place your loved one at another business. Food is now lower quality but it’s not due to the local cook. He is trying to do what he can to help. Now that just took away the free TV and residents will have to pay Direct TV. Less for more. Stay away.

My Mom moved into NP in February of 2023. She resides in Memory Care. I am so happy I found NP and sat with Kelly to gather all the information I needed to make the decision to move Mom. She was great about answering all of our questions. Got a tour and explanation of what all the different areas are used for. The nurses, and care givers are kind, and truly care about the resident's needs. All the staff takes time to know each resident's name and greet the families by name. Special events such as family BBQ's are a great way to meet other resident's families. So Happy we Mom moved to NP! 🙂

Thus facility has dropped considerably since the new ownership arrived. Current local mgmt has created an atmosphere of non communication no cooperation. Entry doors have been left open with no one at the front desk. They have been advised one more infraction and the local police will be called for a premises inspection report. Original ownership inspired cooperation from the residents good food plenty of social activities but no longer. Employees leave this facility as often as people change their socks. Food quality is worse but not due to the chef he does what he can. Keep this place in your rear view mirror there are better places to place your loved ones. Current director is useless and should not be in this kind of industry. Now we just hear that to lower their expenses this facility is installing a new telephone system and internet no longer free of charge. This is Not an inexpensive operation to begin with. You wound be smart to seek another facility.

My dad who has dementia and is blind has been in four different facilities because of the lack of sensitivity and care…….he is now in New Perspectives of long grove and by far it is stellar compared to the last four places… The caregivers are like family to him… they treat him with dignity and they love him .it makes me want to cry because this is my father and it means everything to me that he is well taken care of in these final years…..with his blindness and dementia and my great sadness seeing him diminish I can’t stress enough how important this is…. From the person that greets me when I walk into New Perspectives all the way to the physical therapists, the caregivers, Christopher the caregiver manager I give them a five star review!! I want to also acknowledge Maggie the manager of the activities department… she by far is a shining star in the position she is in. My dad laughs a lot when he’s with her and it was not that way at the other places he was in. This is his home until he goes to the big l home in the sky…… I also want to add this to the review as it just happened today, but they have a wonderful transportation service that takes my dad to the doctor and Christopher The care Giver manager sat with me the whole time held my dad‘s hand (because he’s blind with dementia) and comforted him while my dad was getting his skin cancer removed, these are things I will never forget I highly recommend new perspective Long Grove to anyone that wants to make sure their loved ones are in the best hands

My Mom moved here about a month ago. We are all very happy she is here. The staff is all friendly, caring, and always paying attention to the residents. My Mom is in Memory Care. That small community of residents are getting great care. Thanks!

This has been a very pleasant experience for my 100 year old mother and our family. Isabelle, the receptionist, is the perfect person to greet visitors. Her knowledge and willingness to assist whenever she can makes families feel welcomed and valued. My mother is treated with dignity and respect. On the few occasions of miscommunication the staff have responded in a timely manner. I would have no trouble recommending New Perspective to families looking for a quality assisted living environment.

My mother was only at Arboria for a little while before she died, but we found the staff to be caring and very responsive to her needs. I highly recommend Arboria to those looking for assisted living arrangements.

in comparison to 4 other Assisted Living Facilities weve visited, Arboria is more than 5 star. Their CNAs despite serving several wing, units , are very responsive to residents needs, theyre congenial and goes beyond their duties . In fact they check and ask how else they can serve you every after task . Thanks to their Team Lead Rommel. Over all in terms of cleanliness to order to design of their rooms, healthcare supplies to even food are above expectations ... and their Nurses are superb .. kudos to Maui and Carol for their exemplary care and always wearing a smile to the residents . Auberge of Highland Park, Summit of Uptown , Park Ridge, Northbrook Inn and even Sheridan of Green Oaks should learn from Arboria of Long Grove how to effectively manage a facility , theyre work systems are so obvious in contrast with these facilities . May Arboria continue and sustain these great facility attributes !!

Our, mother, has been living at Arboria of Long Grove for over two years now. We are so happy with the great care she gets there. Multiple staff look after her daily. The front desk, the nurse, the on-site Doctor, the cleaning staff, Bistro person (yes, they have their own Bistro) and of course their own Handy-man to fix and repair whats needed in her room. These are very special people who love what they do for our loved one and are the internal First Responders that assist her with her needs. These highly trained Professionals who act like normal people but understand the responsibility they carry with them everyday. Knowing this gives us the confidence and peace we need to make sure Mom is a-ok. They also make us feel like we belong and our visits are always a positive experience. They make great cookies for all to enjoy! We visit often each week but we cannot cover all of her needs. The staff is very attentive to her needs and contacts us to communicate any issues they might discover - a fall, illness, cold, misplaced medications, etc. We can live our lives knowing shes safe and healthy. Shes loves the food there as well as the many activities they plan so the days are filled with elective opportunities to get out of their rooms and interact or just participate in Arts & Crafts, Bingo, Card games or watching a movie from their younger days or live music by professionals - Elvis is our favorite! They go on road trips to the Dollar Store or to go out for lunch. During this Covid-19 crises the email communications have been on-going and very positive in-light of visiting restrictions Arboria designed to protect the residents and the staff there. The statistics of Covid-19 illness at Arboria has been minimal and again gives us great confidence and peace knowing our Mom is safe! I apologize for the length of this testimonial but I could actually go on further. Finally, Arboria of Long Grove wasnt a good or satisfactory choice to make for our family, it was the Best Choice!! Arboria is people loving people. Ive visited several times and each time I encounter happy staff, happy residents, happy families visiting and a bustling environment where the offerings always make me wish I could join in. Once while there to provide a service, a gentleman passed by looking in on the room full of participants. An employee jumped up and went out to tell him what was going on and to invite him in, RSVP went out the window when it came to inclusion. Not only that but when he said hed like his wife to come too, the employee got him situated and left to bring his wife in as well. The whole group was welcoming and joyful. What a fabulous addition to the Long Grove community! Go Arboria! You are doing it right!!

While searching for assisted living, memory care for my grandmother, I came across Arboria of Long Grove. We ultimately selected a different facility just due to location but I cannot say enough good things about the staff and facility. While touring I was beyond impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of every single person from the Director to the CNAs that work directly with the residents. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The apartments are spacious, the amenities are sure to be enjoyed by residents and the care seemed impeccable. It is obvious that the folks at Arboria actually care for and have a personal interest in each resident. I would highly recommend considering this facility!
