Love this place. Been here for about a month and love it. Staff are fabulous and show lots of love. Some names I would like to give a shout-out that include Jessica, Stanley, Rebecca, Brenda, Sharon, Patricia, Matty, Debi, Duke,Chris, and Anna along with many others for excellence. To be honest their isn't a bad apple in the bunch. Another thing I love are the wonderful residence that I have had an opportunity to live with. If you are looking for a nursing home/assisted living/ rehab center for your loved one, look no further.

02/10/2026 I drove to go visit a friend staying at Serenity assisted living facility. The CNA nurses were treating another guest horrible. 3 CNA were abusing and neglecting and mis respecting an elder resident of the Serenity assisted living. The elder are staying here to obtain assistance not to be abused or be bullied. It's heart breaking to see 3 older adults mis treating a senior citizen who probably has done a lot for this country. It's so sad we put all our trust in these facilities to care and protect our parents and grandparent and they are being abused. With all the money these facilities are charging they need to do more caring for our family not abuse our family members. If the CNA don't like their jobs, go work at MC Donalds or Burger KING. I was told by my guest that the other day another CNA threw a cup of milk at a table with 3 guests sitting down during lunch or breakfast time. For more information call me anytime 2248189794.

Lesly Brook and her incredible team at Serenity Estates stepped in during a very difficult moment not just for one of the families we support, but for me personally as well. The family was in crisis and needed to move their loved one out of another facility immediately. While I was navigating my own personal challenges that day, Lesly handled everything with such grace, empathy, and efficiency. The transition happened the very same day and was completely seamless. Her calm presence and ability to take charge not only made the family feel supported, but also lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. I recently visited Serenity with a friend of mine that has her mom at this facility. It is very nice and clean. Her mom said that the staff is really nice to her and is really enjoying her stay until she’s able to go back home.

I visited the Wealshire this past Tuesday as I was searching for a place for my Mom. I immediately fell in love with the staff and signed her up right then. I moved her in the next day. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. They all went above and beyond to make this transition for her a pleasant one. The care is absolutely incredible. My Mom says she feels like a princess! I can honestly say I’ve slept better the past few nights knowing that she’s in great hands. I highly recommend Wealshire in Lincolnshire.

Today my mother passed away after getting great care at Wealshire. I couldn't be happier with the entire staff. They have a very hard job and somehow someway they are always throwing a smile your way. I made friends with other residents and staff. I will be back visiting soon. I have had a very pleasant experience at Wealshire. I have been here for rehab after hip replacement. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable my physical therapist Ryan is patient and very caring. My occupational therapist Anna Rose is also great. I’ve also worked with James when Anna Rose was not working. They are all wonderful and patient and so helpful. I am 74 and so thankful to them and the staff. My cna have all been kind. Special shout out to Adiline and Jay and Vincent and Bobby and Jean. All helpful. I also had the pleasure of having Maria come take my blood pressure. She is beyond kind and helpful Wound nurse lovely In a very difficult time for me they have all made my stay much better than I could have anticipated.

My husband had a couple hospitalizations and had to have rehab done so he could come home and be safe. We chose The Wealshire and I couldn't have made a better choice! My mother has spent 2 happy years in the Sheltered Assisted Living section of The Wealshire in Lincolnshire. Of course, at first, my family was anxious, hesitant and emotional in executing this transition. We are very pleased to say that the transition was smooth and painless and she had been so happy and content there . The staff and administrators are so kind, considerate and so very helpful. All of my mothers needs are met in a supportive and compassionate manner. The Wealshire is clean, cheerful and comforting. We know my mother is well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The Wealshire has been home and a loving family to my parents for the past three months. Following a serious foot surgery, my father needed a place where he could rehab and stay with my mother, his wife of 73 years, as they grieved the loss of my brother. The Wealshire opened their arms to my parents, providing them a beautiful suite where they could be together as they grieved and my Dad recovered. The staff at The Wealshire provided constant loving care, expert wound service, three delicious hot meals each day, regular cleaning and laundry service, and kind companionship. Communication with the administration at The Wealshire was always responsive and timely. They did everything we asked without hesitation, even if it meant an adjustment to their normal procedures. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and administration at The Wealshire. They became close friends to my parents and our family. They gave my parents their life back and our family will be forever grateful! Leaving The Wealshire is bitter sweet. My father is physically healed and ready to move forward to a regular senior apartment, but we will all miss the good friends and the security of excellent care received at The Wealshire. Thank you Wealshire! You deserve a 5-star rating!!!

My mother had difficult surgery last year and has received a high level of care since arriving at Wealshire. The medical, nursing and rehab staff are all knowledgeable, caring and concerned about the residents. It helps that the staff attempts to get to know the patient on a personal level as well. Wealshire has made my mom’s difficult situation as easy as it can be for her and our family.

Strong, passionate, team of professionals have done such a great job turning this place around in just 5 short months! The nursing care is phenomenal, therapy is top notch! They provide specialists for wounds, pulmonary deficits, cardiac deficits, memory care. You name it! A holistic approach to Geriatric rehab for short term as well as for long term care. If you or your loved one are in need of senior care, I highly recommend Wealshire Center of Excellence!

My father has been in your Respite Care for a month. At first, my family was all very anxious including Dad, not sure if he will like/enjoy staying there. But we were so pleased to say the transition was very smooth, the accommodation and the care given to him by the Executive Director, MD, all the Nursing Staff, dietary, housekeeping, activity director, etc.( if I forget someone) were very kind, helpful and very considerate. He was treated with dignity and respect and well cared for. He said " I can always go to Wellshire". I found Welshire to be a nice facility and my mother seemed to like her stay there. The staff was very friendly and my mother enjoyed her relationship with the nurses and CNA’s, especially Josie and Rosa. The facility appeared to be understaffed at times, but the on duty employees seemed to be very caring and did their best to meet the patients needs.

If you’re reading this, you’ve decided it’s time to place a loved one in a facility as caring for them at home is becoming increasingly difficult or a loved one is already in a facility that you’re dissatisfied with. Look no further-this is the place. When caring for my dad at home became nearly impossible and really no longer the best option for either of us, I placed him in a facility and removed him two days later. Details are unnecessary. I brought him home, tried again, then, after a few months, moved him into a brand new place very near my home. It was a beautiful building with beautiful patios and landscaping, gardens and a meditation room. Things went well because I was there every single day bathing him, picking up his room, cleaning his washroom, doing his laundry, etc. I never once walked in and found my dad or his room in a condition which could be reasonably expected. I thought perhaps I was too picky or that this was just how it goes. He was there for 15 months when the pandemic hit and I had no access. Within four months he was hospitalized with an awful overlooked, undiscovered, untreated, very avoidable infection. He required a short nursing home stay post-hospitalization. I rejected a couple of nursing home options and told the hospital social worker that I wanted him in a great place regardless of location. She thankfully sent him to Warren Barr and then two weeks later I decided to move him next door to The Wellshire. I was just really grateful to have found a new facility as returning to the previous one was not an option. But it was terrifying. I had never been inside and my dad was being thrown into a completely new home with unfamiliar people and only limited outdoor family visits due to COVID. I needn’t have worried. He has lived at The Wellshire for the last eight months and he’s never been better cared for or more medically stable. All achieved without the help of family and along with the extra burdens imposed by the pandemic. His hygiene is impeccable. His face is always shaved and his gorgeous white hair is always clean. His white t-shirts are always perfect. They even wash his jackets and blankets. This obvious basic care is not a given at all facilities. The medical staff is always quick to identify and address any health concerns. They have many available doctors or very willingly work with outside doctors and the VA. They have afforded as much visitation as is safely possible. There is a landline in his room which he is usually able to answer or he dials 0 to get the switchboard girl (lady at the front desk) who places his call for him. Their efforts have assisted us in maintaining our bond despite physical separation. My dad tells me that he gets very good service! He is treated with dignity and respect. Great attention is given to keep him engaged and social. Every single employee from front desk, nurses, CNAs, and activity staff treat him like family. The Wellshire is 22 miles from my home and I’m happy to drive every single one of them. I have such peace knowing that he’s in such capable hands.

This facility has been taken over by a corporation 4 months ago and has changed radically. During the tours, make sure you get their promises in writing. Food is marginal, CNA staff is good, but new owners have bumped it to 14:1 ratio in assisted living area making it difficult for them to provide the level of attention other facilities in the area can do for the price.

The Wealshire staff that cares for the patients is exceptional. The back office and billing system is a completely different story, it is horrific at best! The back office staff cannot seem to reconcile accounts between the two businesses (the Ponds and The Wealshire). I personally met with their staff 5 times to explain and have them correct my mother's account, this is in addition to numerous phone calls. They need to hire someone that understands a back office and billing procedures.

It is the staff. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and well maintained and the accommodations are comfortable and homey. But it is the well trained and experienced long time stall that earns The Wealshire five stars. These folks are caring and are concerned about your wellbeing. Professionalism counts. And this fine level of service continues through the weekends. My husband and I have lived in two other assisted living facilities and I speak from that experience. Nothing compares to The Wealshire.

Back in October 2013 I had a left knee replacement and chose The Wealshire,as it was close to home and looked impressive from the outside. From our first meeting with the Director and the Owner of the facility, before my surgery, my husband and I were impressed with their knowledge, honesty and overall concern for their residents. The tour offered an incite into their splendid, neat and efficient facility and their dedication to treat all residents with the care and dignity they expect and deserve. The owner actually knows the residents by name! His ability to hire appropriate personnel is unsurpassed. I was a resident for 20 days and the staff there could not have been more kind or more helpful. From the head nurses on duty (at all hours of the day) to the cleaning staff and all in between the experience was exceptional and I left The Wealshire confident in my recovery. I am now facing my other knee replacement and I look forward to staying at the Wealshire, if they'll have me. Barbara Dini from Deerfield.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
