If you are looking for a caring place for your loved one, I highly recommend Eden Vista Rock Run in Joliet. My aunt was a resident of the assisted living facility for over four years and recently transitioned to memory care. During her time in assisted living she was treated so well by the compassionate care givers. Rock Run provided her with numerous activities, meals and a social experience she needed. More importantly, when it came time for the move to the memory care facility the staff worked with me to guide me along the way. The transition was not easy for my aunt, or me, but I truly know she is in the best place. While EVERYONE I have met at Rock Run is caring and compassionate, I would love to give a shout out specifically to Michele (Director of Nursing) and Karen (Asst. Exec. Director). Their guidance during the difficult time of moving a loved one from assisted living to memory care was invaluable. I could never have done this without their help. They listened and walked with me every step of the way. When situations or questions arose, they were always a phone call or e-mail away. My calls were answered quickly and e-mails answered promptly, even on their day off. If you are considering moving a loved one to assisted living or memory care, I hope you will consider looking at Eden Vista Rock Run.

I gave this place two stars because the previous administration ( Patricia and Chayse were terrific but since their leaving the care has taken a nosedive! After coming back from a rehab stay somewhere else I was back for 8 days and had never seen the new director of nursing but she sent a worker to take pictures of my room and called my daughter to yell about all of the things I needed but my visiting nurse said we’re not needed. She wanted us to buy or rent things through her contact at exorbitant prices. CNA’s were the only good thing there. Fanny and Augustine were the best CNAs. Nurses Maria and Mimi were very responsive. Food was bland with too many meals with unseasoned rice. Cloth napkins were washed but had terrible grease stains and dining staff was not responsive to diners requests. I started ordering groceries and eating in my room. I was also a resident at the sister facility where food was better but physical therapy was not responsive to my needs. Broke both leg bones at ankle while at Burr Ridge.. looking for a new place because I won’t go back to Eden vista facilities.

I visited this facility with my group to volunteer and spend time with the residents, and the experience was outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how beautiful, clean, and welcoming the environment was. The staff was friendly and warm, and the administrator Patricia, even reached out personally to thank us for spending our Saturday with their residents. We had a wonderful time with the residents, they even taught us a new way to play bingo, which we loved. I want to give a special thank-you to Robby, the Activity Director, setting up this special day and for his kindness and enthusiasm, and to Patricia for her kindness as well. Their hospitality made our visit truly memorable. It was our pleasure to hang out with the residents Thank you from Giza Supreme Grand Court of Honor.

We looked at a number of facilities, but Eden Vista was the best of them all. Eden Vista’s staff is friendly and efficient. Agnes, Mom’s nurse, is attentive to all Mom’s needs. She goes beyond her assigned duties by helping Mom with toileting. Louann, Activity Aide, is creative and energetic. The dining room staff assists any resident who can not feed themselves. Eden Vista is a great facility for any senior needing a caring place to live.

I’ve been at Eden Vista Joliet for almost two months. I’m here for rehabilitation and learning how to walk again and the Physical Therapy has been very productive. During the stay, the health care associates have treated me with kindness and care. Additionally, the accommodations and food have been very good. In addition to the previous comments, there have been several people on the team that always seem to go out of their way to help and assist however they are able. One person in particular has amazed me with all the areas she supports the staff. I’m not really sure of her title/position but I’ve seen her involved in scheduling, food service, activities, hiring and training, physical therapy, CNA type activities and so much more. I’m talking about Betsy and she is truly one of the stars that makes Eden Vista Rock Run a great facility.

From the moment we entered the facility we were greeted with pleasant and professional staff members which helped us through the process of the relocation of the relatives. Patricia, Sherry, and Caitlin and the nutsing staff have helped us from day one through today with their loving attitudes regarding the residents of this facility. Caitlin is truly an asset to this center as I cannot begin to explain how comforting and helpful she's been with us. When the nurse came to our home for the evaluation, we were nervous and emotional, but she treated my mom with such tenderness and respect that it felt like the first real sign we were making the right choice. What has truly stood out since then is how available and responsive they are. Anytime we’ve had a question, concern, or just needed to check in, Chayse is there to answer the phone or respond quickly. You’re never made to feel like a burden”they truly want to help and keep communication open. That level of accessibility is rare, and it means the world to us. Eden Vista isn’t just a facility”it’s a home. A home filled with people who genuinely care. The staff go above and beyond, not only for the residents, but for families like ours who are navigating this difficult time. The food is great, the activities are meaningful, and most importantly, the care is exceptional. Knowing my mom is safe, supported, and loved”even on the hard days”means everything. Eden Vista gave us more than a place for her to live; they gave us peace of mind, and gave my mom a new home where she is truly valued.

My review is regarding the wonderful care Eden Vista Rock Run Memory Care, Joliet, IL provides for my brother, Bill and family. Walking through their doors is like visiting my extended family. From the friendly greeting from the Concierge Caitlin to all the nurses and care givers my heart opens at every turn. My brother Bill, has dementia and is treated with respect and dignity in every way possible. He is so happy in his new home dancing at times with his girl "Sandy", to walking the halls with smiles galore. Haircuts were a challenge but, Joan has provided his experience as fun with laughs. The nurses are amazing, my first contact was with Agnes helping me with my many questions. I'm always kept up to date on his care and possible concerns. Activities is also a challenge with Bill but LuAnn and Robbie seem to find ways to entice him into joining the group. My visits are always enjoyable seeing other residents and thinking how lucky they are to be a part of this community. Eden Vista Rock Run has my heart. My mother lives at Rock Run Memory Care. It's approaching a month and I am delighted with the experience. Mom is a different person. She's got some of her old magic back. We did a lot of diligence and took our time before choosing Rock Run and it has exceeded my expectations. My sister and I independently had the same initial conclusion upon completing the first visit. There was a different vibe about Rock Run. It's clean and bright. It felt more like a community than an institution. It feels more alive. There seems to be a strong personable connection between and among staff and residents. It's like a family. The activities are amazing. Other facilities had activities, but the choices at Rock Run seemed to be more something Mom would get in to. We imagined she might passively watch some activities and would have considered that a win, but she jumps right in. Indeed, the activities were a definite swing factor in our choice of Rock Run. We want to maximize Mom's life. We did a lot of research to get here. My sister and I canvassed friends, neighbors, and coworkers for their experiences and recommendations. I searched the online reviews (knowing the most dissatisfied are also the most outspoken). We also wanted a different perspective from the medical community, so we also got recommendations from a physical therapist and a hospice nurse who visited facilities. Recommendations converged and we narrowed in on 3 candidates and 2 alternates. I called these facilities and had about an hour initial discussion with each on the phone. Then we visited the top contenders. My sister and I separately digested and we came back with the same conclusions. I questioned if we had just caught some facilities at non-optimal times, and we revisited the top two choices targeting areas we wanted a second peek at. The second visits reinforced our initial conclusions. I asked to meet with some resident's families and they were quite pleased. Some had experience with other facilities and chose to move their loved ones to Rock Run. Our second choice would have been good care, but Rock Run is outstanding. The secret sauce at any Memory Care is the staff. At fear of leaving out many (as some are still faces without names) here are some of the stars: Amanda - guided the journey Sherry, Ronna, Susie, Shay (Nursing staff, so many names to remember) Robbie and Luanne - 2 forces of nature in activities. My mother has been a resident at Trustwell Rock Run memory care since December 1, 2023. I moved my mother out of a facility that I was paying incredibly more for where her care was absolutely miserable in a facilty that smelled of urine . Trustwell provides excellent personalized patient care in a well maintained facility. It was the only facility that I found that uses motion detectiors to prevent falls which was a monthly occurrence at her previous facility. I wholeheartedly reccomend Trustwell Rock Run for your loved ones.

I think it is now for persons who need quite a bit of help. About 20 years ago when my aunt was in this facility it was for people who needed very little assist. They could come and go on their own. Most were ambulatory without walkers. Times have changed. Employees could answer the phone saying Rock Run Place so a caller knows they haven’t gotten a wrong number. All they say is hello.

My 94 year old aunt who is legally blind has received care from Rock Run for about a year and a half. I have found the staff to be caring, professional, compassionate and competent with her care. I trust she is getting the best care she can get. I have always been able to communicate with staff, nursing etc with positive results. Though she herself chooses not to participate, the facility offers many activities for the residents and ensure safety awareness with surroundings along with the Covid restrictions where applicable which can be challenging. I feel I can work with management with care adjustments as needed and they work with family concerns for positive outcomes. The rooms are spacious and very nice as well. There are a few different sizes depending on availability however we did not experience problems when my aunt needed to downsize. Overall this is a very good facility.
