I have had my mother in another senior community, but wasn’t happy with the food or the activities they offered. When my mother moved into Solstice about 1 year ago we were welcomed by the staff and it feels like a home. My mother loves the food and transportation that is offered. She loves playing cards and has made several new friends. We are very happy with the services this community provides.

This community is an absolute gem! Residents are able to maintain their privacy and independence while having wonderful amenities including meals, housekeeping, transportation, and activities. Some residents also utilize private caregiving or outpatient therapy services as needed. Solstice has a great atmosphere. The community truly feels like a family.

My grandmother & I came in last Saturday for a tour with Laurie She did a great job explaining everything to us and showed us around. The facility is gorgeous and the staff very friendly. We ate lunch. The spaghetti tasted just like my grandmothers recipe. The residents came up to our table to welcome us. The facility was very clean and front desk very friendly. My grandmother plans on moving in next month. What a beautiful place.

What a wonderful facility. I was hesitant about what to expect, but the new woman, Julie, who showed us the place couldn’t have been more welcoming and lovely. The people who live there are also very pleasant since I met bunches of them on our visit. For being there only a couple of weeks, she really sold me on the place. Now it’s just me trying to convince my brother to simply look at it. I know once he meets her, the employees and residents, his hesitation will lessen !!! Fingers crossed

Along the way I was introduced to Kourtnie who also made me feel at home. The community was absolutely clean, and I felt very safe. All the other staff members I encountered were extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. I know this community is the one for me.

So besides the fact that the staff is friendly and are good problem solvers; they have worked tirelessly to maintain a CoVid-19 free community! They are following health professionals guidelines to keep residents safe.This makes me sleep better at night because I love my family that live in that community. I would give more stars for some of the friendly staff, but unfortunately I can’t give more stars due to the lack of care for the elders. I have personally requested that the facility needs workers on the clock 24 hours, it’s a lot that the elders will not say, but I’ve also heard from some of them that the food is not often good or they not getting what’s on the menu, due to last minute changes of the menu. Now with COVID-19 the residents were more confined to their rooms some of them have been lonely for their family. But I understand nothing can be done about that. But the price $$$$$ they pay to live hear is terrible and something need to be done to give them more excitement for life, instead of a piece of paper for a puzzle everyday. They used to have a activity aid and the elders that didn’t mind socializing would come out and listen to music, have their snacks and enjoy. Now I hardly see any of the usual people, but only the ones that are able to walk around well. Soltice you’ll need to figure out a good strategy for the price you’ll have them pay. Shame!

I contacted Solstice during COVID 19 and requested info and a virtual tour. I also called a couple of times because of missed calls due to reception issues in my home and the staff were friendly and helpful. I spoke with Cortney and she was warm, understanding, kind, and professional. She listen , thoroughly explained there services than took me on a virtual tour. I explained the final decision would be based on my loved ones opinion once we are able to visit (I live in California) and DH said she would email additional info to help us with that decision once the time came. This was a very good experience during a difficult time. Solstice is high on the list because of Cortney and her honest and caring approach.

I believe the staff to have the best intentions, however, I do not feel the same about corporate that is calling the shots. The staffing is down from when I moved my mom here with staff holding multiple job roles. Rent was just increased while they announced a cut to the transportation to short hours only three days a week and the food is not near as good as it was. Its weird that they were touting a "new" bus, while cutting the hours for residents use of it. December 2017 I would have left a 5 star.
