I strongly encourage families considering Waterford for a loved one to exercise extreme caution. Our family had a deeply troubling experience with Waterford's management, communication, and placement process. Despite going through the application process for the supportive care floors to meet my father’s health and mobility needs, the facility placed him in a unit on the independent living floor instead. To make matters worse, despite his limited mobility, he was assigned a unit at the very end of a long hallway, creating an unnecessary daily physical burden. Throughout his stay, communication from staff and management was virtually nonexistent. Getting basic updates, coordination, or clear answers was an uphill battle. Moving a family member into a community requires trust, clear communication, and a basic duty of care. Waterford failed on all counts. Save your family the stress by choosing a facility that genuinely prioritizes resident safety and responsive management.

This illustrious and royal complex is exquisite and immensely functional!! The amenities are FIRST CLASS!! When you become a resident you IMMEDIATELY experience life in the Winner’s Circle! Cecilia Williamson and Ashley Brown are EXTREMELY SKILLED,THOUGHTFUL, KIND, FRIENDLY, RESPONSIVE, RESPECTABLE, PATIENT, and make you feel like family. They both take their roles seriously and constantly/consistently go above and beyond what’s required to ensure that the residents as well as their families are fully engaged and equipped from touring the complex to the application process to moving in. I was a fortune 100 corporate executive in excess of 40 years and have yet to witness integrity, tenacity, and honesty on their level. In a word, Cecilia, Ashley, and the establishment are EPIC! BRAVO! ‘ My family member will experience unfathomable joy as a resident. I am also a Pastor and I know when God’s Hand and Anointing are on an establishment, and without a doubt God has smiled on Waterford Estates of Hazel Crest, Illinois! God Bless!!

I have been in the building many times over the last few years, and pleased to report that the new management under ED Ava is taking the right steps to make the building warm and welcoming for seniors and families. I see the staff and residents seem happy, and everyone is helpful, including the front desk staff, Laneye.

My mother in law is in the memory care unit and has been there for over 4 years. It is always clean and the staff is very friendly and caring. The activity director has been arranging parties and gatherings for the residents and their families and it has always been wonderful- every detail from decorations to food is taken care of with music to set the mood!

What was once a 5-star, beautiful facility with accommodations for independent living, assisted living, and memory care has deteriorated into a 1-star, unsafe, unsanitary, and poorly managed, pest-infested community where seniors are treated with disregard and disrespect by management.

Waterford Estates Senior Living, floors have bed bugs, right now. They moved my mother-in-law out of her room temporarily a week ago to exterminate and she got bit again last night! There is no responsible person to speak to and the desk staff just put you in voicemail. ILDOPH needs to investigate and inspect this facility right away. I know they're others being bitten! Please help our elderly!

Waterford Estates is a very lovely place to live,even if it's just short term.They have a lot of things your love one can participate in. The staff is lovely and friendly the building is clean.I'm bringing My mother there for respite care. I didn't know exactly how to go about it but,when I spoke to Miss Julie she explained everything to me she is so friendly and warm she broke everything down to me and my mother where is that we understood it. We even took a tour of the building and my mother enjoyed it she loves this place.I highly recommended place

At Waterford Estates Independent Living in Hazel Crest the management and staff were wonderful and very helpful in assisting clients with their daily needs. It gives you a sense of hope and being at home outside your home, and there is no better feeling than being at home. Thanks to Julie Ryan many clients that I assisted with their move were satisfied with their new place of residency.

Very friendly staff and plenty of activities for the residents. However, badly in need of updated appliances, new carpeting and a paint job is in order. The carpet was very old and nasty and the appliances are very old.

A friendly placeto live and visit. Very. One suggestion however. Was very disappointed in the condition of the basement storage room key. It was grimy and dirty and tacky . Believe many germs are transmitted from it. Maybe it should be antibacterial wiped when returned. I used the B key. I don’t know about the A key. I personally took it to my sisters room and washed it. FYI

Waterford Estates is a wonderful Senior Living facility. We are impressed with the staff, the facility itself, and what it offers there. The staff is easy to work with. They are all so friendly and helpful. When we moved my sister into her apartment, there was a small table outside her door with a framed welcome sign. The food is good and there are many activities for the residents. I have yet to meet a resident who isn't happy. I highly recommend Waterford Estates!

Love the new sign in system and how it takes your temperature at the front desk. The front desk receptionist CeCe is so kind and helpful. The front of the building where people get dropped off and picked up needs to be widen so more vehicles can pull up. When someone pulls up to curb and leaves the car parked there so they can go inside to get their loved ones other people are waiting so there ride can pull up. Just a suggestion

Dining Room - Easter Box Supper Menu (printed) for 4/44/21 Egg Salad Sandwich, Chips, Fruit and Dessert. Resident received a sandwich and small can of soda. This is unsatisfactory. The Easter dinner of ham and sides was enjoyed. Activities - When you offer activities, have activities. Even if only a few show up have something to do for those who show up.

Recently I submitted a post regarding items that had been stolen from my God-mother's apartment while she was in transition and also items taken after she passed. I was very upset with the behavior that occurred on the premises. I now know that the individuals who removed those items were not employees of Waterford Estates, but on-site contract employees. I would like to take this time to apologize to Waterford. Jenna, the Executive Director, informed me through her investigation that she was able to retrieve all of the items stolen from the room for me. I am eternally grateful to Waterford and Jenna for their efforts. My family greatly appreciates your diligence and tenacity in recovering those items during this difficult time. Thanks again.

I like Waterford Estates, the atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. I moved my brother in 8/21/17, no problems, he likes it. I have co-workers and friends who have relatives there and they love it.

Waterford Estates has proven to be a perfect fit for my sister-in-law. She has been on the memory floor for over eight months. The staff as well as the administration have been there to help her every step of the way. No matter the situation,the concern and care is always of primary importance to the staff.They give her comfort in that she feels they are her extended family.

My father has been living in the Memory Care community, Reflections, for a year. The atmosphere of the facility is cheerful, decorated with bright colors and residents walk around freely within the secure premises. The knowledgeable staff recognizes the distinctive behaviors and personalities of all the residents. This recognition of each individual’s needs has provided me the comfort to know that Dad is treated well and cared for. The staff provides my dad with structure, fun activities and choice. The staff provides me with guidance, updates on dad’s condition, laughter and hugs. Reflections’ highly trained personnel is our extended family. My Dad feels like he is at home and tells me frequently I like this place.
