Excellent care. In my experience the staff go above and beyond. The admin staff have been really helpful in trying to sort out future accommodation, the therapists have got me much better physically, the activities people know how to get you involved and the nursing staff (RN & CNA) have looked after me brilliantly.

How thismsplace feta above average ratings I Can't believe. The physical therapy and housekeeping are outstanding. One or two nurses are great. The rest you could throw out and they wouldn't be missed.You byz ZZZ and buzz for help forever, sometimes a half hour later no one has come. I have even gone into the bathroom to pull the emergency cord and no one responds to that either. B u a t horrible response time. And the food service is even worse. Meals have wrong items, ice cold food or substitute items not ordered. They call tossed l salad, chopped lettuce. They call fresh fruit, canned peaches. Disgusting service. Can',t wait to go home.

The staff was attentive and friendly. The rigorous physical therapy was extremely helpful to recovery. The food was good. The administrative staff took care of all the insurance paperwork and referrals making things easier on our family. A great experience overall.

Alden Des Plaines is nothing but a clean, super welcoming and a warm facility! Go into other facilities and tell me if you have the same experience? Nope, hands down the only place where I have my family stay for rehab. No comparison!

There are simply not enough words to describe how thankful I am for Alden Des Plaines, from the Director Joe, to the nurses, to the staff and Frank. My mom has been in and out of the hospital and has been to various rehab facilities, her view of rehab was get me in and out, I do not want to stay here or live out my days here. But then she was admitted to Alden and her view has completely changed. She was able to recover, and was discharged. Now being home, she is trying to figure out ways she can go back. She enjoyed the dining halls, the various fun activities, get her hair cut, and even made some friends with other patients. They listened to her needs, assisted however they could, and most of all made her feel valued and cared for. I was able to have a sense of calm knowing how well she was being taken care of, and could rely on them to tell me if there were any issues (I wasn't so fortunate at other rehabs). I've tried to write this review many times, each time tears falling from my eyes, as I can never truly express just how incredibly grateful I and my mom are. Alden Des Plaines was our blessing, and though I don't wish my mom to have to go back any time soon, I know that if she needs to, she will be well taken care of and I can rest a little easier. A big thank you again to Joe and his wonderful staff!

I cannot tell you how immaculate and gorgeous this place is compared to where my sister was before. Staff is awesome and attentive-she has been there less than a week, but her family can relax a bit now knowing she is in such good care. This is the type of place I would recommend to anyone. All the residents appear happy, clean and well taken care of, thank you all.

I have been at the Alden Desplaines facility for wound care and rehab in preparation for further surgeries and procedures. The Alden Des Plaines wound care nurse, doctor, and staff have been excellent. The wound healed and reduced in size beyond what doctors (hospital) had expected. The Alden Desplaines floor staff, nurses, CNAs, housekeeping staff, dietary staff, and maintenance staff are efficient, timely, and responsive to patient needs. The Alden Desplaines PT/OT staff are patient, persistent, keep patients on task, and maintain very high safety controls. The Alden Desplaines Administration and social workers are attentive and promptly provide needed services and information. My experience with Alden Desplaines has been excellent. At this time of discharge, I feel well prepared for the next steps in my upcoming continuing medical treatments.

My husband has been at Alden of Des Plaines following two strokes that he suffered in 2021. After many months of hospitalizations, long-term acute care facilities and sub-acute care facilities, we found Alden of Des Plaines to be the facility that offered him the best care. We are pleased with the staff, their attention to his needs, and their friendly disposition. No skilled nursing home is perfect and with the staffing shortage across the industry, I am comforted and can sleep at night, knowing that my husband is receiving quality care 24 hours a day. Alden is always clean and their food is top quality. The residents have many menu choices to choose from every day. It is not institutional. I would highly recommend Alden of Des Plaines.

To begin, a big hug goes out to Diana, Danielle, Alma and the entire physical therapy group.... You are simply the best!!! The staff at Alden are some of the most wonderful people you could ever meet! They made my father in law's stay comfortable and their kindness and true caring for their patients shows through in everything they do. You get a feeling of comfort when you know that they are treating your loved one like one of their own family. They always made our family's visits welcoming and we were always greeted personally at the door. If you find yourself in need of rehabilitative services, I highly recommended them, you will be very pleased with their service.

ALDEN REHAB (DES PLAINES) HAS ANGELS FOR STAFF. ALL THE WAY FROM THE DIRECTOR TO THE REST OF THE STAFF. THEY HANDLE THEIR PATIENTS AS IF THEY WERE THEIR OWN FAMILY. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND RESPONSIVE TO OUR NEEDS. THE BUILDING IS CLEAN AT ALL TIMES. IF I EVER HAVE TO TAKE MY MOTHER TO A REHAB FACILITY, IT WOULD ALDEN IN DES PLAINES

My Aunt was in care at Alden for 7 years! We had high expectations and the staff at Alden delivered. They were caring, and responded to requests with warmth and promptness. They took time to share information about my Aunt's day or explaining services they had recently provided. There were kind and caring people on all three shifts. We have family nearby who visited and checked on her frequently. She was always well tended to, kept clean, the food was appealing to her, and she was allowed visitors to walk in at any time (except during Covid). They had activities, music, and outings planned, provided therapy, and Alden truly became her home. Toward the end of her life, Family Hospice tended to her new needs right there in her familiar setting at Alden. The two organizations worked together seamlessly and cooperatively, with daily hospice visits and 24-hour support for my Aunt and family members. With instructions from hospice, they kept my Aunt comfortable. We were very pleased with the facility and the care my aunt received.
