My dad went to BH for rehab and honestly did not know if he would ever leave but the team of admin, nurses, CNAs, and therapist literally brought him back and after 3 weeks he was able to return home.

I definitely would recommend someone to live at the Independent Living building at Cantata. The Manager never says no to anything that is logical. The cafe and dining room are very clean and beautiful!

Our church group has been doing a monthly visitation at Cantata (previously British Home) for many years. The Activities staff is very helpful and friendly. The nursing staff are also very warm & friendly. The care of the staff with the residents is also very obvious as the residents are always cheerful and upbeat. We never hear any complaints. We love visiting there.

The transport from northwestern to British Home-Brookfield cantata was seamless for short term rehab. Clean facility. Smells good. Outstanding staff. Responsive, friendly, communicative.. Has long term offerings as well. Thank you Cantata!

I had an amazing Mothers Day at Cantata! Watching my family drive around my apartment, and yelling Happy Mothers day to me while I was in my Apartment window was an awesome experience! I could communicate, share our love, and feel close to my family! Thank you to Cheryle for always going above and beyond for the residents and this event was extraordinary!

My mom is in assisted living at Cantata. She moved in during the pandemic. The staff has done their darnedest to see that she is well taken care of. They have hallway activities, like bingo and trivia, the food is varied (the fruit fresh, and always dessert!), and under the severe restrictions of COVID, she isnt depressed or neglected. We cant wait to see what life will be like for her, with the regular activity schedule, and trips to shop, etc, when the plague is over. I dont worry about her safety there at all. Thanks to Kathy the director, and the aides and staffs and cooks and waitstaff whose names I dont know yet, who are kind, patient, cheerful and hard-working!!!

June 19, 2020 I am related to and oversee the care of one of Cantatas independent living residents. With that comes the responsibility to visit often and to keep in touch with the staff. I have nothing but praise for the entire Cantata staff. They were great before but they have exceeded my expectations during this pandemic. Ive spoken with so many of them, either they call me or Ive called them to get updates, and yes, even with the CEO, on a Sunday! There has been excellent communication . I believe the safety and well-being of their residents and staff has been their top priority. From virus testing (often), to daily temperature taking, meal delivery, scheduling laundry, mail-package delivery, groceries-prescriptions, just to name some of the areas where protocols had to be put in place. For Mothers day, I visited from the street, seeing and waving up to the window and talking by cell phone. With the warmer weather and in time for Fathers day, this week, Cantata offered in-person outdoor visits. From a reservation, then a sign in at the security checkpoint, to your designated meeting-seating area, of course with social distancing, all wearing masks, it became a wonderful reality. HEROES WORK HERE!

Cantata has been especially great since this pandemic began. Theyve accommodated staff who can work remotely and reward direct and support care staff on campus. Theyve been really good about offering paid time off and keeping everyone safe!

A PLACE I WOULD 'NEVER' WANT TO HAVE TO GO TO HAVE TO SPEND NIGHT THERE TO ATTEND PHYSICAL THERAPY. NURSES IN THE CANTATA BUILDING WERE GOOD, AND SOME OF THE CCHA WERE OKAY, BUT THE HELPERS THAT MOST OF THE TIME WORKED 3RD SHIFT WERE ' VERY TERRIBLE. MOST DID NOT NOW HOW TO HANDLE PATIENTS. I HAVE A LIST OF THESE WOMEN THAT WERE IGNORANT AND DID NOT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE PATIENTS. SOME OF THEM DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO PUT ON GLOVES WHEN THEY HANDLE PATIENTS. TERRIBLE -------- I PLAN ON GIVING MY LIST WHEN I ACTUALLY FIND SOMEONE WHO IS IN CHARGE THAT I CAN TALK TO,. SO WE WILL SEE. ALSO, WHEN YOU GET BILLINGS, THEY DO NOT LIST EVERYTHING THAT WAS DONE ----- JUST A NUMBER....

We just want to give a shout out to the Cantata Dining services team that made our Dads 90th birthday so special since we could not be there because of the Coronavirus. Lesya and her team brought him cake with a candle and at least two other people to sing to him. He was so surprised. We were so touched by their kindness. They sent pictures and a video to us. Of course with our permission (Due to HIPA laws) to celebrate with him. God bless you all, including Jenny Jicha who was a great help with this. Cantata rocks. I had to get a lab test, but I didnt want to go out in the public to get one. Cantata made all the arrangements and it was very convenient! I didnt even have to get out of my apartment! I also liked that the doctor called my daughter with the results.

I have lived here about 4 years. I often say to myself,God put me here. If I were at home, I would be isolated. I was out and about all my life and worked for44 years. Here at Cantata I am never alone. There are lots of activities and outings. Its a good thing.

My husband and I were very appreciative of the support we received from the Cantata Take 2 staff recently. Upon my return home from hip replacement surgery, we didnt know what to expect or how we were going to handle it. Having been happy with the Cantata Handy Man services we decided to explore what the Cantata Take 2 program could do for us. The Take 2 staff were competent and cheerful in helping me with sponge baths, dressing and getting into and out of bed that first week. They were sure a blessing and we would recommend them any time. I attend the Fit and Strong classes plus the Yoga class, for seniors, and also have used the "handyman services", I have the utmost respect for Cantata and the services that they provide for senior citizens. It is nice to exercise with people my age.

My parents have been residents of The Woodlands at Cantata for about a year. I sleep better at night knowing my parents have outstanding care just seconds away. The staff members are very compassionate and patient. There are plenty opportunities to socialize and become involved in activities. The facility is always clean and nicely decorated. It is not their home of 50 years that they had to leave but it has been the next best thing.
