From the moment you enter the facility, Dorota, the front desk receptionist, will greet you with a smile and helping hand . All staff are very attending and approachable. It’s always a pleasant experience for me when I visit residents at sunrise .

Best food and care. 5 Stars. My Mom has been there 6 years. Clean and many activities. 0 stars, her wedding ring and diamond ring are gone. Had a police report and nothing happened. She was destroyed by having her wedding ring gone. Can't prove anything but sad. Hope they find it.

Sunrise has been a saving grace for our family (tino heredia) the care that is given to him and our family thru the ups and downs is amazing starting with violet at the front desk. She is always so pleasant and brings cheer to the area, the reminiscence center has all people working who care so much about everyone. It is a beautiful place to be!!

Every team member we have encountered was attentive. They took the time to get to know my mother as an individual and learn her routines and her preferences. That level of personal attention has made a difference in her comfort and happiness. Sunrise is clean and welcoming without feeling clinical. You are always greeted with a smile. There are plenty of common areas where residents can relax, socialize, or participate in activities. There’s always something going on, daily fitness classes or fun gatherings. It’s reassuring to know that my mother is actively engaged. The meals are well-prepared and diverse. It feels much more like a restaurant experience than a cafeteria. We’ve seen an improvement in my mother’s overall well-being since she moved in. She’s more active, and social. I would recommend this retirement community to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine care.

After 58 years in the same house my parents were no longer able to be on their own. We toured several senior living facilities and knew that Sunrise of Bloomingdale would be a good fit for them as soon as we visited. Sue and Toni were very helpful with answering questions and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. My parents recently moved in and everything has been great - their room, the food, the people. All good.

This truly feels like home For so many residents, this is not just a facility it’s a place of comfort, dignity, and community. I appreciate this community for many reasons. The management, especially Melissa The Administrator is exceptional. Her attention to detail is evident in every aspect- from the quality of resident care to the beautiful presentation of the building, as well as the thoughtfully planned activities and well-supported staff. The layout is designed to feel like a real home rather than an institution, which makes a meaningful difference. The d©cor is upscale yet inviting, and the environment is both aesthetically pleasing and easily accessible for residents. The staff is consistently attentive, compassionate, and engaged. From conversations with residents, one thing comes up repeatedly -they truly enjoy the food here, which speaks volumes. After having my mom at a facility for over 12 years, I can't say enough about the care my mom got here in her last months of life. We had to rush and find something, as we were so unhappy at our other place due to the staff shortage. The memory care is above and beyond, and we were thankful for Rosario helping us through this transition. Everyone was FANTASTIC and it felt like a big house. This was the beginning of 2024, but it still comes up in conversation and I recommend it to anyone facing this challenge with their loved ones. No one wants to be placed in a "facility", but the staff here treats everyone like their own family.

From the moment we arrived, the staff has been warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. They go above and beyond to ensure that all residents are comfortable, safe, and engaged. My Mom came for a respite care for a month in July. Her last day was a Sunday and we picked up after dinner. By 2:00 pm the next day she was texting me and telling me that she had to go back. She missed her friends at meals and the people really helped take care of her. Less than two weeks later a room became available and mom is settled into the routine and it putting on weight after losing so many pounds that her doctor became very concerned. I often see her participating in watching old movies and playing Bingo. She still talks about riding in the bus as part of the Bloomingdale parade. A favorite memory. My mom is thriving again at Sunrise

The Sunrise of Bloomingdale staff has done an amazing job of taking care of our father through this very tough time of Covid-19. Not only is their facility warm and welcoming, but so are the people that work there. We're especially thankful they provide the opportunity to Facetime with our dad every day.
