Great Facility! Food is good, people and the service is good- when I need assistance they respond quickly and have been very kind and helpful. They are also very patient with me. Therapy has been very good, they really look after you. I was barely able to stand and thought I was never going to walk again and now I’m able to stand on my own. Team here really looks out for your overall well being. Facility is very clean! I will definitely return after my upcoming surgery as my experience has been wonderful; I wouldn’t want to be any place else.

Mom and dad were both here for a bit. Facility is clean, food is okay but they have other options if you don’t like what they’re serving. The nurses and employees are nice and do their best. They always have activities going with a big group of patients involved. We were happy with the care they got.

Both of my parents have stayed at Bloomingdale and Lombard. Currently my Aunt is in Bloomingdale facility, and I can confidently say that it is an excellent place for your loved one to receive the care. The staff, from the receptionist to the facility manager, does an outstanding job. I am extremely grateful to them. Moreover, Andrea, the facility manager at this location, went above and beyond when we needed her the most. Lastly, the daily group activities at this facility are excellent.

Overall the place is dated and looks like you walked back to 1992, but you get the care you need to get better.

My name is Ewa Firlej. My brother, Marek Stachurski, is in this nursing home after a serious operation. He cannot exist independently. He does not walk independently. He does not eat. He has a catheter. He is dependent on all the people working in this home. For the past few days, I have noticed that the care my brother receives is exemplary. The nurses often visit him to check his condition, position him so that he does not develop bedsores, and often measure his blood pressure, for which he receives medication. My brother is everything to me, he is my life. Now I am very satisfied with the care he receives, and I thank all the staff.

When I first came to Bella Terra, I was very upset because I didn’t really want to be there but after coming here, everyone was so kind and helpful and made me feel like I was at home. I was able to relax. I got the best of care everyone was very concerned about my feelings, and my health and any questions I had they were very, very willing to answer them and I realize if I ever have to be in a nursing home, I pray they will put me here. Even the household staff are very kind and very understanding, And very efficient I felt alone when I first got here and now I feel like I’m with family and that’s the truth , I don’t know how other people feel about it but my true feelings I thank God for Bella Terra Bloomingdale.

The Nursing staff needs to be more tentative to the patients needs and therapy isn’t therapy they hardly give sessions. They let my dad go out in 19 degree weather with lower legs exposed and no blanket wrapped around him. Next stop will be the State.

My father was there for 29 days . He was very weak . Unable to get up from a sitting position on his own . When he left on sat he was walking around very well with his walker . My father has dementia and aggravated Alzheimer’s. He had a few outbursts and they handled him very well . I would highly suggest using this rehab center . The social workers had meetings with me to discuss the plan for my father . The Pt therapists were very attentive to my fathers needs . They made sure he bathed and changed his clothes . The nurses were very helpful giving my dad his meds . The receptionist were very polite and informative . They make sure you are not bringing In anything that would be hurtful to there patients . The social workers always asked me if I had any questions or concerns in reguards to my father . My father Patrick Oberg , my husband Rodney and I thank you for taking great care of my father . I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Our loved one has been at Bella Terra Bloomingdale for about 9 months in the long term care section. The staff employed by BT that cares for our loved one daily is great. Either myself or another family member visits our loved one 5-6 times a week. Every time we visit, one of the staff gives us an update about our loved one. There have been a few experiences that were not so good but on a regular basis our loved one has been taken care of very well every day. THANK YOU to the BT staff that cares every day for our loved one.

Grossly understaffed. Agency staff are not fully trained nor oriented to patients or organizations protocol. Many patients wait long times for water, changing, nurse call buttons to be answered and meal dispersement. Phones are out of reach of patient. Paging system isn’t heard in back of facility. My mom has fallen twice. Once broke her hip and collar bone, second time I was not notified!! That’s not appropriate! Individuals aren’t being bathed regularly. Their faces aren’t washed daily, nor are their teeth or hair brushed. Someone cut a chunk of my moms hair off last year and yet nobody knew who or when and I brushed her hair out every time I visited, so I noticed. The receptionist is suppose to be screening people at the front desk as they enter for weapons, and a few other questions, last three visits I’ve been there no screening was done. When I inquired with the receptionist why she signed the sign in book she said for screening I said but you didn’t. Her response was you’ve been here before’. Why implement a policy that isn’t being followed and make a paper trail that isn’t valid. The administrator is never available to talk to. Some RNs that are Regular employees that work directly with my mom are caring, but they aren’t there 24/7 and that’s when the things fall apart, sadly for the innocent patients.

Our Mom recently spent two weeks at Lexington of Bloomingdale after a hospital stay. Rehab/Nursing services were recommended to get her back on her feet. The staff was wonderful. Everyone involved, Nursing, Therapy, Dietary, CareTechs, Social Services made Mom feel comfortable and cared for. Since we were not able to visit due to Covid the team communicated twice with conference calls so we would be aware of Mom’s progress. Highly recommended!

My Mom Rehabbed at Lexington of Bloomingdale following her Knee replacement Surgery. I have to say that everyone that our family came into contact with was amazing! From the time my Mom was admitted until the day she was discharged she experienced exceptional care. All of the staff from the CNAs to the Physicians caring for her were Phenomenal. We as a family were able to go home at night knowing the all of her needs were being met. Hopefully Mom will not need any more surgeries in the future, but if so Lexington of Bloomingdale is my families first choice for her stay. If you want to die comfortably, don't stay here. They will not feed you or make sure you ate. My aunt died here with her back all red and blood around her tush. Yes because she laid down all day, but doesn't make more sense to put zinc cream or vaseline on her back. At least die without pain. Two stars because some staff were nice.

Everyone from admissions to CNA’s, nurses, all physical therapists, dietary and yes even housekeeping made her stay extremely comfortable! Definitely would recommend Lexington !

This facility is amazing!!! We have a family member there now and the service is second to none. (Note, we moved from a horrible place to here) If you walk down the hallways, every nurse light is NOT on, you don't continuously hear beeping sounds for hours, and the staff is amazingly nice and efficient. Most days, I know the staff and have gotten to learn them all on a first name basis, and every day is a warm greeting. Why you may ask? Because the staff cares and treats you and your loved one as family. Their jobs are NOT easy and they are doing the best they can. I can only hope others take the time to notice all the hard work and dedication.
