The Oaks at Bartlett – Reviews
July 2024
This place is the best. I had a tkr and Chose The Oaks for my rehab. The employees here are amazing, from housekeeping, cna's, nurses, directors to my PT and OT teams. Raf, Joanne, Franklin were so professional and encouraging in my rehab I felt as if I was their only patient. I told my Dr. he would be wise to send his patients here. Thank you again.

I fell the end of April and broke my leg. I had to go to rehab it was the first time for me and I didn't know what to expect. But I had a very good experience there everyone from the nurses and pt people . the staff each person made me feel good. I would give them a 10 star they are the best.

My mom was planning on moving to the Independent Living at the Oaks of Bartlett. Prior to moving in, Mom fell and broke her hip, going to the Rehab at the Oaks and is now in Assisted Living. . Everyone we have met here has gone above and beyond to help us. The team at the Independent Living side still goes out of their way to help us as well as all the staff on the Assisted Living side. The health care was great as well as the PT team. We couldn't be happier that Mom has chosen the Oaks of Bartlett as her new home.

I was at the oaks for two weeks after open heart surgery. The place is well taken care of. The people are so calm and attentive. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Excellent services staff very caring and reliable thank you for the care and help me walk again

Excellent staff, awesome nurses and social workers. I've visited many nursing homes/ therapy places, Oaks by far is the best. They really care and treated my mom wonderfully.

My mom did rehab here twice. This second time from July 1st - Aug. 2nd. Nilo, a RN on staff here knew my mom by name. He was on top of her meds and was able to fill me in on her condition without even looking at her chart. Rolando is the Social Worker who was my main contact here. He helped me with Medicare questions, her care plan and anything I needed even if it wasn't related to his position. I felt everyone genuinely cared and were truly interested in my moms wellbeing. If I could have the care team she had in rehab over in assisted living, I would move her tomorrow. Most importantly...mom was very happy here.

We moved my mom into The Oaks in December, and it has been such a wonderful experience. Between Tammy helping us pick the perfect place for mom and the staff helping her feel so welcomed it's been amazing. The other thing we noticed is everyone that is living there seems to be so happy which I believe indicates what a great environment The Oaks has created for everyone. Some of the other independent living places we visited never had such a welcoming feel to it like The Oaks does. I would recommend The Oaks to anyone.

My husband had to go to a rehab. The Oaks is very professional and care very deeply for him. He progressed quickly with the whole taking care of him. If there is one complaint the food is not very good. Definitely need to make improvements in this area.

The Oaks at Bartlett has been my home for the last 15 years. It has given me peace of mind as to what the rest of my life will look like. My daughter will not have to look for a place for me to go when I'm not able to live independently. No maintenance worries (I joke that I have maintenance on speed dial). No worries if an appliance has to be replaced. A wonderful balcony that my dog Yoda and I get to enjoy during good weather. The best way to describe how I feel is something that I was told during my decision making process.....The Oaks is a place that you can be alone but not lonely. I can be as busy as I want out in the community but when I open my door to my apartment I am home. And at peace with the world.

Moving my mom into The Oaks has been a very pleasant experience. Everyone from the staff to the residents have been so kind and helpful while learning about living here all the way through actually moving in. The communication was straightforward and prompt. The apartment is beautiful. I'm excited for my mom to start this new journey. An extra thank you Tammy for making this an easy, smooth transition.

My experience working with Lauren and Tammy was wonderful. My Sister-in-law, Alice went from having a bad fall in her home to hospital, rehab at Oaks, an then being told she could not go back to her home of 46 years. I was very dramatic for Alice. Then Lauren came into the picture and reassured her she would love living at Oaks at Barlett. She was so helpful, kind, caring to Alice in making her decision to move into independent living. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the residents are very welcoming. I would highly recommend Oaks at Bartlett and to contact Lauren and Tammy.

Moving my parents from Arizona to Chicago was a difficult decision. However, their needs outweighed the ongoing beautiful sunshine of Arizona. We viewed multiple facilities in the area, but came to settle up on The Oaks. The sales staff. Was exceptionally helpful. My parents were able to review several different types of apartments and choose the view, and every single thing that would make them happy in the apartment they chose. The staff continue to support them through their long-distance move and help them feel welcomed into the new community. They have made wonderful new friends and are involved in so many new activities. By the way no matter winter or summer it is always 75° at The Oaks.
March 2023
From first visit to move in, everyone we encountered was thoughtful, caring, and more than willing to help us navigate my mom's journey to a life in independent living at The Oaks. The journey has led us to what seems like a great situation for Mom.
March 2023
My parents have been at The Oaks for about a year and a half now and it was a great decision for our family. They are in the independent living portion of the facility and they've met all kinds of people since moving in. The staff do a great job seating residents with other residents so they get to know each other. The food has been great and the care and service has been wonderful as well. Happy they are at The Oaks!

My husband, Charles “Bud” , was in The Oaks of Bartlett. He had a bad fall and needed to get stronger and was very weak when he entered the facility. He not only got excellent & supportive care, but improved daily. The Staff is a Wonderful Group of Caring Individuals. He was very pleased with care. He was in the facility, 13 days and it was so good to see him improve daily. Thank You

This March 2023 my father Charles H “Bud”received care for 13 days at the Oaks with a friendly and extremely helpful staff they cared for him like he was their own family. He turns 88 years old in May and he came there with little expectations of good food and they had great food. It was just an overall great experience. We Thank the staff and the team there he improved every day. With his physical , occupational and speech therapy he improved every day and we brought him home after only 13 days.we are grateful for the Oaks of Bartlett.

My mom sustained a heart attack when we also discovered she has COPD. She spent a couple weeks at the Oaks rehabilitating> They got her up and moving again and stronger than even before her attack and diagnosis. The care she received was top notch. Rolando from Social Services at the Oaks was especially helpful and key to helping us understand everything that was happening and what to expect. He arranged everything for us and answered all of our questions. Even though I called him a million times, he was always great and empathetic and considerate. I really appreciate everything Rolando did to make my mom's' transition home smooth and easy. We didn't have to worry about a thing or lift a finger ourselves to make things happen. H Thanks to everyone at the Oaks and a very special Thank You to Rolando!.

Since we moved from sunny AZ to The Oaks in the north part of IL, we are still enjoying 75 degree temperatures (indoors). We looked at several other retirement communities, but The Oaks had the most welcoming feel. The facilities and personnel are very accommodating with friendly residents and lots of activities. We had a hard time making the decision, but we are closer to our daughter and my wife and I have made lots of new friends. The area has a variety of shopping and eateries that we get to visit often. The meals at The Oaks are appetizing. We are very happy we made the decision to move here.If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
January 2023
Shortly before Christmas, my mother made the bold decision to make The Oaks at Bartlett her new home after living at another independent living community. She, and our family are thrilled that she did. Lauren Cardelli, is a gem. She made the entire process effortless. The moving staff was amazing. Having a "welcome ambassador" is such a wonderful idea and helps new residents acclimate to their new surroundings, and Linda did a great job. Your staff and residents made her feel at ease and instantly welcome. She enjoys dining and attending fun activities with her many new friends. We could not be more pleased with The Oaks.
February 2022
I have lived here since 2014 and enjoyed it. We just had our own "Olympics", such fun!!
February 2022
We are so very delighted we decided to move here! Mike and I have found The Oaks to be the perfect place for us. The staff and residents are friendly, supportive and helpful. We feel there are many opportunities to become engaged in activities, but never have felt pressured to do anything. There are plenty of activities on site and scheduled outings to enjoy in our communities. We have found both the pool and the walking path around the pond perfect for us to get our exercise. We believe the services available are all we could ever want or need.
November 2021
I have been living here now for almost eight years and I can honestly say that it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. The people here are family and the staff is friendly and very caring. There was so much to do I had to pick and choose among the many choices. Over the years my health has declined somewhat and I still can find appropriate activities. It's wonderful to feel safe and know you have support when you need it.
July 2020
Helpful and kind to seniors.
May 2020
Great place to live. The CEO and the rest of the staff are really great. They think and plan ahead. You feel safe during an unsafe time.
January 2020
The facility and the nurses and aids are wonderful! I could not say enough good things about them. Social Services is another story. Be sure you have all your ducks in a row when your loved one is discharged and make sure that they have all the information in writing. They seem to drop the ball.
January 2020
Beautiful, friendly home for seniors. Offer multi level care.

March 2018
I am actually visiting a loved one in the short term (rehab) facility within this community. He is a repeat patient. Drs., nurses, cnas, therapists are all excellent, compassionate and dedicated. The facility is modern, comfortable, welcoming and very safe. Theres plenty to do and plenty of opportunities to meet new people or, in this case, renew friendships. I want to come here if I ever have the need. This place is more than 20 miles from patients home and there are plenty of facilities much closer. The strong speech, swallowing and short term memory therapy program drew patient here originally. Ive met a few patients who chose clare oaks so their pets could visit them. I also understand the food is pretty good. Check out Assisi health care for more info on this place.
March 2018
My mother in law resides great place for her she likes it very much
January 2018
Great location, lots of amenities, fabulous staff, fine dining. Independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehab, skilled nursing etc.
April 2017
Great place, great staff that really care. The food in the assisted living is not nearly as good as the food in the big dining room, however.
