*editing after staying at a different A.L* what Brookdale continued to do right after ownership change was carestaff. They were always there for the residents assistance. Medtechs would give meds at whichever time the resident needed them, unless they forgot to refill them of course. (Idk if this will change later on) Current resident. It has gone downhill in the year I've been here. The admin says it's new bosses, but I have my doubts. The biggest problem imo is they are horrible at managing meds. I've had to go days without my heart medication, and that's not even the worst. I asked for an incident report at my family's urging after a serious medication issue and was told there would be one. I asked for a copy a month later, and was gaslighted and humiliated. After 7 hours they admitted one was never made. They have not kept their word on any of the things they've promised. Most of the great staff members mentioned in reviews have quit. If you want your loved one to be forced to live like a bag lady, this is the place to send them; otherwise I'd suggest you pass. (I'm in one room and the majority of my stuff is in another, including my shower supplies. This has been going on for nearly a week, since I asked for a copy of the incident report)

I personally have not had any experience with Brookdale, but I do know Michelle who is part of the staff. Since Michelle works there, I know for certain that the people are in very capable hands and will be taken care of with compassionate and thoughtful care. Couldn't ask for a better person to be part of the assisted living team.

I was really impressed with their staff and their leadership team, I have done some events with them and they really have a lot of fun. It really shows that they care for their staff and their Residents. Michelle does a great job with with community outreach and organizing great events, and Payton is great with organizing activities that keep their residents entertained and happy. I highly recommend this facility for anyone who is looking for a great place for their loved ones to stay.

Very clean. Nice rooms. Staff was great. It's hard making the decision for putting someone in a home or hospice. This is a nice place. The people who take care of our loved ones have a hard job. It should be the most respected of profeshions. There was a very nice caretaker here. Chantal was the best, very attentative. Very kind. She is fantastic and deserves a raise.

Brookdale has been so good with my Mom and has worked hard to be sure she has the best care possible with all of her health care needs. They are very responsive and this has given me a sense of peace at a difficult time when I can’t care for her on my own. I highly recommend this facility if you have a loved one needing to go. There is a very nice home feel as well as good food. Thank You Brookdale!

I can't say enough good about Brookdale, Pocatello! As soon as I contacted Brookdale to move both my Grandma and Aunt in they were very thorough and explained everything. Very professional, very clean. They know all the residents by name and it shows how much they truly care for their residents. Chelsea did a fantastic job helping the process get started and Kayla has been Fantastic with all of my Grandma and Aunts nursing/ medical needs, and responds to my calls promptly! Camille does a great job explaining billing and is SO sweet. I highly recommend Brookdale for a loved one that needs a lil extra care!

I live here because I have a very serious back injury. I highly recommend living here. Brookdale Pocatello works directly with Brookdale Corp. to improve our quality of living here when necessary. I am glad to be a part of this community that grows together, make improvements where needed, makes changes so our quality of life is better. Kayla our new nurse is involved in every resident's care. Our new "Executive director" Nicole and new "Sales director" Chrissy work with every one here as a team. If you have to leave your nice big home cause of health reasons etc >>> come live here at Brookdale Poc. See you soon!

My father spent his last few months with the staff at Brookdale. He suffered from dementia and incontinence and when he was not sleeping he could be a serious grouch, but they loved him anyhow. They would smile every time they saw us coming and give us updates on his condition daily. I don't know how these nurses do it, they show such love and respect for every charge in their care. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for the best care for a loved one.

I highly recommend Brookdale Pocatello. My mom has been there now for 7 years and it is home to her. She has built friendships with many of the staff and they are good about always going aboveboard to help her. The place is always clean and doesn’t have a institutional feel to it.

Brookdale Pocatello is truly a wonderful family environment. Residents care and nurturing is FABULOUS. The apartments are spacious and looks out over the valley. Activities abound and the food is delicious.

The decision to sell our Home after my husband passed away and move into an assisted living facility was extremely difficult. Our home was the family hub. A place where our children, children-in-laws, grandchildren & great grandchildren gathered regularly for any and all occasions. Brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends from all over the US could always visit. My roots were deep at our home place. But with declining health and physical limitations I knew changes had to be made, both for my safety and for the peace of mind for my children. So the search began. My daughters and I toured many places, but when I walked into Brookdale I knew this was where I wanted to live. The feeling in the air was happy. Many activities were going on. Some folks were working on a puzzle, there was a card game going on, someone was playing the piano, and another group was visiting and laughing. Someone even yelled out hello to us and waved. That was 3 1/2 years ago. The social activities are so fun. The friendships formed are life long, and we receive around the clock care. Actually after a lifetime of caring for others I am now being taken care of. Our director, Anna, provides a phenomenal crew, Kim, accounting, Teresa, admin assistant, Sharon, Sales, and Charlene, activities; Along with a full kitchen staff, A nursing staff, a maintenance crew, housekeeping, and super caregivers. Living here opened a whole new rich chapter. In my life. Thanks Brookdale, Debbie

My Mother just made the transition to Brookdale Pocatello, I can not tell you how much Sharon Nilson helped make this move not only affordable but also went above and beyond her job to make this move comfortable for my mother.
