The nurses and CNAs at Shaw Mountain took great care of our mother for the close to 2 months she was there. Everyone was attentive to both hers and our needs. Nicole and Anna were perfect at keeping us posted about the care she was getting and any changes to Mom's health. The rebah staff, specifically Kerri, were awesome. The level of compassion for Mom and family once she entered hospice was amazing. Great job Shaw Mountain!

I'm so grateful to all the staff of Shaw Mountain of Cascadia. From the front office to the nurses and care givers for all the loving care and attention they provided my 105 year old mother. She resided there for almost 3 years until she passed, and she received love, respect, and the care a family member would give a loved one. The facility and care was so wonderful that we left her there when we had to move out of state. We searched many places in the state we moved to so we could transfer her, but we were vey disappointed and sad to find out how bad people are cared for in other facilities. This facility and staff will forever be in my prayers, and I will forever be grateful to them!! Job well done God bless Shaw Mountain of Cascadia

Shaw Mountain of Cascadia understands how difficult it can be to transition from home or a hospital into a skilled nursing facility. Expectations are naturally high, and families hope their loved ones will receive very personalized care. While it’s understood that these expectations aren’t always possible in a healthcare setting, Shaw Mountain does a great job listening to the needs and concerns of both residents and families. Even though the building itself is older, it’s clear the organization truly cares”there have been many recent improvements and renovations that show an ongoing commitment to the environment and resident experience. Most importantly, the staff genuinely care about the people they serve and consistently try to do what’s needed, not just what’s required.

I've visited this facility several times over the last year. I'm greeted with warm smiles and helpful attitudes every time I walk in. The facility is nice and clean, but the real differentiator are the people who work here! I would recommend Shaw Mountain to anyone looking for skilled, long-term, or memory care.

I’ve been the administrator for a few nursing homes myself. Shaw Mountain isn’t perfect, some long wait times here and there but generally the staff respond very quickly to concerns. I would place my mother or father in the care of the team at Shaw Mountain. Only advice I’d give to someone moving in or going to rehab here is communicate to the staff and get on the same page as for expectations. They hold care conferences weekly for rehab folks which is good because it’s hard to transition to rehab and sort of be left in the dark, thus the convenience of meeting weekly with the team to determine next steps of care and discharge planning. It’s also very nice to see that they are continually doing upgrades to the building and the rooms inside. A very nice building for its age. All in all, I’d recommend this place for anyone needing rehab or long term care placement.

I don't see any 5 star performance with the exception of one nurse. My blood sugars have been too high. There is a serious lack of communication. The don't keep up with the charts, or do not pay attention to them.

My sister was recently a patient following a major surgery. The staff was caring and gracious. The food was very good. So glad she was able to receive rehab there. Thank you Shaw Mountain.

Absolutely love the team at Shaw Mountain so many passionate and dedicated staff members from the staff who have been there many years to the new staff. Their dedication to provide great quality care, a fantastic and fun envirimnent for for residents and staff as well is truly remarkable.

Staff here really care about the residents! The nursing staff are personable with the residents and love them each individually. They know their needs and do the best they can everyday. The activities are well attended and always looking for new events. Residents help plan the monthly calendar according to what they'd like to see each month. Any resident's concerns are quickly addressed. The administrator -Haden- wants what's best for the facility/residents and will act quickly to make adjustments that might need to be changed.

Staff at Shaw Mountain are kind and friendly. A fantastic team at coordinating care and have a wonderful rehabilitation department. Highly recommend this team for long term care needs or skilled rehab needs.With my experience at the facility, I would rate it the first in the area in many criteria.

After being in the hospital (St. Luke's) for a little over a month, on July 5th, I was transferred to Shaw Mountain for rehab. Right from the start, this experience was life changing. A staff member from Shaw Mountain came to the hospital to meet with me and my husband to develop a rehab game plan. On July 5th, Crystal prompted arrived to transport me from the hospital over to Shaw Mountain. We knew Crystal (a long time employee at this facility) from the days when my mother-in-law was a resident in the nursing facility portion of Shaw Mountain. At arrival, Luke (Maintenance) went above and beyond making sure my side of the semi-private room was organized to meet my personal needs (moving the bed, nightstand, changing the mattress to a hybrid, setting up a power strip to accommodate my charging cords, etc.) and also checking in on my roommate at the same time. The nursing staff, especially Stephanie and Ashley, were awesome in that they stayed on top of my progress, medications, mental health and were never too busy for me--they made me feel taken care of and safe. Additionally, since i was in the rehab section Kerry, Becka and especially PT Eric took the time to listen to where I was (I hadn't walked in over a month) and helped me to graduate to a walker, though I also used a wheelchair. Within the first few days in rehab, I was able to start getting out of bed and taking care of my own self-care needs (for the most part) myself while in my room. Meanwhile, all staff, from housekeeping, maintenance, transport, dietary, social services, PT, OT, CNAs and nursing (I'm sure I left out someone) were constantly around making sure I was physically and mentally okay. And, I love the PT gym as well. The staff and facility make Shaw Mountain of Cascadia an AWESOME place to maintain and regain the quality of life that I've come to expect for myself. Thank you all, you are definitely the ANGELS among us!

I can’t say enough good things about Shaw Mountain of Cascadia! Their team of nurses and therapists go above and beyond to care for their residents and help them reach their goals. The location is amazing too, right at the base of the Boise Foothills.

Very kind and professional staff! Ive been a patient three times. Theres a need nurse button, when pressed help comes quickly. The PT and OT staff cares about their patients, establish a plan and work hard to help you acheive said plan. Its an excellent place to recoup. Highly reccomended!

The place is not bad, but not what I had hoped for. My 90 year old Dad was left sitting alone in his room, instead of being moved to dining area--twice. There are no phones in the room and several! friends and family have tried to call, to no avail. There is either no answer at all at the main number, or they transfer you to the nurses station, and state that someone will take A PHONE to the person's room. It has not been successful once. Not only are many folks already isolated in their rooms, they are not provided ANY OUTSIDE CONTACT through the facility. I'm going to let the BBB know of our experience with the lack of communications for the patients. It's sad!

I have been able to be in this facility multiple times over the past year and see the improvements Cascadia has made to this operation. The staff are extremely professional and caring. They have invested in the physical plan and put the patients first. I would easily recommend this facility to a loved one.
