My mom feels safe and cared for at the Chateau. The staff, lead by Jill D, manager, are kind, respectful and show good humor. There does not seem to be a lot of turn over in staff. They stay. They know residents by name and help however they can, going beyond their job at the moment to provide service to residents and care givers. They practice healthy safety precautions and so far there has not been a confirmed case of COVID. They keep residents informed. There are many activities offered inside and bus trips as applicable. Love them!

This comes from my father, Walter Petet, who is a resident, and is not fond of going online himself, so he wrote it longhand and asked that I post. He writes I tried getting in to the VA when I decided that I should not be living where I was in Eagle, they only had shared rooms, and I wanted my own room. After talking to the VA my daughter in law received a phone call talking to her about the Cheateau. We came and talked to Stu, and I decided that this was the best place for me. No shared rooms, friendly people, the place was clean and within my budget. I did not have to look any further, this was the place for me. I have been here a bit over two years now, and have no desire to reside anywhere else. The phone call he mentions was from me, his son. I was researching options while my wife, Suzie, was helping him with transportation. To be honest, the Cheateau de Boise is the best thing that has happened to my father in several years. His moving here took a huge burden off of him, and it shows, the Chateau gave me my dad back

I am lucky enough to have a friend that works at Chateau de Boise, an assisted living facility. She has invited me on numerous occasions to participate in their activities or share a meal with her. Today I finally accepted her offer for lunch and Im so grateful that I did. Most of us go through life not really wanting to ever see a rest home or even an assisted living place. This holds true for me anyway, but Ive also always wondered what I was going to do when I get to that place in life that I too will need help with what I take for granted now. Today was an eye-opener, to say the least, and extremely edifying. The residents have their own individual apartments which are a plus in my book. I need and enjoy my alone time and privacy. All their meals are prepared by a qualified Chef, they are served in an uptown restaurant-style, and from the looks of things, (The place was pack, not one table not being used.) the residents gather daily at meals, crafts, and other events often. A community within a larger community giving a more personal touch. As I looked around the room I could only imagine the wealth of wisdom and knowledge they share with one another. This made me want to be a part of it all. The good, bad, and ugly! To sum it up, I no longer wonder what I will do when I can no longer do it by myself. I only hope Ive got the financial wherewithal to pull it off. Thank you Chateau de Boise for the lovely lunch and great conversation. Im impressed!

I worked here as a waiter in the winter of 2014 until May of 2015, and had the chance to speak with most of the residents. Many are very pleased with apartments location, being close to a gas station and multiple churches, and not too far of a drive to downtown. The folks here are usually happy, and the managers of the home keep the interior nice and homey for the different seasons we encounter in Boise. This may not be the perfect place for everyone, but it manages to fit the bill for most. There are also many activities going on around the home, and it is not hard to find something new going on. Very nice place. They also allow small dogs.
