Keystone Place at Forevergreen was a Godsend for our family! When my mother was suddenly widowed almost five years ago, we needed to find a memory care facility that would nurture her, care for her, keep her comfortable and safe and help her maintain as much cognitive function as possible for as long as possible. Thankfully, a friend recommended Keystone. From the first phone call, the staff was encouraging, supportive and caring. The nursing, administrative and care staff went above and beyond to keep our family informed and involved and to make sure we had as many options as possible. They even made her final days a time of celebration rather than sadness. She has now passed, but I will be forever grateful to Keystone and everyone there.

My parents lived at Keystone for almost 10 years, starting in Independent Living. It is well kept, clean, quiet, and safe. The covered, warm, garage was extremely welcome while they were still driving. The apartments are quite spacious (compared to others we saw) and were always kept updated whenever a resident moved in or switched apartments. The Independent Living apartment had what I considered ample storage and included a full kitchen. The housekeeping and maintainance staff was consistently excellent and so kind to the residents. As time passed a move to Assisted LIving was necessary. This necessitated an apartment change (which is common in facilities such as this). This apartment had a small fridge and microwave but no stove. I cannot say enough about the staff who step in to assist seniors with things they can no longer do independently or safely (such as bathing, for example). This was a VERY hard move for my parents who were always very independent. Accepting this help was difficult even though they knew it was necessary. The staff "gets it" and is extremely understanding of the struggles seniors endure as they confront the limitations of aging and bodies and minds that no longer work like they used to. More time passed and we experienced the Memory Care Unit which is large and open and always has something going on! Residents of Memory Care are engaged and safe. There is outdoor space at Memory Care for small gardens and fresh air on nice days. Eventually it became time for hospice care. Hospice teams incorporated well with the Keystone staff and neither of my parents had to leave their living spaces (Memory Care or Assisted Living) to receive hospice care. The Keystone staff was so incredibly kind to them both as well as to us. I can honestly say it felt like leaving family when I walked out of Keystone at Forevergreen and I can also say that I think the staff felt that way about us, too. My Mom just passed away. She had lived at Keystone for more than 2 years, 1 year of that on Hospice. I thought Keystone did everything possible to make her comfortable, to make her feel welcome and to address every one of her needs. I will always be grateful to Keystone for the incredible care they gave my mother. She began her journey at Keystone nearly 10 years ago in independent living, later transitioned to assisted living, and in March 2026 moved to memory care. Throughout every stage, we knew she was exactly where she needed to be. The entire community is beautiful, clean, welcoming, and truly feels like home. But what makes Keystone so special isn't just the building”it's the people. From the moment my mom arrived, she was treated with warmth, patience, dignity, and genuine kindness. The staff didn't simply meet her daily needs; they took the time to know her as a person, comfort her when she was struggling, celebrate the good days, and love her like family. As her daughter living in Arizona, it meant everything to know she was safe, respected, and surrounded by people who truly cared. Quinn, Liz, and the entire team always made my mom's safety and well-being their highest priority. No matter what challenges arose, I never questioned that every decision was made with her best interests at heart. Even during difficult times, the caregivers consistently demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and excellent communication, always keeping our family informed and giving us peace of mind. I had the privilege of getting to know so many wonderful staff members over the years, and I genuinely looked forward to seeing them each time I visited. Every one of them treated my mom as if she were their own family member. I especially want to recognize Julie and Eric, who went above and beyond every single day to make sure my mom felt happy, safe, comfortable, and loved. Their kindness, patience, and compassion will never be forgotten. When my mom passed away, they”along with so many other members of the Keystone team”grieved alongside our family because they had lost someone they loved, too. That speaks volumes about the extraordinary people who work there. When my mom moved to memory care, there were certainly some challenging days. Dementia can be difficult for everyone involved, yet she was always treated with incredible patience, respect, and understanding. The staff never stopped seeing the wonderful person she was, even as the disease progressed. Although my mom has passed away, I will always consider Keystone Place at Forevergreen my second home. Whenever I return to Iowa, I know I'll stop by to visit the people who became such an important part of our lives. I wholeheartedly recommend Keystone Place at Forevergreen to any family searching for exceptional senior care. Thank you to every member of the Keystone team for the love, kindness, dedication, and outstanding care you gave my mother throughout the last decade of her life. The friendships she made, the compassion she received, and the peace of mind you gave our family are gifts that will never be forgotten. My mother in law lived at Keystone Place for 2 1/2 years! Initially she lived in an assisted living apartment and then moved to Memory care. I can't praise them enough for the amazing love and care they provided. They became her family too. I got to know so many staff members and looked forward to seeing them when I visited. They all treated her like she was their grandmother. When she passed, they grieved with us because they lost a family member too. The property is meticulously maintained, it's bright, fresh, clean and very welcoming. I can't say enough about Keystone Place!

My mother moved in to Keystone Forever Green in 2020 right before the world shut down. She was in independent living. I felt so bad that we moved her in and then could not visit. But each time I talked to her, I realized she was having a great time. Mom got to do activities daily, listen to music, and interact with others. She loved it at Keystone. As her health declined, she moved into assisted living. We (the family) were so happy to have her in a safe and happy place. We were always kept up to date on how she was doing and what was going on. We joined her for many activities. When she got diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Keystone we worked with Keystone to decide when it was time to move her to the memory care unit. She was still able to go out to events in the club house and was still living the best years of her life. Mom (Rita Fry) passed away in Feb. of 2026 in her room at Keystone. She had so many staff members that came in to tell her goodbye that final week. It was so heartwarming to see so many people that cared so deeply for her. I really don't think we could have had her in a better place. Everything from the communication to the activities were top notch at Keystone. If you are looking for a place that will treat your loved one like family and keep you in the loop, this is it. Keystone at Forevergreen was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone!

Keystone is a fantastic place for Seniors to live! The staff is friendly, treat all the residents as family, and go the extra mile to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. There are plenty of fun activities to keep everyone engaged and build a strong community between all the residents. The services in assisted living are always performed well. The residents are great, and create a friendly and caring community. The apartments are a nice size and the staff keeps them clean and in good repair. The maintenance team is fun and always makes sure that any repairs are taken care of promptly.

My wife, dog and I moved into Keystone the day it opened. My Wife had dementia and they were very helpful until she had to move to memory care. She was in there for 6 months and received very good care. The staff was very caring and very helpful. I have enjoyed the many actives that are available at Keystone. The meals are good and have a very good chose of food. The heated parking stall is something that I enjoy on cold winter days. The staff and all the residents are all very friendly. this just makes it seem like you are home with your family.

My grandma moved to Keystone Place at Forevergreen eight years ago, and it has been an incredible blessing to both her and our entire family. The staff are kind, welcoming, and professional, and they truly understand that each day they are being welcomed into the residents’ home. The housekeeping team does an amazing job maintaining the cleanliness of her apartment and the entire building. One of my favorite things is joining my grandma for meals”the food is delicious, with a wide variety of options to please every palate! Most importantly, the activities team thoughtfully designs the weekly schedule to keep residents engaged and connected. From activities in the man cave, to book club, weekly chapel services, and sing-alongs, there truly is something for everyone.

Wonderful environment for Assisted Living. Facility is well maintained. Staff are friendly and ever so providing to our every need. Meals are available. Well prepared and served by staff who know our names and preferences. Laundry and Housekeeping every week. A huge plus is the convenient Fitness Center on site. Rehabilitation with Physical and Occupational Therapists who are knowledgeable and skilled. Lots of activities daily. Transportation provided for medical and dental appointments. Just an ideal place for me. Keystone was what I needed to provide security and safety for me. And a huge relief to family so as to not be a burden to their living. A win - win for all. I have lived at Keystone for three years. I have found the staff to always be friendly and helpful. The atmosphere here is one of people caring for each other and very positive. I enjoy the many activities and find I can be as busy or not as I want. The things I like are exercise classes, card games, bingo, yoga, balloon volleyball and the special events. I have always had flower gardens and here I am able to continue my love of growing plants. I have put aside the drudgery and responsibility of home ownership since many of these tasks are amenities provided. It’s like living on a cruise ship! The meals provided are nutritious and well presented. My surroundings are tastefully decorated and make one feel at home. I feel my decision to move here was the best for me at this time in my life and I am grateful to be here.

I cannot find enough good words to describe how great Keystone Place at Forevergreen is. We needed to move my 91-year old Dad from North Carolina to assisted living here in Iowa, and we selected Keystone after much research. Sadly, Dad suffered a stroke soon after arriving and passed after a month on Hospice. The people at Keystone were a gift to us during this difficult period. They helped us work with Hospice so that Dad could stay in his apartment where he was comfortable through the end. Everyone that we worked with -- from caregivers, to dining staff, to administrative staff, to maintenance staff, literally everyone--was great. They were kind, knowledgeable in their positions, skilled in their services, supportive, respectful, empathic, and genuine. The residents were great too; they were welcoming and everyone we met seemed happy, which speaks to the quality of the home. It felt like a family, despite having been with them for just a few months. We have had experience with three different care homes--two in North Carolina with my Dad and one Arizona with my Mom--and in each case we researched our options extensively. Keystone was without question the best experience of them all. They are good people; it's a good place! You can trust your loved one to them.

From the minute I visited Keystone Place in North Liberty, it felt like home. I moved in 18 months later and was not disappointed. People and staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is one of acceptance and true interest from the residents to the entire staff, from management to housekeeping. Everyone truly cares and is compassionate about others. Activities are provided daily and it’s entirely your choice to participate whenever you choose. Friends that visit me are surprised at the spacious, bright sunshiny 1 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and laundry in the bathroom. Storage has not been as issue since there is underground parking and storage areas available. I chose Keystone with the comfort of knowing if independent living becomes a challenge for me, they offer assisted living and memory care, so my daughter knows care and help will be there if/when I need it. It’s truly my home and I’ve not regretted moving in when I did.

I had such a great experience at Keystone Place at Forevergreen. For starters, the facility itself is always clean, well-kept, and decorated with care. The residents are provided with excellent cleaning services and even technological assistance, which goes a long way. My experience with management has been nothing short of exceptional. It is clear that management cares deeply about resident safety and comfort, as they are extremely personable. I also want to mention that the array of activities and social opportunities offered to residents is admirable. The activities range from resident-led games to staff-supervised parties and events that cater to various interests and hobbies. Keystone Place at Forevergreen is a well-oiled machine, and I would recommend it to anyone!

I have the wonderful life of sharing sound healing with the residents at Keystone Place for the past two years. I share drums and music with the memory care folks. We sing, we play drums, we play shakers and we do chair dancing lol. I also share relaxation with sound with the independent and assisted-living residents on a monthly basis. Relaxation and calming is very important and welcomed by all of us. The staff at Keystone Place is amazing. They genuinely love every resident and enjoy spending time with them. Everyone His family there. I am very blessed to be a part of this family.

Keystone place at forevergreen is an amazing community. My parents have been here over 5 years now. There’s not one single staff member or administrator who has been anything but kind, respectful, and professional. The social activities are so fun and there is excellent live music regularly. Food is delicious. And the neighbors quickly becomes a family deal here. Iowa nice, even as people come here to live from outside Iowa. It’s truly been our great fortune to have been able to live here.

My parents moved into an assisted living apartment several years ago after my dad had been hospitalized. It was near the time of Mom's birthday, and they were immediately welcomed with a surprise birthday party for my mom. The care and the caring shown by the Keystone staff are remarkable. After Dad passed away in 2020, Mom moved into the Memory Care unit where the staff is simply outstanding. Knowing that my parents were well cared-for and loved at Keystone Place made things so much easier for me as the child of aging parents. Even though Mom passed away in 2024, I still stop in at Keystone Place on occasion, so I can say "hi" to the wonderful Keystone Place staff and wish them well.

My parents made an excellent decision when they decided to move to Keystone at Forevergreen in their 90's. They were looking for a place that would meet not only their physical needs, but their social, emotional, and personal needs as well, and Keystone proved to excel in all those areas. Every single staff member treated them and every other resident with professionalism, kindness, compassion, and concern every day without fail. We had complete peace of mind knowing they were happy and truly cared for each day. We will always be deeply grateful to these outstanding individuals. My dad moved into KPFG on his 96th birthday after a fall that made it difficult for my family to continue to care for him. He lived with us for three and a half years on an acreage in the countryside. KPFG staff and residents are precisely who Dad needed. The nurses and aides perk up his personality, and he looks forward to their assistance throughout the day and evening. I have to say that even though Dad is a very picky eater, he never misses a walk to the dining room to meet with up to 7 table mates. He can be a grumpy sort, but I know his heart thrives on the friendship of these dear people. My days are less stressful knowing he is in good hands and in a good place among friends and his Keystone Family.

My mom moved from her home in Iowa City to Keystone Place at Forevergreen in 2017. She has been fortunate to call Keystone home for nearly 8 years. As her daughter living 2 hours away I have referred to the Keystone senior living community as my saving gracethe place and especially the people. The Keystone staff went above and beyond on numerous occasions to keep Mom living and thriving as independently as possible. Their concern was consistently for her satisfaction and her safety. The activities including exercise class, movies, BINGO, crafts and holiday celebrations were of special interest to her. Since Mom no longer cooked the dining room was a big part of her daily routine, and she enjoyed being able to have visiting family and friends join her for meals. Recently the decision was made to transition to assisted living so this prompted moving Mom closer to family. However, no place will ever replace her Keystone Family and the exceptional care she received and the friendships made. They have truly been a blessing! ™

The passing of my father ends a very special relationship that I, and the entire family, had with the residents and staff of Keystone at Forevergreen. We feel very blessed that my mother and father enjoyed eight years within this warm and welcoming community. They lived very happily together in their independent living apartment and Dad made a very easy and comfortable transition to assisted living when Mom passed. The social interaction added vibrancy to their spirit and years to their life. Keystone provides a fun and engaging environment for their residents and the staff relationships are like those of a loving family. Mom and Dad were treated exceptionally well, provided meaningful input to guide the dining and social programs, and were given extraordinary care in the final days of their lives.

We visited our mother/mother-in-law for the first time since she moved to Keystone. The facility, her apartment, the cordiality of the staff, the comfortableness everywhere, and the food service and food itself, were all unbelievably excellent. We noticed the appropriately rural "Iowan" subjects of the beautiful paintings up and down the hallways--our favorite!...having grown up in rural Iowa... The available amenities--including snack bar (which we indulged in that evening), the exercise and game rooms, the multiple public restrooms conveniently located, the outdoor "sports" activities for residents and their guests, even a LIBRARY on third floor, plus a prepared schedule of daily bus trips to a variety of nearby stores and places of interest--the planners of Keystone senior living did not seem to leave ANYTHING out! One special comment: We were grateful for the totally healthy, tasty food that was available for our supper with our mother, and her food ticket provided for all three of us visitors--her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson!...served by three of the kindest, most cordial and accommodating young people you could ask for. You all deserve our compliments!
