We have had nothing but an incredible experience transitioning my grandma into her studio apartment the activities calendar is filled with several different activities to participate in they have a community room that we were able to use for a family gathering which was very convenient. That have a lot to offer.

Mallard Point had a studio unit available. Move in was easy and quick. Mallard Point was patient with rules new to the new client. Tolerant and understanding. Recently renovated so it looked fresh and new.

The recent renovations at Mallard Point Senior Living have definitely made a difference. The building looks fresher and more modern, especially in the common areas and dining room. It’s brighter, cleaner, and feels more updated overall. There were a few inconveniences during the renovation process, but the staff did their best to keep everyone informed and comfortable. Now that it’s finished, the community feels more inviting, and the improvements make day-to-day life a bit nicer. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to live, and the updates show that the community is continuing to invest in its residence. I’d recommend taking a look if you’re considering an independent Senior Living in the area.

We have been living here at Mallard Point for seven years. Right now is the best it has ever been! A re-model has just been completed and the place looks fantastic. Plus, the menu has been increased and improved. We now receive three really great meals per day included in our rent. We also have entertainment weekly with a happy hour including drinks and snacks. There are numerous activities including Wii bowling, chair volleyball, exercise classes, crafts, cards, bingo and board games. And, if you need to go somewhere, but do not have a car, there is a van to take you to you appointments. All in all, it is resort living right here in Cedar Falls, Iowa!

I have been living at Mallard Point since 9/24. It has been a learning experience. I did not realize there would be several folks living here that should be in an assisted living facility. I also did not realize how hard it would be to fit in with people whom have been here a longer time. However, I am more comfortable after a year with meeting new people. The amenities are great. The cleaning team, the gym, the dining room staff, the chefs, the food, and the activities are all top notch. I appreciate not feeling forced to attend or play some game that I have no interest in. I feel free to do the things I want without any questions. The staff could not be more helpful and I feel they genuinely care about me. They are always friendly and have time to listen to what is on my mind. With so many different personalities, it is a challenge for Aryon and Amber everyday. But they are the best. The remodel of the building is so lovely. It is clean, welcoming and so updated from what we had. I am disappointed the library is smaller and there is not a designated chapel. But so proud to have friends and family see our new home. I am thankful to live here and feel I have value for what I pay. I hope one day to feel like a member of the in crowd.

I have lived here for almost 2 years and my experience has been good. The people are friendly as well as the management. They provide activities of many different kinds. The food is great and they always have a soup of the day and yummy desserts. The inside has been totally updated this year and is beautiful! And outside repairs have been done to the balconies. I am happy here!

I felt like I was being pressured to commit and Nikki’s obvious sales techniques were laughable and lead me to believe they couldn’t be trusted. I’ll have to look through the paperwork to determine if I choose to go there. I got a call this morning, again pressuring me to commit to them.

Mallard Point is the best kept secret for independent senior living in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area. While touring the retirement community with our loved one, she immediately said Mallard Point was the place for her. It was a great sense of relief for her and our family knowing she is in a safe, secure environment surrounded by friendly, kind, and compassionate retirees. The entire Mallard Point team consisting of administration, recreation, maintenance, transportation, food service, and housekeeping has been personal, professional, and top-notch. Knowing our loved one has three balanced meals daily, scheduled recreational activities, weekly housekeeping services, and transportation for shopping and appointments has left her happy and pleased with her decision about moving to Mallard Point. Being matched with an ambassador (aka “ welcoming committee) put her mind at ease since she was the new kid on the block. Ambassadors took her under their wing the first few weeks with respect and graciousness. The monthly price is affordable as she only pays for internet service and cell phone. Having lived in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area for almost 45 years, we are content knowing our loved one is in great hands at Mallard Point “ an amazing retirement community tucked away on a well maintained campus in a residential neighborhood.

We were given a tour. I loved the "turrets" with balconies wide enough to place a chair & read. After our tour we were given a box of cookies baked in the kitchen. The residents were very friendly as was the director who gave us the tour. I fell in love with the studio which had two rooms & a bath.

Absolutely gorgeous if you go during the right time of day and if the temperature is right cause let me tell you what I hate bugs any kind of bug they are creepy crawling disgusting scary things lol..... If your timing is bad than this place will definitely be swarming with lots and lots of bugs but what can i expect it's part of nature. I am just allergic of almost everything lol.
