Everyone was caring and polite. I went in for extra care after surgery. If I had a need, they did everything to make sure it was taken care of. They were so gentle! Everyone had smiles and were so friendly. The food was good too! Beds were comfortable enough. They were helpful to people visiting too.

NewAldaya Memory Care staff have been a Godsend to us as we navigate the challenges associated with caring for a loved one with dementia. They have gone above and beyond to better understand who Dad was and what his preferences were prior to dementia in order to personalize his care and help him maintain dignity.

Very cute place, the employees and residents are SUPER kind. The only reason for a star off is some areas need to be updated, there’s no pool for water exercise (helps people with pain), no pool tables, yet they do have a lot of fun activities. They also have to find their own rides unless it’s medical, I think they should offer rides for $10 to where they go and back. Other than that it’s a pretty decent place. God bless them for at least caring about the residents.

New Aldaya Memory Care has truly been a blessing for our family. Our mom has lived there for nearly two years while living with moderate to advanced dementia, and the care she receives has been exceptional. The staff is amazing, they genuinely love and care about each resident. They are proactive, thoughtful, and intentional about creating a comforting and safe environment that helps residents feel at ease and at home. The memory care team is also very welcoming to family and friends. We feel supported every step of the way and we wouldn’t want our mom anywhere else.

The Friday evening music experiences at Elm's Pub are a blast! Wonderful music, good food at a great price, and refreshing beverages! Perfect hours in a friendly atmosphere. Exceptionally helpful, caring staff. Love seeing Bob Dorr and the Blue 2 there.

My friend is a resident here and is doing so great. All the staff from every department have been so nice to her. Any time she has a need they are right on the spot to address it. I know she feels very safe and at ease here. All her fellow residents have all been kind and caring also. She is a busy bee and they work hard to keep enough activities going to engage everyone. They are so great at reaching out to her contacts with any concerns or changes.

Five stars to all the maintenance men. They couldn’t have been any nicer. I wish they were also the CNAs. They know what they’re doing. They’re super good at what they do and they are johnny on the spot. As far as the building itself, I give it a 2 stars. It’s old and The hallways are dark; there are no windows. New Aldaya is really old. I was a young girl when it was called the Lutheran Home and my grandma lived there. It’s unfortunate that they haven’t modernized it; widened their hallways or put in more windows for natural light. For being an old folks home, it doesn’t seem too functional to me. Their patio doors are so hard to open. I wouldn’t be able to open it if I lived there and I was older. How is an old person supposed to enjoy their patio if they’re unable to open the patio door. Then they changed out the laminate flooring and put in A sticky vinyl flooring. I understand why they did this to prevent falls, however I see this as more of a fall risk. I have almost fell just walking on those floors; if you drag your feet, your shoes will stick and then you’ll trip a little. Also sliding your dining chairs under the table is impossible now because nothing slides on the sticky vinyl floors. And then the apartment doors; as you’re leaving your apartment building; they automatically shut. If you’re a really slow old person, it will shut on you and push you down. That happened to my mom many times. My mom moved to a two bedroom apartment recently and they fixed the door so it doesn’t do that. Their apartments have the weirdest set up and they’re truly not modern or functional like they could be. If I was an elderly person and lived there; I would have to redo all the cabinets and and countertops. I would redo it all to make it more conducive to a functional living space for anyone not just the elderly. On the positive side of things, my mom moved into a little one bedroom 650 ft.. She couldn’t function because there was no room for her to move with her walker. She couldn’t even manage in the kitchen because it was too little and not laid out properly. So they let us move her to a two bedroom and Kristena was very accommodating. She has been wonderful to work with. The staff there is incredible. They’re all super friendly, super sweet. And high high praises for the manager the executive Kristena. She has made everything as easy as possible for us.

We toured here for independent living for my mother-in-law. It’s clean and rooms are nice but money is their main priority. We were emailed their financial packets and weren’t allowed to schedule a tour until we confirmed that we had looked at the packet. We scheduled a tour with Kristena. We got there about 5 minutes early and had to wait 20 minutes before Kristena came out. Then we sat down just to go over all the financial aspects of the facility before taking the tour. I had already gone over this information with Kristena over the phone. She had also emailed me 2 copies of the packet weeks prior. When on the tour, my mother-in-law was never asked what hobbies she has, where she grew up, or anything about her. There was no effort to try and get to know her or make her feel welcome. This feels more like a business than a potential home. Kristena had to discontinue our meeting due to a missing resident. Our 90 minute scheduled tour ended up being 45 minutes. If you’re looking for independent living with a friendly, welcoming environment, this is not the place.

Saw the 2 dining options advertised through the CF Tourism Site. It is a senior care facility with the common building made to look like a "small town main street". Went to check out the River Rock Cafe; Had a spicy turkey and small soda which tasted good & reasonably priced. Even as a 34 year old who was only there for the dining could tell the facility runs with business taking precedence over people. In 10-15 years from now when my folks are at that age, a place like this wouldn't be personable enough to consider.

My mother has been there for a week, coming from another nursing home. This place is awesome! They actually care and are pleasant. Like most nursing homes they can be short on staff but the ones that are there truly care! It's been a great experience so far!

The staff is kind but very driven by protocol. They have a hard time seeing simple solutions to problems because it is not what they were told to do. And communication among the staff is lacking. For example they may come and remove the breakfast tray because it's time to do that, but breakfast has not yet been served. I don't have anything else to compare it with though so maybe that's how all these type of places are. Rooms, facilities and activities are very nice though and the place has always been kept clean and in good order.
