We went to go look at Northridge Village as a potential home for my parents. What a great facility. We talked with residents and they were very happy to be living there. Modern amenities, kind, caring staff, and lots of patios/lounges/sitting areas to enjoy. In particular, Luke Borst was super helpful in explaining everything and patient with our questions, not to mention very knowledgeable about this whole process of finding the next right spot for aging loved ones

My parents moved there about 2 years ago and transitioned from independent to assisted and needed to transition to another facility due to my dad's condition. Staff were great to work with and accommodating to my parents health and living needs. They liked the activities and facilities and unfortunately they could not stay.

I recently toured Northridge Village and was very impressed. Luke did an amazing job of answering all my questions and giving me a clear picture of what daily life is like for the residents. The facility was exceptionally clean and well-maintained which immediately gave me confidence in the level of care provided. The residents were active, engaged, and seemed happy. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, not clinical or impersonal. Overall, it was a good experience and highly recommend taking a tour if you’re considering options for yourself or loved ones.

We toured the facility with Luke & was very impressed with the levels of care & overall appearance of all areas we visited. The residents we encountered appeared happy & the staff knowledgeable & caring. A lot of thought went into building this state of the art care facility & no detail had been left out as far as providing a safe, clean & welcoming environment to live in. We would feel great comfort if our loved one ends up having to stay there. Luke did a great job showing us around & listening to our concerns & answering all of our questions! Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic tour of the facility. Everyone is so friendly and the place is bright and beautiful. My mother-in-law spent several months in Northridge Village. The team allowed her to stay in her room while her illness progressed. They were loving and caring every step of the way. Not only for her, but for us too. This is the kind of place I always wanted to find for my mom when the time came to move her to a long term care facility. Northridge Village goes above and beyond to make sure all their residents are well taken care of and they feel like this is home. Luke did a good job giving us a tour of Northridge Village and updating us on new developments since our initial visit several years ago. He also showed us one unit that was available. Luke explained the general services and the community amenities. We found Northridge to be a welcoming community.

Our children researched assisted living facilities in Ames for us to consider when we felt ready to leave the farm. After reviewing the options and costs, we toured two facilities. We choice Northridge Village as our first option because of their services and facilities for any potential needs that might arise--assisted living, health care and memory care being offered. When my husband unexpected fell and needed inhouse rehab, unfortunately Northridge Village was unable to provide a place for him. After three weeks of traveling 40 miles each way, to help with his rehab, I reached out to Luke at Northridge Village explaining my position and questioning whether he had an assisted living apartment for us. He had two available for immediate occupancy and within a week I was moved in. Everyone within the system has been very helpful. All of the tenants are very friendly and welcoming. After three months of residency, as a whole everything has been mostly satisfactory. The few issues that have arisen were efficiently settled. Although we had been told that there would be a rent increase, we did not expect that it would be quite so hefty. There are a variety of activities to serve many areas of interest. Unfortunately, my husband passed away, but I feel fortunate to be living at Northridge Village with a new family of friends.

We met with Luke the Marketing Director to try to find a care solution for both my sister and brother in law. Though they didn't have any space available and their waiting list was too long to meet our needs Luke spent a significant amount of time helping us with suggestions as to places in the area, resources and questions to ask when considering care units. He was a wealth of knowledge and was very empathetic to our situation. I would highly recommend both Luke and Northridge in your search for memory care options.

My grandmother and I toured Northridge Village this week. She felt right at home and could not stop saying how warm and friendly everyone was. Selling her home and the upcoming move to assisted living has been a difficult change for her. However, after spending time with Luke, touring the facility, and meeting some of the residents she is eager to move into Northridge Village! We were both very pleased with all that it has to offer.

I was very impressed with Northridge community and the thorough tour they provided. I was especially impressed with the memory care center, Maggie’s Place. One of the features that impressed me was how well lit and airy the numerous common areas are throughout the building. I feel confident that my mother would be well cared for at Northridge.

Lovely tour. The staff is warm and friendly. Had the opportunity to see the whole main complex and apartments. Very clean and homey. They were getting ready for a garden party for lunch. Loved that there is a salad bar every day. Good size physical therapy room for residents. A lot of light in the shared areas.

I was impressed with this facility.. it was clean and orderly. Everyone was friendly and workmen were much in evidence for small repairs. I included a visit with a friend who is a resident and she had reported a small problem with her TV and a workman was there promptly to fix it. She was very happy with the place. Many niceties available there. It compared very favorably with other places I have been. I was pleased to put my name on the list although I would prefer to remain in my own home for a while longer. Facility seemed very impressive with nice shared spaces and modern and accommodating rooms. This is the basis for this rating. Our experience is rated much lower. Although we had signed up for what was noted to be a 60 minute tour, our tour completed in 20 minutes. We felt very rushed, had to request an informational packet and when we asked about various amenities, we were informed of generally where they were, but not taken to see them (for example storage units, garages and where mail was delivered). Not an especially welcoming or client-prioritized experience.

Northridge Village is a very caring community. Their independent living and assisted living facilities are clean, safe and have a sense of community. There are a variety of floor plans to meet your needs. They also have an attentive and friendly staff in the short term rehab wing. The staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend it to families looking for a place for their loved ones.

From a retirement home to a rehabilitation center, to a nursing home center, northridge village has it all. 2 Independent living buildings. 2-3 hot meals a day. Cooked by our staff, meals and desserts everyday! We have a great coffee shop where you can sit and mingle, watch the news or the game. Fresh cookies put out daily along with our coffee machine. We have an always available menu to chose from. In the morning we do exercise class. There is a gym and a spa. We have a hair dresser who works in the building. Don't drive? Don't have a car? Raining and you don't want to go out? We have a transportation bus we will drive for you! We are across the street from the new fareway. Our apartments have little kitchenettes in them. 1-2 bedrooms available. Have family in town but no room in your home? We have guest rooms available. Interested or have more questions? Feel free to call and stop on in and set up a time to tour. This facility is smoke free, and pet friendly.
