To the Caring Staff at The Canopy at Azalea Grove, Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude for the compassion, dignity, and loving care you provided to our mother, Miss Amelia, during the five years she called Canopy her home. Entrusting the care of our mother to others wasn't easy, but your kindness, patience, and dedication gave us peace of mind each day. You treated our mother not simply as a resident, but as a valued member of your family. During her journey with memory loss, you helped preserve her dignity and supported her with understanding and respect. We will always be grateful for the relationships she formed with so many of you and for the countless acts of kindness—big and small—that meant so much to her and to us. Thank you for walking alongside her and our family through the challenges and blessings these past five years. The difference you made in our mother's life will never be forgotten. This is an extremely nice place for our loved ones. It's modern, clean, tidy, and kept up very well. The entire staff are most pleasant and accommodating. You can tell from their smiles that they thoroughly enjoy being here and they love the people that live here. They are unbelievably professional and always, always ready to assist in every way possible. A full calendar of relatable social activities is offered to keep our loved one's involved. The memory care is safe and secure for those requiring that level of care. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing their services. It is, in my opinion, a very efficiently run facility with great, dedicated people at the helm.

I can't say enough how wonder the staff at Canopy at Azalea Grove was. They helped our family transition through this very difficult time, when our family member started suffering with dementia. From checkin, the administration ,the care team, the lunch staff and the activity director ( who our uncle adored) helped him excel in this most difficult phase of his life. They were kind and caring to him and met all of his needs. They kept us posted when he started to decline which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately our uncle lost his battle with that horrible disease but the Canopy was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them based on our personal experience with them.

I know everyone experience will possibly be different from our. A lot has to do with what your looking for and expectations. Our experience has been a blessing. Its a difficult decision when deciding on a place for you love one. This couple with fact our love one live in Valdosta and we were out of town. Michelle worked with us and was awesome. We had some issues with with getting paperwork signed and Michelle work with us and was a great help in getting paperwork completed. The staff has been awesome. They have in house skilled thearpy and Edwin and his staff (CB and Sam) are top notch. They offer PT/OT/ST. This is an added benefit because staff can work with patient in the "Home" teaching them how to move in there space. There no need to worry about transportation to and from thearpy because it's in house. Tammy and her staff do a wonderful job. We always feel welcome to discuss any questions or concerns. Marci is super in the activities. There is always something going on the residence can attend and she does a great job posting photos on the Canopy Facebook page so we can see what our love one participatingwhich is great for family to see that out of town and she send email about up events. The residents themselves have been welcoming and we see our loveone socializing like she hasn't in many years. The food is good and is not just cafeteria food the residents have options and family can notify facility if the wish to join their love one for meals. Understand this is a service industry and like many service industry there is a little turn over but our live one has been there over 6 months has been active and involved. For us the Canopy has been the perfect place. I recommend you at least go by and check them out.

June 2023
My Mother has been living at The Canopy for just over a year. Initially, this was a difficult transition in giving up her home, driving, many of her "things" and her sense of independence. But the staff at The Canopy at Azalea Grove made every effort to get her involved, to provide things of interest including games, crafts, music programs and field trips for delicious peach ice cream. Now when she and I are out and about, she lets me know when she is ready to go home and its The Canopy she is referring to. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly, patient and kind to the residents. I am so thankful for them and the services they provide my Mother.

My dad moved into the Canopy at Azalea Grove in June of 2020. My mother had recently passed and he could no longer live alone. Everyone at the Canopy welcomed him with open arms. Alice made the transition seamless and even surprised him with his Army service photo hung on the wall on the day he arrived. Matt made sure his apartment was arranged just as wanted it and Marcia delivered daily devotionals to him when he was quarantined. The nursing staff was very attentive. The employees loved on him as he grieved. These are just a few of the examples of how they go above and beyond for their residents. Unfortunately, he has now passed and yet they still check on me as I grieve the loss of both my parents. I would highly recommend the Canopy at Azalea Grove.

I spoke to a sweet young lady 3 weeks ago regarding possibly looking for a new home for my mother. I was going to have to move her to Valdosta from North Carolina and the young lady was extremely helpful in letting me know all of the steps we would need to take. She promptly emailed me an entire packet of information with floor plans and pricing guides. Unfortunately my mothers condition changed and she passed. When Alice called to follow up on the information she sent I explained to her the change. She offered what felt like a genuine heartfelt apology for my loss and asked if there was anything she could do for our family. How refreshing it was to have someone seem to care so much, especially since she had never met myself or my mother. Although we will not get to experience The Canopy I feel confident in this recommendation based solely on my conversations with Alice and all she did to show genuineness and kindness to my family from the beginning.

I have been a resident at The Canopy since July 2020. I am very happy with my decision to move here. The food is good and all of the staff are professional.
