TerraBella Sugarloaf – Reviews
I have been going to this facility for years I have seen a great improvement since the current ED and the current group of staffing came in. Shout- out to the ED Kevin, wellness director Angela and wellness nurse Patient. They are easily accessible and helpful. I always feel welcomed by staff. Thank you for allowing Agape Hospice to provide care to your residents who need the service.
We absolutely LOVE Living here. I say we, because I feel so good when I see my Mom so happy. Kevin the Executive Director is AWESOME! He’s so humble and so personable!! The Caretakers are WONDERFUL!! The Activities Director and Staff are WONDERFUL!! Mom’s favorite thing to play is BINGO! I love when the Independent residents come in and interact with the Assisted living residents. It NEVER feels like a convalescent home. It really feels like home! It’s a beautiful community and I would recommend Terra Bella to anyone that is looking for a wonderful place called home, for us. I would name all the caretakers, the nurses and all the staff if I could but I don’t want to leave anyone out! It’s my home away from home❤️
I’ve been Working at TerraBella Sugarloaf (Discovery Village) For almost a year and when I tell you I feel like I’m working with family, I really am. Kevin is my all time favorite. He has a heart of Gold. He takes time out of him extremely busy day to make sure I’m ok. I see his passion to help others and I love how he goes above and beyond for the Residents. Now Angela is a favorite also. So great to have a health and wellness director that is down to earth. She’s so compassionate with the Residents. Sharon is my #1. She one of the sweetest People at TerraBella. If you want a Business manager that Handles Business then Sharon is that person. The list goes on and on. This place is Amazing. So come check us out and when you get there tell them Kim sent you❤️
What a wonderful event and an awesome community. The ED Kevin, wellness director Angela and their staff are amazing. They really care about the employees and their residents. Kim Knowles is a great fit to be the welcoming face of Terrabella.
The staff at Terra Bella was so amazing as they cared for my husband during his last days on earth. The memory care nurses and attendants were so diligent and loving, and the facility felt warm and secure. Our family is glad we chose Terra Bella for this last chapter of our beloved Eric's life.
I have been a resident for little over a year and I have not regretted my decision to move here one time. Kevin is a great director who cares about ea individual. his door is always open. As you see from the pictures Lori and her team provide a wide variety of activities that includes everyone. Your choice which u want to attend or not. It feels like the dysfunctional family we have all known 😊 kudos to all the staff that makes living here a plesure
My family lives there. Its beautiful but costly.
Ive lived here for a year and dont have a single bad word to say about Discovery Village! I have the freedom to customize my living space and yard, a wonderful care system, and a great group of friends that Ive met here.
I am writing this for my mom, Linda. She asked me to type the following:I was so scared to move from our home, the home we had since 1980 and to move during a pandemic was even scarier. The staff from the very beginning to now have been fantastic. We have met so many people that we call friends now. The food is good and the common areas are kept so clean. The grounds are always kept up too. We look forward to using the pool this summer too. They have done a great job keeping things going during the pandemic and things are opening back up now. We love all the activities they plan. We live in the Independent side in a 2 bd apartment an it has given my husband and I the space we need to move around. So glad we found this place.
My grandmother has lived here for almost 2 years and she loves it!! In the past theyve had rough management and staff; but with a new care system and employees in place, she adores everyone that takes care of her and loves having her own small home for herself 🙂
I looked for several months for a place for my mother to transition to. She is very happy and has made many lifelong friends. I would recommend this place for your loved ones.
My mom Ruby has been there for a little over a year and she has enjoyed living there! Everyone at Discovery is very nice and helpful.
Staff is beyond professional.
My Mimi and Papa, Linda and RJ, love living here! They always enjoy the happy hours and meeting friends. I love visiting them and seeing how happy they are living here.
Lori the activities director is so nice and does a great job keeping us all busy and entertained!!
I moved here October 2020. I had one of the cottages that flooded the first weekend I was here. I dont want to bore you with details of that experience other than EVERYTHING has improved immensely now that we are under NEW MANAGEMENT! I love living here, activity personal are awesome and have so much for activity for all levels, from Independent Living to Memory Care. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and I jokingly tell people I live where everyone knows my name! Theres so much going on, at times I have to not go to an activity just to get my personal stuff done. I feel safe day and night and I have been so pleased regarding our maintenance crew as well as other staff. I am thankful I decided on Disvovery Village over other places I looked at before moving to GA from another state.
My favorite daughter found this place for my wife and I and we couldnt be happier here. We live in the Independent Living and we have no complaints. We have so many new friends and we do join in all the activities as much as possible. My wife is the social butterfly and being around other people our age as been a blessing (for us both). Moving during a pandemic is hard but everyone here made it so simple. Food is great. Grounds are beautiful. Staff is so helpful. Common areas always clean.
We moved my parents here in September after looking at several places around the area and we kept coming back to this one. My parents, RJ and Linda, settled in nicely and has met a lot of friends there and feel like they are in the right place. I was worried when they got a new Executive Director a few months ago but it seems like its been a seamless transition. My parents havent had too many complaints and minimal issues. They would tell me if anything was off. I have had to call them to get a message or ask for them to help my parents and they always have helped me. Faye has been amazing and so sweet to me but mainly my parents. They live in the independent side for now and its been such a great place for them to now call home. For the independent side we couldnt be happier and my only hope is if they have to move to the assisted side it would continue to serve them well. For now, we are happy.
My grandmother lives here and she loves it! She loves all of the accommodations they have! And shes made multiple new close friends!
I moved my parents here in October and it has been the best decision I made. They are on the independent side and they have made a lot of new friends. The staff keeps them involved with a lot of daily things to do and checks on them all the time. They are very happy!
Thankful for the friendly environment, tasty food, and friendship my parents have found at Discovery Village. Talked to my mom today, its Mothers Day, and she was happy, my dad was happy, I am thankful.
Love this place for my mother in law. Thank you.
Nice and clean. Take yall old folks there its home away from home
A place that has had to adapt to the new norm which hasnt been the most popular. Safety precautions abound and the facility is on the radar due to the at risk population. A great track record with the promise of a brighter future thanks to the vaccine.
My mother has lived at Discovery Village, for almost a year. I couldnt be happier with the director, Steven, and his entire staff. For those responsible with providing meals, social activities, and medical care, I and my family could not be happier. My mother is happy, protected, and provided for!
My mom has lived here for several years in a cottage thats bigger than my house. There is a courtyard with a fountain, a pool, theater, TV room, plus a nice dining room with delicious meals and a bistro for snacks and salads. The manager and all of his staff have been *wonderful* and very cautious during lockdown, making sure everyone is cared for daily, and working hard to keep everyones spirits up, even bringing in musicians to perform in the courtyard.
I am appalled by the treatment I have received when I moved in here last week. they hired movers, who were terrible. when I arrived to the apartment after waiting until 1:30am in the morning, the apartment smelled awful from polyurethane, which they waited until the last minute to do, and messed up the entire floor, and now have to do it over. they gave me another room which also smelled, and i had to sleep in the hallway because the smells were so bad. the storage unit in the basement is an absolute disgrace, it smells, its filthy and makes me feel like if they have that filth, what else is filthy in the building. my apartment was filthy, they proudly told me they have a dog park, with a fence that doesn't reach the ground, so the dogs can get out, the inside of my kitchen cabinets are dirty, the air conditioners are so dirty inside the vents, that it make me nauseous. the worst part is their unwillingness to fix these problems in a timely fashion. what you will discover here is its not a clean, efficient place!
My new home! Very friendly place! Good food1!!!
This is a very caring professional staff that creates a smooth operation. I at first had put my husband into memory care and after two or three days they explained to me that my husband should not be there but in personal care. A smooth transition occurred. My husband was an avid fisherman and the executive director takes them fishing once a month! I have found that the personal Care staff is so kind and patient with my husband. However, as in any facility, theres one or two bad apples that if they are required to leave the facility that it is sometimes with anger. Quite possibly they might even go on the website and give bad reviews!
My parents have been there for about a month. Great facility and wonderful people!
This is a great community with ever present local leadership in the executive director, Steven Custer. He takes great care in the whole community and all the residents, and has even spearheaded a men's group for the residents to go on outings like fishing trips every month. In addition to local leadership, Discovery Senior Living has great corporate values and standards which are clear to see. I see nothing but happy faces on the residents and families.
Great family atmosphere. Staff has been very friendly and welcoming. Great food
Employees have been very caring for my mom and helped us move her from the assisted living to their memory care unit.
Very freindly staff. They are warm and very inviting. Beautiful community that offers Independent Cottages, Independent apartments, Assisted living and Memory Care.
My Mom has lived in a cottage at Noble Village for the past 3 years and it has been an excellent choice for her at this stage of her life. She is independent enough to live alone, but does not drive. The activities and the meals provided at Noble Village have allowed her to have an active life and do many things for herself without being dependent on her kids for everything. Karan works hard to plan outings and activities that the residents will enjoy and Denise and Julie are always available to listen and attend to any concerns that we may have. Moving my Mom here was the best decision for our family and I have no regrets with the choice that we made.
