OMGOODNESS the BESTest place ever! Mom has been in 2 other facilities since 2016. The first one she stayed at for 5 Up and Down years of service. She escaped twice and I won't even mention the rest. Needless to say, they shut down... with little notice. The second place, I thought she was IT! Not even a year later...Chaos! Resident care seem to be lacking as well as the bldg... then mom fell...from losing her "balance" turning around. ” Not on my watch! Got mom OUTTA there. My Mother has been a Memory Care resident for 8 months. The Memory Care unit has smaller capacity than most facilities allowing for more intimate care for loved ones. Favorite caregivers are Idella, Vivian and others - favorite Med Techs: Damita, Shantel and others. Excellent care is provided at this facility The Diector, Shanika makes herself available when needs arise and does a great job addressing any concerns

When I found myself facing one of life’s most unpredictable circumstances, that of finding the best living situation for a family member with memory issues, Oaks at Snellville was highly recommended. I immediately did a Google search and was pleased with their philosophy of honoring the person’s life story, and weaving it into their care. I called the Director of Community Relations, Courtenay, and arranged a meeting. She was very welcoming, patient, and informative. I was particularly moved by their person-directed approach to care, which she thoroughly explained to me. The Executive Director, Shanika, was extremely helpful to me in navigating this difficult journey. I’m very pleased with the level of care being given. The transition has been very smooth. I feel a great deal of comfort seeing my family member happy and making new friends, as well as enjoying the many activities provided.

My 96- year old mom has lived at The Oaks at Snellville for about 2 years. We have found that the staff is caring and makes sure my mom is taken care of on a daily basis. They greet me with a smile and readily provide feedback on my mom’s daily activities, progress and/or challenges. The director is extremely personable and has a genuine interest in my mom’s well-being. I am grateful that we connected with The Oaks!

I cannot recommend Oaks (Snellville) highly enough. Compassion, cross-training, attention to detail, communicative and flexible are just a few attempts to describe. As well as timely responses to pendant calls! The main facility operates like an intimate group home with a feeling of community. Physical, emotional & dietary health are openly discussed and practiced through the main office, nurses' station, kitchen and activities. Residents often are smiling and upbeat. Music is nice in the lobby area. Nice courtyard to walk out back. LIght/bright upstairs community room. Cleaning staff is thorough and open to tweaks to ensure resident comfort & privacy. Doors stay locked 24/7 (there is also a memory care component). Easy to work with thorough auto-billing, email/text & phone calls. Good support structure for on-the-go families. Staff known to call and update proactively between visits - a plus! Recommended service at a fair price. 5-stars. Kudos to Leadership. My mom picked out a wonderful safe Haven for my 98 year old grandma.everyone there is so nice to her and are very nice to us.the staff members are wonderful caring people that make you feel right at home.But first and foremost thank you so much for taking great care of my nana as she is my bright and shinning star and is the heart beat of our family.

My dad has been at Eastside Gardens for a couple of years and we couldn't be happier. The staff takes great care of the residents and my dad is always talking about how they are so friendly and nice and just "good people." They have a ton of activities and a well-kept facility. They do a good job of communicating with family members about our loved ones and I SO appreciate how careful they have been during COVID-19 to keep the infections out of the community. It has meant restricted visiting time to see my dad but it's worth it to keep him and his fellow residents safe!

My mother has now been at Eastside Gardens for a little over a year. The staff is very nice to her and she enjoys all the activities they plan for the residents, especially Bingo. Additionally, the weekly Salon Day is something my mother looks forward to each week. They have done a great job during the pandemic and not one resident has tested positive for Covid. We are very thankful. I highly recommend Eastside Gardens if you need a place for your loved one(a).

Eastside Gardens has kind and caring staff! They are responsive and have worked hard to see that my mother's needs are met and that she find her place among the residents and that she make friends. Katie and Maggie have gone out of their way to see that Mom is comfortable. Mom loves the food and speaks highly of her choices. While we cannot see Mom because of Covid, they are putting Sunshine Visits in place that allow us to have time out on the front porch rocking chairs while wearing masks and social distancing. These visits have helped Mom tremendously!

I believe this is the second review that I have ever done online, but I think that I have to share how I feel about the work that the staff and leadership at Eastside Gardens Assisted Living have done during CoVid 19. Eastside Gardens has gotten four months into the spread of the virus and still has not had a single resident or staff member infected! My father is 96 years old and definitely is at risk of death from this virus. I am extremely thankful for all the hard work, hard decisions and difficult planning that it has taken day in and day out to safeguard my dad and all the residents at Eastside! Every time I read how the virus has spread and the danger it poses to the elderly, I am thankful that my dad is at Eastside Gardens! Thank you Eastside Gardens!!!

I have had the privilege to visit with the residents at Eastside Gardens and it is truly a wonderful place. The staff is amazing and loving. My first encounter was with the activities director Katie Mitchell and she truly cares for the residents. She makes sure they have a productive, mentally stimulating, informative and fun day! My next encounter was with Johnnie Cheney the director. She is so dynamic and truly cares for the residents. I listened as she sought out a specific need for a resident to make sure that the resident had someone to communicate with due to the fact that she speaks another language. Going above and beyond is what truly impressed Me!

I have visited Eastside Gardens on 3 separate occasions. Each time, I felt more and more that my mother would be welcomed and at home here. The Executive Director, Johnnie Cheney has the Southern charm and warm personality you should demand from your loved ones’ caregivers. Unfortunately, I waited too long and was unable to move my mother in. They did not have a vacancy when I wanted to move my mother. Eastside Gardens has restored my faith in assisted living facilities, as I had a negative experience at one of their local competitors.

I can't say enough great things about Eastside Gardens! They have been so helpful from the very beginning of my journey on finding a new home for my mother. They set up a meeting to have someone walk me through the steps of getting her approved for VA benefits. I could not have done it without them. I can not begin to tell you folks how happy my sister and I are, about the care that Eastside Gardens and their staff give to my 95 year old father. He had an unfortunate fall on his 95th birthday, and spent 6 weeks in the hospital and then a rehab center, and he was miserable. We found Eastside Gardens in an excellent location, and the first person we met was the Executive Director, Johnnie Cheney. She was very helpful, caring, and amazingly professional. My sister and I were amazed at the caring attitude of the whole staff! Dad was evaluated and it was decided that he would go to their "Bridge to Rediscovery." Wow, so pleasant and just like being at home. My dad feels so comfortable, and the staff, man, the staff is the best I have ever seen. From the great Chief John, to the wonderful care givers Brittany and all, it is a real treat to go visit dad, and feel so much love and caring, and a very relaxing feeling. I have to mention that four years ago, I went through 4 months of rehab centers, assisted living, and memory care for my mother, who was 90, and I sure wish I had found Eastside Gardens for her. This is not an easy time for my family, but I feel so much at ease, as the staff consistently shows love and caring to the residents at Eastside Gardens. A true caring family center for your loved ones. I am so looking forward to many more visits there, and getting involved in the many activities they have. I could go on and on, but I do feel that my sister and I, and dad, have been blessed to find such a wonderful facility.
