My parents have been at Summer Breeze for almost two years now. It was difficult for them to leave North Carolina where they have spent their entire lives, but Summer Breeze staff were very welcoming and did everything possible to make them feel at home! They have great activities and outings to keep them busy and to socialize with other residents. We are very happy with our decision!

The care from the staff while my mother was there was awesome. Everybody is so kind. It’s very clean, the meals were delicious, and the activities were great, trips to Tybee, music, and arts and crafts kept her busy! The staff genuinely care about their residents.

Summer Breeze community and staff are a godsend to our family. In the winter of 2022 we moved my mother to the Summer Breeze community after two years of Covid isolation. Living alone in Atlanta, mini strokes and mandated cessation of all interaction (church, social & volunteer) had taken a real toll on her quality of life. The past six months have made all the difference. The facility, staff and residents are all very engaging and encouraging. They made a dreaded transition incredibly smooth. The community is roomy, spotless, bright and light, with the coastal vibe that is Wilmington Island. It sits in a lovely neighborhood, next to Savannah Country Club, not concrete sprawl. Mom loves the front porch with rockers. The management of medications and a diet of three great meals a day has brought my mothers strength back. (My mother recently told a waiter at the 1790 Restaurant downtown, “I get to eat like this every day.“) Engaging twice a week therapy and monthly nail and hair appointments are a definite plus. There is regular dialogue regarding prescriptions and health issues. Choosing to be active in mom‘s life, we have found communication with management, household and healthcare staff to be timely and on point. My mother takes advantage of the many activities and travel opportunities offered to residence. She still talks about seeing the Savannah Bannanas at Grayson Stadium, which is one of the hottest tickets in Savannah. We have also appreciated the fact that the leadership at Summer Breeze are folks with roots in Savannah. Many of the residents come from families, businesses and faith communities that are integral to the city of Savannah. This is real community. The best part is, Summer Breeze has given my mother the safety, support and strength to get back out into the world, doing the things she has always wanted to do. So, at the 6 month mark, we want to publicly thank the incredible team at Summer Breeze.

The staff at Summer Breeze goes above and beyond to make our parents feel safe and cared for. They have many enjoyable activities, safely distanced during this quarantine, to keep them involved. Watching Grandma dance the shimmy at 92 years young made our day! We loved the smiles! Thank you Summer Breeze!

My friends mother was a resident here and loved it. Always said the food was amazing! I started following the page and now am a huge fan of Summer Breeze and all the fun things I see going on for the residents. They are at the head of the class with cute, cool, fun events...ice cream socials, pizza parties, movie nights with a bucket of treats, seasonal crafts, obligatory yet surely requested bingo nights, low country boils, and I could go on and on. The community also supports this beautiful place and drops by goodies for residents and staff. If you havent figured it out yet, this is the place to be, if you have to be at a place like The Breeze as I like to call it. I am wondering if theres a shack out back for a 50 year old who has less of a social life than they do!!! Keep on rocking in the free world with your latest addition of the Rockin Radio Recliner. A recliner that allows them to take turns being a DJ and broadcasting to the other residents with songs of their choosing..sign me up! I love music and we know how good it is for the soul. I am never disappointed with the joy they work hard to bring to the loved ones entrusted to them. #thebreeze

The staff is very attentive and concerned for my nlaws. They take care of my mother n law diabetic needs and meals. There is always something to do. They keep the residents busy.

I have worked at Summer Breeze for 5 years but have been involved with SB for 10 years. Prior to my employment with them, every time I visited I knew there was something special about Summer Breeze. It felt like home, residents were happy and it always smelled like something delicious was baking in the oven. When the opportunity came to work there, I was thrilled.
