This place has deteriorated drastically in 2022. Little care is provided. Staff is rude. Rooms are not maintained. Medications are not delivered on schedule. Rooms are mildewed and stink. Many times, staff does not answer call buttons. Food is horrible. There is no activity director or nurse. Staff does not evaluate patients needs. When my parent was hospitalized recently, the doctor would not allow discharge to Addington Place, for fear of their safety.

My husband and I had a delightful experience with Addington Place of Roswell. We were transitioning my mother in law who was very anxious about the entire process. Shayla and the entire staff helped us and her to feel totally at ease from the get go. They have created a warm, loving community. They could not have been easier to work with helping us with everything from the paperwork to decorating tips! The care is amazing!

I moved my mom into Addington Place of Roswell in early June and I have been very happy with this place. This was our third attempt to find a home for mom and we love this place. The rennovations done last year are great, but what really makes this place is the staff. Shayla Collier helped us with the move, and continues to do things everyday for mom -- extra little things that make mom feel loved. Her help has been invaluable. Kimoya Hill & the rest of the staff have also been great and it feels good to have finally found a good home for mom.

One of the best things about Addington Place is there staff especially Ms. Shalya. While this community was not the best fit for the specific need Shayla did not discard the need. Shayla went above and beyond in attempts to find the right fit for the need outside of her community. Navigating the world of becoming the parent to your parent is not easy. With Shayla’s help along with others, she/they helped me to manage the stress associated with this endeavor. Thank you and your staff and community connects for ALL of Your Help!! You are the BEST!!

Our family is so fortunate to have made Addington Place of Roswell the assistive living choice for the care of our mother. From the moment we met with Executive Director, Shayla Collier, we could not have asked for a better experience. Shayla was patient and thorough as we explored options, and presented a plan perfectly suited for Moms current and future needs then led Addington team to make the transition easy on us and, most importantly, Mom. The entire staff is friendly, accommodating and attentive and goes the extra mile to make sure moms every need is met - we can rest well knowing she is safe, comfortable, happy and in the best of hands.Addington offers an intimate setting and pleasant environment for their guests and family and the staff truly work to make sure residents feel welcome, involved and included in the many activities and services available. Rooms are spacious and clean and common areas comfortable, bright and tastefully decorated. But most importantly, Addington provides personalized care and a staff that makes the difference. Special thanks again to Shayla who is a super star at relating to residents and families to ensure all are part of the Addington family!

Shayla and the entire staff facilitated the entire move for a friend into Memory Care. They did an excellent job not only before the move-in but afterwards. They have followed up on every detail. I strongly recommend them

My mother was a resident at Addington Place of Roswell for eight years, all in their memory care unit. I had mistakenly overestimated her ability to live in assisted living, but the staff quickly recognized her limitations, and she was placed in memory care with twenty-four hours of admission. Their intuitiveness, professional training and caring attitudes toward these residents was nothing short of amazing. It takes special caregivers to deal with dementia, and I could not have asked for a more experienced group. If there was ever a concern on my part (and there were very few), it was addressed promptly to the benefit of my mother. The director at the time of her admission gave me very good advice. You have to stop trying to figure out this disease. You never will. Even with all our training, we cant do it. What you do is you deal with what it hands you. You have done that. You have brought her to us. That was a defining moment for me, and I never regretted moving my mother to this facility.

Thanks to a caring and attentive staff Addington was the perfect home and community for my dad in the last year of his life. I am sorry he wasnt there longer. We moved Dad in at the same time they were transitioning to a Phoenix property (the beginning of 2018) Theyve made impressive strides in one year and have created a special family community. They have a wonderful chef, an excellent management team, an attentive care staff and helpful facilities team. Ginger King and Kimoya Hill will do their best to meet your familysneeds! I recommend Addington Place at the Mills!

Last January I was looking at several different assisted living properties for my 98 year old father. When I visited Addington Place at the Mills, a family member of a resident stopped me to tell me how great the place was for their loved one. That personal recommendation played a large role in my decision - I hope to do the same for you. My dad was at Addington for 10 short months and the move required a lot of adjustment for him, coming from living independently in California. The staff at Addington went out of their way to make him feel welcomed and before long, it felt like home to him. He liked the facility very much but in all honesty, he often had a recommendation to share with the staff - they were great about listening to and accommodating his suggestions making him feel that he hadnt lost influence and control of his life. He always had high praise for the staff, management and even the food (despite reviews you might read, the food was-is excellent! I joined Dad often and it was always delicious) They have workshops for family members and care givers. I attended one that offered a Virtual Dementia experience. It was very helpful. They keep family informed with calendars and monthly menus. The seasonal family socials were all exceptional! The quality of the Holiday-Christmas party blew my mind! It exceeded several corporate Christmas parties I have been to! Im still impressed by that evening! In November, Ginger King coordinated an especially honoring Veterans Day event. Local dignitaries including two senators were in attendance to honor the many veterans and thank them for their service. Dad moved from assisted living into their memory care in November and then into hospice. Kimoya Hill went above and beyond to keep him (and I) comfortable and happy during those difficult days. I sat in dads room all hours of the day and night and I could hear how the care staff and CMAs interacted with the other residents as they fed, cared for and engaged them. I was struck by their constant kindness - never a harsh word. I listened to them as they treated the residents with patience and kindness, creating a loving family environment. When I wasnt there, I knew Dad was in good hands and was being well cared for. Addington Place at the Mills became my home away from home and I am going to miss being a part of their community.

For the past six months I’ve been seeing patients under hospice care services at Addington Place at the Mill. As a hospice social worker and advocate for older adults and families, I’ve seen a lot of really great things happening in this community. I can really appreciate the cross training experience that has been implemented where all caregivers have the opportunity to understand the unique needs of those living with memory impairment. Not only do employees have the chance to experience the Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT), but going through certified dementia practitioner training is a requirement of the company. When you’re visiting this community, you might see a terrific caregiver like Nadea feeding a resident on the memory care unit who is no longer able to feed themselves. Another week you may find her providing standby assistance with a resident who is on their way to the dining room for lunch. With the big, bright smile from Eva when you enter this community, to the guitar playing and gorgeous voice of Ginger engaging residents in song, I never know what to expect but I know it’s going to be great! :-)Great job Kimoya to you and your team! I always see your residents smiling and your staff genuinely seem to enjoy their work. Thanks Drew, Shirley, Cheryl, Drew, Lamara, LaShaun and Nick! I am looking forward to continuing to make a difference together in the months ahead! With appreciation, Dara McMillan, LMSW

I have been working in this community for years now as an outside provider and have seen it go through many changes. Communities in this industry have administrative changes frequently and also change ownership on a regular basis. I have seen this community through their ups and downs and can confidently say that things are looking up. Being an unbiased, outside source, I am happy to say that since Phoenix Senior Living stepped in and bought this community they have done a complete 360. The executive director is taking the bull by the horns and not only acting as ED, but also playing the Director of Nursing role. She is taking this very seriously and orchestrating the hiring herself, and I quote, "to find the A-team". Growing up in Roswell and seeing all of the changes this community has gone through, it is refreshing to see happy residents and employees all working together to bring joy to those who live there. P.S. The food is awesome.

I give Addington Place at the Mills five stars. Not because it is the most beautiful and impressive facility but because this quaint and well located facility is exactly what we needed for my dad! Their administrative and support staff bent over backwards to make this resistant, 97 year old's move from independent living in California to assisted living in Georgia smooth and welcoming. The entire staff is very aware, attentive, interactive and so kind! I have been impressed by the support and education extended to the family members. Dad loves the food and I love the peace of mind I finally have knowing he is in good hands!

If I could rate this any higher, I would. It is a perfect 10! My mom was recently at Addington Place under Hospice care and it was truly a blessing for my mom. She had a lot of health issues and not able to return to her home. Addington was as close to home as you could imagine. The extra little touches were amazing. They decorated to her style and colors and it looked like her home. She felt warmth and compassion from all of the staff. My whole family did. They didn't just pay attention to my mom, but my whole family. They treated us like part of their family. They have recently been purchased by Phoenix Senior Living and they are transforming the place. We were at several facilities these past few months and Addington was so much better than any others by a long shot. And I heard they have more plans too. They are a gem in Historic Roswell
